Our October 2026 crawl finds ApexCharts on 23,328 live domains. We count a site when its pages define the ApexCharts global, so the figure is websites carrying the library, not paying customers, and builds that bundle it without exposing the global are missed. Below is the list of companies that use ApexCharts, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes PwC on its Talent Exchange, Vodafone Idea on its Vi Marketplace login, Decathlon's Spanish affiliate site and Patagonia's European returns portal.

ApexCharts ranks 3rd of the 55 tools we track in Charting & Data Visualization, with 4.79%, behind Chart.js and Highcharts. Many detections are portals, dashboards and log-in pages. Two platforms carry it onto sites whose owners never chose it: Bubble apps (8.8% of live ApexCharts domains) and Placester's estate-agent sites (at least 1,606). And it's no longer simply MIT. Since version 5 in July 2025 it has been dual-licensed, and organisations with $2 million or more in revenue, budget or funding now need a paid licence.

ApexCharts Usage Statistics

ApexCharts reads 11,866 domains in June 2026, 15,378 in July, 20,026 in August, 22,147 in September and 23,328 in October, nearly double in four months. That isn't adoption doubling. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The monthly steps of 3,512, 4,648, 2,121 and 1,181 domains reflect both, and they're shrinking. Since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, 3,105 domains have dropped ApexCharts on at least one hostname, and about 7% of those still run it on another.

List of Companies Using ApexCharts

Who uses ApexCharts? This list of companies using ApexCharts names 50 of the 14,203 matched companies, and many of the websites using ApexCharts on it are apps rather than home pages. Vodafone Idea loads it on the Vi Marketplace login, Anadolu University on its e-campus, A2A on an online-services dashboard and Punjab Group of Colleges on its student portal. We loaded every company named on this page in a browser in October 2026 and confirmed the library on each.

ApexCharts Market Share Among Charting & Data Visualization

What is ApexCharts's market share? 4.79% of Charting & Data Visualization, 3rd of the 55 tools we track there, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. Chart.js dominates with 323,384 domains (66.4%), nearly 14 times ApexCharts' 23,328. The race behind it is close. Highcharts has 25,341 domains, 2,013 more than ApexCharts, and D3 has 20,719, 2,609 fewer, so a monthly refresh could reorder the three.

ApexCharts Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use ApexCharts? Mostly very small ones. 55.77% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, and 80.89% have 50 or fewer. 423 have more than 1,000 staff, and they tend to load it in one app rather than on the main site: PwC on its Talent Exchange, Rheem on its MyRheem portal, Patagonia on its EU returns portal. For firms that size, running version 5 or later means a paid licence, because the free tier stops at $2 million in revenue, budget or funding.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

36.31% of matched companies with a known founding year date from the 2010s and 36.19% from the 2020s, so 72.5% were founded in 2010 or later. That's young for a chart library. Recharts' profile is younger still, at 53.31% from the 2020s, but ECharts' shows 25.9%, Chart.js's 14.92% and D3's 13.07%. The older names here include the University of Kentucky (1865), Rheem (1925) and the Supreme Court of India (1950).

What Industries Use ApexCharts the Most?

Software Development leads at 8.74%, then Real Estate at 6.52% and Financial Services (6.14%), based on our enriched company data. Real estate's high place has one main cause. 557 of the 872 real-estate companies also run MapLibre GL JS, against 6.7% of all ApexCharts domains, and the four such sites we opened were all Placester agent sites that defined the ApexCharts global. Government Administration and Higher Education add 321 companies each.

Financial services companies using ApexCharts include Newrez, whose mortgage site renders two ApexCharts charts, and Crédit Agricole d'Île-de-France on ca-paris.com. Universities using ApexCharts include the University of Kentucky on its myUK portal and Anadolu University on its e-campus login. Government bodies on ApexCharts include Australia's NDIS on its engagement site and the Supreme Court of India on its judicial data grid.

