Companies Using BlueConic

Our October 2026 crawl finds BlueConic on 2,898 live domains, and its biggest user isn't a retailer or a publisher. 641 of those domains are animal hospital sites built on one template and reporting to one BlueConic account, with tags registered to Mission Pet Health, a veterinary group based in Birmingham, Alabama. Most of the rest are publishers, universities and consumer brands. Below is the list of companies that use BlueConic, with size, country, industry and stack, including Forbes, CBC, ING, Dollar Tree and Rutgers University.

BlueConic is a customer data platform, backed by Vista Equity Partners since 2022, and it bought the cross-channel marketing platform Blueshift in June 2026. It ranks 15th of the 68 tools we track in Customer Data Platform, with 1.0% of the category. BlueConic gives each customer its own script hostname, so we can count accounts as well as sites: the 2,415 domains where we could read one share 257 hostnames.

BlueConic Usage Statistics

BlueConic reads 2,426 domains in June 2026, 2,901 in July, 2,861 in August, 2,909 in September and 2,898 in October. The June to July step reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect BlueConic with, and the crawled set turns over every month as dead sites drop out and newly found ones are added. The line has been flat since July. We began tracking BlueConic in March 2026, and since then 807 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname; 193 of those still run it on another, so 614 dropped it everywhere.

List of Companies Using BlueConic

Who uses BlueConic? Our list of companies using BlueConic names 50 of the 1,690 matched companies, each of which loaded BlueConic's script when we crawled it. The websites using BlueConic come in clusters, because a publisher or university usually runs one account across many domains: FanSided's account covers 165, Mark Allen Group's 82 and Rutgers' 13. In a random sample of 117 live domains that answered, 33 forwarded to a different domain, so dedupe by account before you count companies.

Expert Analysis: BlueConic Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Sophie Clarke
Sophie ClarkeProduct Marketing Manager, TechnologyChecker

BlueConic sells to retail, ecommerce, consumer goods and travel brands. Its own description for AI assistants lists exactly those four as its target industries. The web shows a different customer base. Our October 2026 crawl counts a domain when its pages load BlueConic's script from blueconic.net or set its globals, such as blueConicClient. That gives 2,898 live domains, 1,690 of them matched to a company, 15th of 68 in Customer Data Platform. The biggest user is a vet group. Most of the others are publishers and universities.

One hostname per customer

BlueConic gives each customer its own hostname, forbes.blueconic.net or ing.blueconic.net, and that name appears in every page load, so we can count accounts instead of guessing. Of the 2,416 live domains where our crawl recorded BlueConic's script in the past 60 days, 2,415 resolve to an account, and they share 257 hostnames. The spread is steep. 108 accounts cover a single domain and 88 cover two to five, while two accounts cover 806 domains between them. BlueConic says the combined company serves more than 600 customers since it bought Blueshift, and 257 is well short of that. Blueshift's customers came with the deal and most likely don't run BlueConic's web tag yet, and some BlueConic customers serve the script from their own subdomain.

Sales signal: a competing CDP's real prospect list is about 257 accounts, not 2,898 domains. The 22 accounts with more than 20 domains each are where the large contracts are.

The vet group

641 domains are animal hospital sites on one template, served from svptemplate.vet, and every one reports to the same BlueConic account. The sites also carry a Monetate tag registered to missionpethealth.com. Mission Pet Health describes itself as a veterinarian-led community of animal hospitals, specialty practices and urgent cares, with a home office in Birmingham, Alabama. LinkedIn lists the clinics as separate small businesses, so they bend every chart. They are 354 of the 362 veterinary companies, 544 of the 1,186 companies with 50 or fewer staff, and 558 of the 1,344 US companies.

Sales signal: one contract covers 641 domains. If you sell to veterinary groups, this account already runs a CDP, Osano for consent and call tracking, and the decision sits in Birmingham, not in each clinic.

Flat since July

The chart reads 2,426 in June, 2,901 in July, 2,861 in August, 2,909 in September and 2,898 in October. The June to July step reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect BlueConic with, and the domain set turns over every month as dead sites drop out and new ones appear. Since then the count hasn't moved. Since March 2026, 807 domains dropped BlueConic on at least one hostname; 193 still run it on another, so 614 dropped it everywhere.

