mParticle Usage Statistics
mParticle reads 8,681 domains in June 2026, then 21,837 in July, 21,362 in August, 18,671 in September and 19,070 in October. The July step is mostly State Farm. None of its agent sites appears in our mParticle records before June 2026, and 14,388 were first seen in June or July. Two things on our side affect any step too: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The fall after July is turnover. Since March 2026, 11,626 domains have dropped mParticle: 5,847 youth-sports club sites built on SportsEngine, and 2,576 State Farm agent sites. 326 of the 11,626 still run it on another hostname.

Which Countries Use mParticle the Most?
Which countries use mParticle the most? The United States, with 9,457 matched companies, far ahead of Canada (114), the United Kingdom (59), Germany (36) and Australia (31). State Farm agencies are most of the American figure. Outside State Farm we matched 1,538 companies and 1,074 of them are American, so the base stays US-led even without the agents. These counts cover the 10,010 mParticle domains we matched to a company.
Share of the 10,010 mParticle domains we matched to a company record — 52.5% of the 19,070 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
mParticle Market Share Among Customer Data Platform
What is mParticle's market share? 6.59% of Customer Data Platform, 5th of the 68 tools we track there, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. Segment (78,243 domains, 27.02%) and Adobe Experience Platform Identity Service (76,447, 26.4%) lead, and Rudderstack (21,179) sits just above mParticle. That share is mostly State Farm. Take its agent sites out and mParticle's web footprint is 3,803 domains, below Treasure Data's 5,607.

mParticle Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use mParticle? On this chart, tiny ones: 69.09% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and 25.56% have 11 to 50. Those are mostly State Farm agencies, each matched to its own small LinkedIn page. The enterprise buyers sit outside them. 134 matched companies have more than 1,000 staff, and 133 of them aren't State Farm, including Starbucks, McDonald's, Marks & Spencer, Western Union and Ulta Beauty.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (36.44%), then the 2000s (20.05%), the 1990s (11.34%) and the 2020s (11.19%). Only 1,287 of the 10,010 matched companies list a founding year, so this chart covers far fewer companies than the size chart. The oldest names include Western Union (1851), Marks & Spencer (1884) and McDonald's (1955).
What Industries Use mParticle the Most?
Insurance is 83.61% of matched companies (7,185), and that is State Farm. Everything else is a long tail, based on our enriched company data: Non-profit Organizations 1.73%, Restaurants 1.55%, Hospitality 1.48%, Financial Services 0.71%. Part of the nonprofit and restaurant tail is platform-delivered. Charities' donation pages on Classy load Classy's mParticle key, and many restaurant sites get it through ChowNow's or Beyond Menu's ordering pages.
Restaurant brands using mParticle include McDonald's, Shake Shack, Jimmy John's and Texas Roadhouse, each under its own key. Retailers on mParticle include Marks & Spencer, Ulta Beauty, Aerie and Giant Eagle. Media companies using mParticle include the BBC, Channel 4, NBC News and Postmedia's Financial Post.
mParticle Alternatives & Competitors
Segment and Adobe's identity service lead the category, and on mParticle's domains they mostly run alongside it. 14,933 domains run mParticle and Segment today, and 15,638 run mParticle and Adobe Experience Platform Identity Service, because State Farm's agent sites load all three. Outside State Farm, only 143 domains also run Segment and 613 Adobe's identity service. Treasure Data shares 165 live domains with mParticle, Rudderstack 11 and Insider (3,899 domains after its own page removed Samsung clone sites) just 8.

How We Counted mParticle Customers
A domain counts here when its pages load mParticle's web SDK: the mParticle global, a script from an mparticle.com host, or the same SDK served from Rokt's address, apps.rokt-api.com. We checked that the Rokt-hosted copy is really mParticle. Of the 6,160 domains outside the Mirus agent platform, 4,751 had scripts we could read: 1,003 loaded an mparticle.com host, 1,869 only a Rokt host and 1,879 neither. Of ten Rokt-only pages we opened in a browser, nine ran mParticle's SDK (version 3.16.1), five under the site's own key, such as Instacart, Audible and CubeSmart; the tenth redirected to a page we couldn't load. On CubeSmart's site the only integration the SDK switched on was Rokt's, so some of these sites may run it for Rokt's checkout offers rather than as a CDP.
We don't remove anyone from the headline, but we do re-base it. 15,023 of the 18,826 domains we profile are State Farm agent sites: 12,666 run on the Mirus agent-website platform and 2,357 more tie to State Farm through its scripts, its mParticle key or the page title. That leaves 3,803 domains, and 952 of those load mParticle through a platform's account rather than their own: 418 fundraising pages on Classy or GoFundMe, 384 restaurant ordering sites on Beyond Menu, ChowNow or Grubhub, and 150 sites that redirect to or embed Eventbrite. We dropped seven charities and hospitals from the company list because the mParticle we found on their sites came with Classy's donation pages. The other 2,851 domains run mParticle under a brand's own key, or one we couldn't read, and some brands hold many of them: Lennar's key covers 133 community sites and Postmedia's 78 local papers.
Expert Analysis: mParticle Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