ApexCharts Alternatives & Competitors

Read this table as libraries that share sites, not rivals fighting over them. 4,754 ApexCharts domains also run Chart.js today, and of the 5,299 ever seen with both, 89.7% still run both. Highcharts shares 306 domains, ECharts 284, D3 209 and amCharts 207, and none of these pairs passes our switching tests. Where they now differ most is the licence. Chart.js (MIT), D3 (ISC) and ECharts (Apache 2.0) are free for any company, Highcharts sells commercial licences, and ApexCharts sits in between, free only below $2 million in revenue, budget or funding.

Expert Analysis: ApexCharts Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Elif Arslan
Elif ArslanCMO & Co-founder, TechnologyChecker

ApexCharts is a developer's choice, not a marketer's, and that shapes what a list of its users is good for. Our October 2026 crawl counts a domain when its pages define the ApexCharts global, the object the library puts on the page. That finds 23,328 live domains, 14,203 matched to a company, 3rd of 55 in Charting & Data Visualization. Builds that bundle the library without exposing the global don't count, so read the number as a floor. Read it as sites, not customers, too: most of them have never paid ApexCharts anything.

The licence changed under these sites

For most of its life ApexCharts was MIT-licensed. Juned Chhipa released it as open source in July 2018, per the project's about page. Version 5, in July 2025, brought a dual licence. The current licence file gives a free Community License to organisations under $2 million in annual revenue, budget or funding and requires a paid licence above that. The pricing page starts at $199 per developer a year and lists OEM redistribution at $14,999 per app. Releases up to 4.7.0 stay MIT. Our crawl reads the global, not the version, so I can't tell you how many of the 23,328 sites run a licensed release. Two pages in our wider sample, a Brazilian health insurer's supplier portal and a Pakistani education department's staff portal, load 3.x builds from cdnjs.

Sales signal: the 423 matched companies with more than 1,000 staff are the ones the new terms are aimed at. For a commercial charting vendor, a licence review at those accounts is a natural opening.

Growth, read carefully

The chart reads 11,866 domains in June, 15,378 in July, 20,026 in August, 22,147 in September and 23,328 in October. That's nearly double in four months, and I'd be wary of anyone pitching it as a boom. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones coming in, and our detection signals widen over time. Both push the line up. The monthly step has shrunk from 4,648 in August to 1,181 in October. 3,105 domains have dropped ApexCharts on at least one hostname since 16 March 2026, and about 7% of those still run it on another.

"Nearly double in four months sounds like a boom. Our crawl and our detection both grew over the same months, so I plan around October's 23,328, not the slope." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: size the market at about 23,000 domains and don't forecast from the curve.

Two platforms in the count

Two products put ApexCharts on sites whose owners never picked it. 2,155 of the 24,488 domains in our clean live set are Bubble apps (8.8%), many still titled "Visual Programming | Bubble". Bubble users on its forum say Bubble's own chart element is built on Chart.js, so ApexCharts arrives through third-party chart plugins. The second is Placester, a website builder for estate agents. At least 1,606 ApexCharts domains run MapLibre GL JS, Turf and jQuery Mobile together, and the four we opened were all Placester agent sites. That one platform is why Real Estate is the second-largest industry at 6.52%: 557 of the 872 real-estate companies run MapLibre beside ApexCharts.

Sales signal: anyone selling to developers should filter out Bubble and Placester rows first. Those site owners didn't choose a chart library; their platform did.

Who the companies are

55.77% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, and 72.5% were founded in 2010 or later. The 423 companies above 1,000 staff rarely put it on the home page. PwC uses it on its Talent Exchange, Rheem on MyRheem, Patagonia on its EU returns portal and Decathlon on its Spanish affiliate site. The rest of the list has the same shape: a Vi Marketplace login, a university e-campus, a utility's online-services dashboard.

Sales signal: at a large account, the ApexCharts user is an internal product team running one portal. Pitch them developer tooling, data APIs or a commercial chart licence, not a website redesign.

