Our October 2026 crawl finds amCharts on 10,251 live domains, and on most of the company pages we opened it draws a map rather than a chart. Below is the list of companies that use amCharts, with size, country, industry and stack for the 6,870 domains we matched to a company, among them Bupa, Halma, Booking Holdings and the Vodafone Foundation. amCharts is a JavaScript library from a Lithuanian company, with a free version that shows a small link back to amCharts, so each row here is a site running the library, not necessarily a paid licence.

One WordPress plugin carries a large part of the count. At least 4,114 of the 10,177 live domains we checked (40.4%) load amCharts 4.10.29 from the amCharts CDN with a WordPress plugin version tag, the signature of MapGeo, an interactive maps plugin with 30,000+ active installs; MapGeo itself showed up on 72 of 120 WordPress sites we sampled. So most of this base runs amCharts 4, which amCharts stopped supporting at the end of 2023. amCharts ranks 7th of the 55 tools we track in Charting & Data Visualization, with 2.14% of the category.

amCharts Usage Statistics

amCharts reads 7,726 domains in June 2026, 9,049 in July, 9,598 in August, 10,264 in September and 10,251 in October. Most of the June to July step is our side, not new installs: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widened over the same months. Since September the line has been flat. Since we began tracking amCharts in March 2026, 1,489 domains have dropped it, and 136 of those still run it on another hostname.

amCharts Market Share Among Charting & Data Visualization

What is amCharts's market share? 2.14% of Charting & Data Visualization, 7th of the 55 tools we track there, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. Chart.js leads with 323,384 domains (67.38%), followed by Highcharts (25,341), ApexCharts (23,328) and D3 (20,719). amCharts sits behind Bokeh (11,491) and Supersized (11,225) and 4,437 domains ahead of Google Charts (5,814), the next tool down. Because one maps plugin accounts for about two in five amCharts domains, the rank measures WordPress map widgets as much as charting.

amCharts Alternatives & Competitors

On amCharts sites, these libraries usually sit next to it. 712 domains run Chart.js and amCharts today, out of 852 ever seen with both; ApexCharts shares 207 of 258 and D3 132 of 156. That fits how amCharts is used here: a map plugin or one interactive chart beside whatever else the site draws. None of these pairs passes our switching tests. CanvasJS counts 1,947 domains on its own page, after removing copies a WordPress plugin loads for an admin-only chart.

Expert Analysis: amCharts Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Emma Davies
Emma DaviesData Analyst, TechnologyChecker

Most of what our October 2026 crawl finds under amCharts is maps, which surprised me; I'd expected dashboards. A domain counts here when a page loads a script file named for amCharts, or defines the AmCharts global that version 3 and earlier create. That gives 10,251 live domains, 6,870 matched to a company (67.0%), 7th of 55 in Charting & Data Visualization. The free version is fully functional with a small backlink, so this is a count of sites running amCharts, not of licences.

A maps plugin carries two in five

The biggest single source is MapGeo, a WordPress plugin for interactive maps listed on WordPress.org with 30,000+ active installs. It loads amCharts from the amCharts CDN, version 4.10.29 by default, and adds its own version number to the request. At least 4,114 of the 10,177 live domains we checked on 13 October carry that signature, 40.4%. The real figure is likely higher, because our records show which amCharts file a site loads from another server for only about six in ten domains. In a random sample of 120 WordPress sites running amCharts, the plugin's files appeared on 72.

Sales signal: a large slice of this list is small WordPress sites that wanted a clickable map. Pitch them as map users, and treat the plugin's developer as a channel.

Growth

The chart reads 7,726 in June, 9,049 in July, 9,598 in August, 10,264 in September and 10,251 in October. The June to July step is mostly ours: the domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites leaving and newly found ones arriving, and our detection signals widened over the same months. Since September it's flat.

"On most amCharts sites the library draws a map, not a chart, and two times in five a WordPress plugin put it there." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: expect a stable pool of about 10,000 domains. Nothing here supports pitching amCharts as a fast-growing segment.