mParticle is 5th by live domains in our Customer Data Platform table, with 19,070 live domains in our October 2026 crawl and 10,010 of them matched to a company. A domain counts when its pages load mParticle's web SDK: the mParticle global, a script from mparticle.com, or the same SDK served from Rokt's address. That headline hides one fact you need before you use the list. Most of it is a single insurer.
One customer, four domains in five
15,023 of the 18,826 domains we profile are State Farm agent sites. 12,666 run on Mirus, the agent-website platform, and 2,357 more tie to State Farm through its scripts, its mParticle key or a page title of the form "[agent name] - State Farm Insurance Agent in [town]". On the Mirus sites, wherever we could read a key it was State Farm's, the same one statefarm.com loads. The same fleet is about half of our Google Cloud Storage count, because Mirus serves those sites from storage buckets. That leaves 3,803 domains outside State Farm, and that is the number that describes mParticle's wider market.
Sales signal: treat State Farm as one account. If you sell to insurers, the agent list is a map of one deployment, not 15,000 buyers.
The July step and the churn
The chart jumps from 8,681 domains in June 2026 to 21,837 in July, then drifts down to 19,070 in October. State Farm explains most of the jump: none of its agent sites appears in our mParticle records before June, and 14,388 were first seen in June or July. Our side matters as well, because the set of domains we crawl turns over every month and our detection signals widen over time. The fall after July is turnover. 11,626 domains have dropped mParticle since we began tracking it in March 2026. 5,847 of them are youth-sports club and league sites built on SportsEngine, which we no longer see loading it, and 2,576 are State Farm agent sites. 326 still run it on another hostname.
"Half of mParticle's churn since March is youth sports leagues on one website platform, which looks like a platform change more than thousands of lost customers." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: don't read the falling line as brands leaving mParticle. Look at named brands outside State Farm before you call it a declining base.
What Rokt changed
Rokt and mParticle announced their merger on 16 January 2025, with Rokt investing US$300 million, and Rokt's CEO told AdExchanger it was taking a 100% stake. In our crawl the SDK now often loads from apps.rokt-api.com. Of the 6,160 domains outside the Mirus platform, 4,751 had scripts we could read: 1,003 loaded an mparticle.com host, 1,869 only a Rokt host and 1,879 neither. I opened ten of the Rokt-only pages, and nine ran mParticle's SDK (version 3.16.1), five of them under the site's own key: Instacart, Audible, Taskrabbit, CubeSmart and Best Friends Animal Society. On CubeSmart the only integration the SDK switched on was Rokt's.
Sales signal: some of these sites may run mParticle only to power Rokt's checkout offers. Ask which team owns it before you pitch a CDP replacement.
The market outside State Farm
Of the 3,803 other domains, 952 load mParticle through a platform's account: 418 fundraising pages on Classy or GoFundMe, 384 restaurant ordering sites on Beyond Menu, ChowNow or Grubhub, and 150 sites that redirect to or embed Eventbrite. That leaves at most 2,851 domains under brands' own keys, and some brands hold many: Lennar's key covers 133 community sites and Postmedia's 78 local papers. The brands are big. 134 matched companies have more than 1,000 staff, and 133 of them aren't State Farm, among them Starbucks, McDonald's, Marks & Spencer, Ulta Beauty and Western Union. Outside State Farm we matched 1,538 companies, 1,074 of them American, and nonprofits (149), restaurants (132) and hospitality (127) lead the industries.
Sales signal: the real mParticle list is a few thousand domains of restaurant, retail, hospitality, media and nonprofit brands. Filter out State Farm, Classy, ChowNow and Beyond Menu, and the list gets much cleaner.
Segment, Adobe and the rest
Segment and Adobe Experience Platform Identity Service lead the category, and on mParticle's domains they mostly run alongside it. 14,933 domains run mParticle and Segment today, and 15,638 run mParticle and Adobe's identity service, because State Farm's agent sites load all three. Outside State Farm only 143 domains run Segment too. No switching row passes our tests: 20 domains dropped mParticle for Segment since March, against 1 the other way, and both numbers are too small to call a trend.
"Outside State Farm, mParticle and Segment hardly ever share a site. Brands pick one, which makes it a real competitive decision." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: an mParticle brand outside State Farm usually hasn't bought Segment too. Competitive displacement means a full migration, so lead with migration cost and support.
The stack outside the agents
On all 18,826 domains, Ensighten (78.59%), Adobe Analytics (81.55%) and Invoca (58.0%) look like mParticle's natural partners. They are State Farm's. On the 3,803 domains outside State Farm, Ensighten falls to 2.55%, Adobe Analytics to 12.67% and Invoca to 5.39%. What stands out instead is consent and experimentation: OneTrust on 27.37%, Transcend on 14.83%, Optimizely on 13.52%, with Braze (5.76%) and Amplitude (5.26%) for messaging and analytics. Some publishers run mParticle beside a publisher DMP, too. Permutive is on 170 of these domains, including Postmedia's Financial Post.
Sales signal: pitch consent, testing and engagement tools against the outside-State-Farm stack. Ensighten and Invoca numbers on the full list are one customer's choices.
What it costs
mParticle doesn't publish prices. Its usage documentation says customers prepay mParticle Credits and draw them down per billing period, with events counted in units of one million across Connect, Preserve and Personalize tiers, and a bigger upfront commitment buys a higher discount tier.
Sales signal: credit-based contracts make renewal a usage negotiation. Brands whose event volume has grown are the ones reviewing their CDP spend.