Where it's used

The base is spread out. The United States has 3,424 matched companies, 24.1% of the 14,203, then India (974), Brazil (957), the United Kingdom (762) and France (475). Turkey (357) and Indonesia (301) both make the top 12, and their names on our list are mostly public bodies and universities: Indonesia's national health insurer BPJS Kesehatan, Turkey's grid operator TEİAŞ, and Anadolu and Sakarya universities. Government Administration and Higher Education hold 321 companies each.

Sales signal: public-sector portals in India, Turkey and Indonesia are a real segment here. Vendors selling dashboard or BI tools to government should look at them before the US list.

Next to the other chart libraries

Sites mix chart libraries freely. 4,754 ApexCharts domains also run Chart.js today, and 89.7% of the 5,299 ever seen with both still have both. Highcharts shares 306 domains, ECharts 284 and D3 209, and none of these pairs passes our switching tests. The licences differ more than the footprints do. Chart.js is MIT, D3 ISC and ECharts Apache 2.0, all free for any company, while Highcharts sells commercial licences.

"Nine in ten sites that have run ApexCharts and Chart.js together still run both. Sites aren't ripping out chart libraries, and the licence change is the first thing that could make them." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: a site on both libraries already has a free fallback. If it's a larger organisation on ApexCharts 5 or later, moving everything to Chart.js is the cheap answer to a licence bill, and that's the conversation a commercial chart vendor wants to get into first.

The stack around it

Across the 24,487 domains in our clean live set, jQuery runs on 83.9%, core-js on 72.24% and Moment.js on 43.19%, with Tailwind CSS on 48.72% and Bootstrap on 46.99%. jQuery UI (40.94%) and Select2 (32.45%) complete a classic admin-template stack. Angular (11.64%) and Express (11.02%) mark the custom apps. WordPress is on 28.1% and Elementor on 16.41%, and plugins carry their own copy of the library there: we found Graphina's bundled ApexCharts on the County of San Mateo's jobs site.

Sales signal: jQuery on 83.9% and Moment.js on 43.19% point to older front ends. Modernisation agencies and front-end tooling vendors will find a lot of legacy dashboards here.

1. 23,328 live domains, 3rd of 55, 2,013 domains behind Highcharts.

2. Sites, not customers. Since version 5, only organisations under $2 million in revenue, budget or funding use it free.

3. Bubble (2,155 domains) and Placester (at least 1,606) put it on sites that never chose it.

4. A young, small and international base: 55.77% with 1 to 10 staff, 72.5% founded since 2010, 24.1% in the US.

5. It runs beside Chart.js far more than it replaces it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses ApexCharts?

Our October 2026 crawl finds ApexCharts on 23,328 live domains, 14,203 of them matched to a company. Most are small, with 55.77% at 10 or fewer staff. Named users include PwC, Vodafone Idea, Decathlon, Patagonia, Rheem and Newrez, usually on a portal or app rather than the main site. Software Development (8.74%), Real Estate (6.52%) and Financial Services (6.14%) lead.

How many customers does ApexCharts have?

ApexCharts doesn't publish a customer count, and most users pay nothing, so we count sites instead. Our October 2026 crawl finds it on 23,328 live domains, a floor because bundled builds that hide the global are missed. npm recorded 9,136,873 downloads of the apexcharts package in the 30 days to 11 October 2026. We can't tell which sites hold a paid licence.

What is ApexCharts's market share?

4.79% of Charting & Data Visualization, 3rd of the 55 tools we track there, on 23,328 domains. Chart.js leads with 323,384 domains (66.4%). Highcharts is 2nd with 25,341, only 2,013 ahead, and D3 is 4th with 20,719, so the order behind Chart.js could change on any monthly refresh. The share counts sites carrying the library, not licence revenue.

What are the best alternatives to ApexCharts?

Chart.js, MIT-licensed and the category leader on 323,384 domains, which 4,754 ApexCharts domains already run. D3 (ISC) and ECharts (Apache 2.0) are also free for any company, and Recharts suits React projects. Highcharts and amCharts are the commercial options. Since ApexCharts 5, organisations with $2 million or more in revenue, budget or funding pay for ApexCharts too.