"Take out one vet group and BlueConic's web footprint looks like the company it grew up as: newspapers, magazines and universities. The retail and CPG brands it sells to now are a smaller part of what we can see." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: the installed base on the web isn't growing. I'd expect BlueConic's next growth to show up in Blueshift's email and messaging channels, which a web crawl can't see, so treat this domain list as stable.

Publishers, universities and the brands it targets

Newspaper Publishing and Book and Periodical Publishing have 104 companies each (7.1%), and Media Production and Broadcast Media add 3.48% and 2.8%. The publisher accounts are big ones. FanSided's covers 165 fan sites and Mark Allen Group's 82 trade titles, and Forbes and CBC run BlueConic on their main sites. Higher Education is 5.67% of companies but heavy in our top-50 list, where Rutgers, Furman, Bryant and the University of Michigan-Flint run it, often on admissions and graduate pages. Europe is a real share. The Netherlands has 141 matched companies and Belgium 16, including Wageningen University & Research, Maastricht University, ING and Delhaize.

BlueConic's published customer stories lean the other way, to consumer brands such as Essity, Nestlé Purina, PepsiCo, ASICS and HEINEKEN USA. At least two of them show up in our crawl with BlueConic loading on the live page. Electrolux runs it on its Brazilian online store, and Roularta, a magazine publisher with its own case study, runs it on sites such as knipmode.nl and libelle-lekker.be under one account. Dollar Tree, Lowes Foods and Kabrita are other consumer names we found.

Sales signal: for a vendor selling to publishers, BlueConic's account list is a ready-made target of media groups that already pay for first-party data. Consumer-brand sellers will find fewer BlueConic accounts than its marketing suggests.

Where it sits beside rivals

Segment is the CDP most often seen next to BlueConic, and the two run together rather than replacing each other. 93 domains run both today, out of 153 ever seen with the pair. The 16 domains that dropped BlueConic and kept Segment don't pass our switching test, because most sites ever seen with both still have both. Exponea runs on 32 BlueConic domains. Treasure Data, the nearest larger CDP at 5,607 domains, never shares a site with BlueConic in our crawl, and mParticle has done so once.

"We found no migration row worth publishing for BlueConic. Its sites run Segment alongside it, and that pattern is about adding tools, which is a different story from replacing one." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: pitch to BlueConic accounts as an add-on. The 93 sites running Segment too already split the job between two vendors.

The stack around it

Google Tag Manager runs on 96.1% of the 2,950 live domains we profile and Google Analytics on 90.81%. The publisher stack shows clearly: LiveRamp's Launchpad (14.85%), Marfeel (13.93%), comScore (13.66%), Chartbeat (12.64%) and Parse.ly (11.56%). The clinic template brings Osano (31.25%), Microsoft Clarity, ASP.NET and IIS. Adobe's tag manager is on only 4.58% of BlueConic domains, against 39.42% of Treasure Data's, so BlueConic's customers mostly aren't Adobe shops.

Sales signal: a BlueConic publisher typically runs an ad-revenue stack with identity tools such as LiveRamp's. The buyer for adjacent tools is the audience or revenue team that already owns BlueConic.

Owner, price and Blueshift

Vista Equity Partners invested in BlueConic in 2022, per its about page, and Melissa Murray Bailey is chief executive. On 17 June 2026 BlueConic announced it had acquired Blueshift, an AI-driven cross-channel marketing platform, and said the combined company serves more than 600 customers. There's no public price list: blueconic.com/pricing forwards to the contact page (checked 12 October 2026).

Sales signal: post-acquisition, BlueConic accounts will be pitched Blueshift's messaging tools. ESP and messaging vendors selling to these 257 accounts should expect that bundle in the room.

Key takeaways

1. 2,898 live domains, 15th of 68 in Customer Data Platform with 1.0%.

2. About 257 accounts, readable from BlueConic's per-customer hostnames.

3. One vet group, Mission Pet Health, is 641 of the domains.

4. Outside it, the base is publishers and universities, and 32.38% of matched companies were founded before 1960.

5. Segment runs beside it on 93 domains; nothing we see is switching.

How to use this list

Dedupe by account hostname, then split publishers, universities and consumer brands, because each buys differently. For the full list of 2,898 BlueConic domains with company, size and stack data, explore TechnologyChecker.io.