What is mParticle used for?
mParticle collects customer events from websites and apps and turns them into profiles and audiences for other marketing tools. Its homepage calls it "the performance engine that turns customer data into audiences, actions, and measurable growth" and lists 300+ integrations. On the 3,803 domains outside State Farm, it runs beside OneTrust (27.37%), Optimizely (13.52%) and Braze (5.76%).
Who owns mParticle?
Rokt. The two companies announced a merger on 16 January 2025, with Rokt investing US$300 million in mParticle, and Rokt's CEO told AdExchanger it was taking a 100% stake. The release said Michael Katz would stay on as mParticle's CEO. The SDK now often loads from Rokt's own address, apps.rokt-api.com, and our detection counts that as mParticle.
Is mParticle a CDP?
Yes. mParticle is a customer data platform, and the January 2025 merger release says Rokt will double its investment in the CDP. We list it under Customer Data Platform, where it ranks 5th of the 68 tools we track, with 6.59% of the category. Its usage is billed in prepaid mParticle Credits, according to its documentation.
How much does mParticle cost?
mParticle doesn't publish prices; its site has a "Request pricing" form. Its documentation says usage is metered in prepaid mParticle Credits, with events counted in units of one million across Connect, Preserve and Personalize tiers, at unit prices set in each contract. A bigger upfront credit commitment unlocks a higher discount tier. No self-serve plan is listed.
Why does mParticle load from a Rokt address?
Because Rokt owns mParticle and serves the same SDK from apps.rokt-api.com. We opened ten pages that loaded only Rokt's host, and nine ran mParticle's SDK, five under the site's own key. On some, such as CubeSmart, the only integration switched on was Rokt's, so the SDK may be there to run Rokt's checkout offers rather than the CDP.
Do State Farm agents use mParticle?
Yes, as part of State Farm's own deployment. 15,023 of the 18,826 live mParticle domains we profile are State Farm agent sites, 12,666 of them on the Mirus agent-website platform. On the Mirus sites, every key we could read was State Farm's, served from Rokt's address, so this is one customer, not 15,000 buyers. The same fleet is about half of our Google Cloud Storage count.
Is mParticle the same as Segment?
No. They are competing customer data platforms; Segment is sold as Twilio Segment and mParticle belongs to Rokt. Segment is far bigger on the web, with 78,243 domains against mParticle's 19,070. In our crawl they run together more than they replace each other: 14,933 domains run both today, mostly State Farm agent sites, and only 20 dropped mParticle for Segment since March.