Which countries use ApexCharts the most?

The United States, with 3,424 matched companies, then India (974), Brazil (957), the United Kingdom (762) and France (475). The US holds 24.1% of the 14,203 matched companies, a lower share than D3's profile shows (34.0%). Turkey (357) and Indonesia (301) rank in the top 12, and on our list their names are mostly universities, state agencies and utilities.

What size companies use ApexCharts?

Mostly very small ones. 55.77% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 25.12% have 11 to 50, so 80.89% have 50 or fewer. 423 companies have more than 1,000 staff, including PwC, Vodafone Idea and Rheem, usually on one portal. Under ApexCharts' current licence, organisations above $2 million in revenue, budget or funding need a paid plan.

How old are companies that use ApexCharts?

Young. Among matched companies with a known founding year, 36.31% were founded in the 2010s and 36.19% in the 2020s, so 72.5% date from 2010 or later. Chart.js's profile shows 14.92% from the 2020s and D3's 13.07%, while Recharts' is younger still at 53.31%. Older names on the list include the University of Kentucky (1865) and Rheem (1925).

What is the ideal customer profile for ApexCharts?

The ideal ApexCharts customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (55.77%), Location: US, then India, Brazil, UK, Founded: 2010 or later (72.5%), Industry: Software, real estate and finance, Site type: Dashboard, portal or log-in page — based on our analysis of 14,203 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

Is ApexCharts free to use?

Free for individuals, non-profits and organisations under $2 million in annual revenue, budget or funding, under its Community License. Larger organisations need a paid licence, and embedding it in a product other people use needs the OEM licence. Releases before version 5, the last being 4.7.0 in April 2025, were MIT-licensed. We checked apexcharts.com and the GitHub licence on 12 October 2026.

Is ApexCharts free for commercial use?

Only for small organisations. Commercial use is free under the Community License if you, your parent company and affiliates are below $2 million in annual revenue, budget or funding. Above that, apexcharts.com lists paid plans from $199 per developer a year, with Pro at $349, Premium at $599 and OEM redistribution at $14,999 per app a year. Checked 12 October 2026.

Are apex charts good?

Judging by use, plenty of teams think so. Our crawl finds ApexCharts on 23,328 live domains, 3rd in its category behind Chart.js and Highcharts, and npm counted more than 9.1 million downloads in the 30 days to 11 October 2026. It turns up most in dashboards and portals. The case against it is now the licence, since larger organisations pay for version 5 onwards.

What is React ApexCharts?

React ApexCharts is the React wrapper for ApexCharts, published on npm as react-apexcharts from a repository in the ApexCharts GitHub organisation. It renders ApexCharts charts as React components on top of the main apexcharts package, and its npm entry points to a licence file rather than MIT. Our detection counts the underlying ApexCharts global, whichever wrapper loads it.

What is an apex chart?

An apex chart is a chart drawn with ApexCharts, a JavaScript library for interactive SVG charts with over a dozen chart types and wrappers for React, Vue and Angular. Juned Chhipa released it as an open-source project in July 2018, per its about page. Our October 2026 crawl finds it on 23,328 live domains, many of them dashboards, portals and log-in pages.

How can you tell if a website uses ApexCharts?

Open the browser console and type window.ApexCharts. If it returns a function, the page has the library, and the charts it draws sit inside elements with the apexcharts-canvas class. That global is the signal behind our 23,328 count, so apps that bundle ApexCharts without exposing it are missed, and our total is a floor rather than a ceiling.

Which is better, ApexCharts or Chart.js?

They overlap more than they compete. 4,754 domains run both today, and 89.7% of the 5,299 sites ever seen with both still have both. Chart.js is MIT-licensed and far larger, on 323,384 domains. ApexCharts is free only below $2 million in revenue, budget or funding. Our switching tests find no meaningful movement from one to the other, so pick on licence and features.