Running a frozen version

The amCharts version page lists amCharts 5 as current since November 2021, amCharts 4 in feature freeze with support ended at the end of 2023, and amCharts 3 unsupported since 2020. Where we can see the version, on 6,159 domains that load amCharts from another server, 5,140 (83.5%) run amCharts 4, 565 run amCharts 5 and 420 amCharts 3. Large companies lag further: amCharts 3 ran on 10 of the 58 company pages we opened, against 420 of the 6,159 version-visible domains overall. Booking Holdings' corporate site runs 3.21.12, and UBS's KeyInvest site and PZU bundle amCharts 3 into their own scripts.

Sales signal: an unsupported charting library on a corporate or public-sector site is an upgrade or replacement project waiting for a budget. Agencies and rival vendors can open with the version number.

Who the customers are

39.14% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 28% have 11 to 50. The top end is long, with 358 companies above 1,000 staff, and the ones we opened use amCharts on one property: Newmont on its sustainability site, El Sewedy Electric on its careers site, the Vodafone Foundation on its own pages. 29.99% were founded before 2000, including PZU (1803), UBS (1862) and Bupa (1947).

Sales signal: at large accounts the owner is a communications, sustainability or investor-relations team with one site to maintain. Start there, not with IT.

Horizontal, and European

Financial Services leads with only 4.44%, with IT Services (4.13%), Non-profit Organizations (4.02%) and Business Consulting (3.46%) close behind; the top ten add up to 29.11%. The United States has 1,391 matched companies, India 573, Brazil 338 and France 337, but the eight European countries in the top 15 add up to 1,657. Turkey (205) and Iran (150) both rank in the top 11.

Sales signal: this list doesn't segment by industry. Segment by country instead; France, Germany, Spain and Italy together hold 1,034 matched companies.

Used alongside other libraries

We publish no switching table for amCharts, because the overlaps don't pass our tests. 712 domains run Chart.js and amCharts today, out of 852 ever seen with both; ApexCharts shares 207 of 258 and D3 132 of 156. A site adds a map or one interactive chart and keeps whatever else it draws with. Since March 2026, 1,489 domains have dropped amCharts. When I checked on 13 October, 136 still ran it on another hostname, and 933 of the 1,353 that had left it entirely had a company record.

"Sites run amCharts and Chart.js side by side. One draws the map, the other the bar chart." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: the 933 companies that dropped amCharts entirely are worth a look for map or chart replacements, but don't read them as Chart.js wins.

The stack around it

Across the 10,173 live domains left after removing for-sale and gambling pages, WordPress runs on 75.63% and Elementor on 43.28%. jQuery is on 95.97%, jQuery UI on 56.15% and Swiper on 40.58%. Google Maps also runs on 10.16% of amCharts domains and Leaflet on 3.07%. Hosting is mass-market: GoDaddy 13.24%, Hostinger 8.79%, WP Engine 3.36%.

Sales signal: this is a WordPress and Elementor audience. Plugin and theme vendors fit it better than enterprise analytics sellers do.

What it costs

The amCharts homepage says the libraries are free, even commercially, with a small backlink. On 13 October 2026 the amCharts store listed a Basic licence for amCharts 5: Charts at $80 per developer seat a year or $180 perpetual, a single app or SaaS licence at $280 a year or $650, and OEM at $1,200 or $2,700. MapGeo's page says its users need no amCharts account or licence.

Sales signal: because most installs can run free, an amCharts detection says little about spend. A version 5 install on a corporate site says more.

Key takeaways

1. 10,251 live domains, 7th of 55, with 6,870 matched to a company.

2. At least 40.4% of domains get amCharts through MapGeo, a WordPress maps plugin.

3. 83.5% of version-visible domains run amCharts 4, unsupported since the end of 2023.

4. A horizontal, Europe-heavy base: 1,657 European companies to 1,391 American.

5. Chart.js, ApexCharts and D3 run beside it, and no overlap passes our switching tests.

How to use this list

Split the plugin sites from the rest, then filter by version and country. For the full list of 10,251 amCharts domains with company, size and stack data, explore TechnologyChecker.io. Our guide to technology detection methods explains why a library bundled into a site's own scripts shows up differently from one loaded from a CDN.

How does TechnologyChecker.io detect amCharts?

We count a domain when a page loads a script file whose address contains amcharts, or defines the AmCharts global that amCharts 3 and earlier create. amCharts 4 and 5 use different globals, so newer installs count through the script file. Copies bundled into a site's own scripts, as on UBS's KeyInvest site, count only through the global.
