Companies Using Google Charts
Google Charts is Google's free JavaScript charting library, and our October 2026 crawl finds it on 5,814 sites. Most of them never chose it. Blogger runs on 61.58% of the Google Charts domains in our stack analysis (3,592 of 5,833), and on those blogs the built-in pageview counter loads Google's chart loader to draw a small sparkline. The rest picked it themselves or got it with a plugin: White & Case's M&A Explorer, the World Trade Organization's regional trade agreements database and comScore's website all render Google Charts. Below is the list of companies that use Google Charts, with company size, country and industry.
Google Charts ranks #9 of 55 in Charting & Data Visualization with a 1.19% share; Chart.js, the category leader, is on 323,384 domains, about 56 times as many. Google's terms don't let sites download and host the code (Google's FAQ), so every page loads it from Google. We matched 1,656 of the sites to a company, and only 338 of those are Blogger blogs, so the company charts below mostly describe organisations that chose Google Charts.

Google Charts Usage Statistics
Our current crawl window shows 3,051 sites running Google Charts in June 2026, 3,492 in July and 3,611 in August, then 5,722 in September and 5,814 in October 2026. The jump is not adoption. Counts are not a like-for-like series: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. 2,397 of today's Google Charts sites were first seen in August 2026, and 2,161 of those are Blogger blogs, so blogs entered our crawl rather than companies taking up a charting library. Exits are countable too: 672 domains dropped Google Charts since we began tracking it in March 2026, though about a quarter of them (176 of 679 when we re-checked) still run it on another hostname.

Which Countries Use Google Charts the Most?
Which countries use Google Charts the most? Among the 1,656 sites we matched to a company, the United States leads with 329, about twice India (156), with Brazil (114) third. The United Kingdom (66), Italy (59), Germany (51), Spain (48), France (47) and Turkey (45) follow in a tight group. Turkey's 45 include eight universities from our top-50 list, all detected on AVESIS, the academic data portal several Turkish universities run. Google Charts has no sales team steering it toward English-speaking markets, and Indonesia (39) placing ahead of Canada (35) fits that.
Share of the 1,656 Google Charts domains we matched to a company record — 28.5% of the 5,814 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Google Charts Market Share Among Charting & Data Visualization
What is Google Charts' market share? Google Charts holds 1.19% of the Charting & Data Visualization category and ranks #9 of 55, based on our monthly crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. The category is lopsided. Chart.js alone takes 66.4% on 323,384 domains, and Highcharts (5.2%), ApexCharts.js (4.79%), D3 (4.25%) and amCharts (2.1%) all sit above Google Charts. Six in ten Google Charts sites are Blogger blogs drawing a pageview sparkline, so read the 1.19% as reach, not as the number of teams that evaluated charting libraries and picked Google's.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Google Charts Customers by Company Size & Age
Is Google Charts only for small businesses? Mostly, yes. 54.2% of matched companies with a known size have 1-10 employees and 78.08% have 50 or fewer. Only 75 companies employ more than 1,000 people (51 at 1,001-5,000, 10 at 5,001-10,000 and 14 above 10,000). The large ones use it on one data property rather than across the estate: White & Case on its M&A Explorer, Coor Group on its annual report site and Giesecke & Devrient on its IoT shop. Just 338 of the 1,656 matched companies are Blogger blogs, so these bars mostly describe organisations that chose the library.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
Half of the matched companies with a known founding year date from 2010 or later: 38.7% were founded in the 2010s and 11.61% in the 2020s, a combined 50.31%. The 2000s add 20.67%. The older end is not empty. 51 companies (5.19%) were founded before 1960, among them Giesecke & Devrient (1852), which runs Google Charts on its IoT shop, and FAES Farma (1933), which runs it on its main site.
What Industries Use Google Charts the Most?
Financial Services leads at 6.19% (91 companies), followed by Non-profit Organizations (3.27%) and Business Consulting and Services (2.79%). Add Investment Management (2.04%) and the money-related share reaches 8.23%. Oil and Gas (2.24%) edges out Software Development (2.18%), which says these are organisations publishing numbers, not software teams building products. No industry reaches 7%, and the ten charted here cover only 28.16% of matched companies, based on our enriched company data.
Financial services companies using Google Charts form the largest vertical at 91 matched companies, and investment management firms on Google Charts add 30 more. Non-profits using Google Charts number 48, including the humanitarian group Intersos, whose homepage renders a Google chart. Universities using Google Charts (34 in Higher Education) include Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and the Turkish universities on AVESIS portals, and logistics companies using Google Charts include SEKO, based on our enriched company data.
Google Charts Alternatives & Competitors
Google Charts competes in a category where one free library takes two thirds of the domains we detect. Chart.js (66.4%, 323,384 domains) is open source under the MIT licence, so sites can bundle it into their own code. Highcharts (5.2%), ApexCharts.js (4.79%) and D3 (4.25%) follow, with amCharts (2.1%) fifth. Few sites mix them with Google Charts: 132 domains run it alongside Chart.js today, 44 alongside D3 and 41 alongside Highcharts. For a team that needs its charts inside an intranet or an offline app, the difference that matters is hosting: Google's terms don't allow a self-hosted copy of Google Charts.
Google Charts Customer Migration
Tech Stack of Google Charts-Powered Websites
The stack around Google Charts is mostly the stack of a Blogger blog. Across the 5,833 live domains in our stack analysis (not the 5,814 headline), Blogger runs on 61.58% and Google AdSense on 58.84%, which is why the categories below look thin. jQuery reaches 54.76% and Bootstrap 17.86%, while WordPress shows up on only 21.14% and Tailwind CSS on 4.92%. Google Analytics is on 43.63% and Google Maps on 15.19%. The WordPress slice matters more than its size suggests: in 9 of the 11 WordPress sites we opened, a plugin loaded Google Charts, most often an interactive world-map plugin, rather than the site's own code.

Expert Analysis: Google Charts Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I expected Google Charts to look like a developer tool in our data. It looks like a blogging feature. Our October 2026 crawl finds Google's charting library on 5,814 sites, and when I opened the biggest cluster in a browser, the charts were pageview sparklines that Blogger draws for its users. We matched 1,656 of the sites to a company. A sales team should prospect only the part someone chose, so I split the footprint into what Blogger supplies and what is left.
Six in ten are Blogger blogs
Of the 5,833 live domains in our stack analysis, 3,592 (61.58%) run Blogger. 3,491 run OpenGSE, the Google front-end server Blogger pages come from, and 3,432 run Google AdSense, which Blogger offers to bloggers who want to earn from ads. 2,059 of the Blogger sites use a blogspot address and 1,533 a custom domain. I opened five. On four, the sidebar carried Blogger's Stats gadget, its pageview counter, whose markup includes a script tag for www.gstatic.com/charts/loader.js and a 75-pixel sparkline beside the counter. The fifth ran a Dynamic Views template that requests the same loader from Blogger's template script. None of those five bloggers evaluated a charting library. They switched on a hit counter.
Sales Signal: strip Blogger out of any Google Charts list before you use it. What remains, about 2,200 sites, is where someone made a charting decision.
The other four in ten
About 1,200 of the non-Blogger sites run WordPress and about 1,000 run neither platform. The WordPress part is mostly not hand-written either. In at least 9 of the 11 WordPress sites I loaded, a plugin requested the loader: six times the same interactive world-map plugin, and once each another map builder, wpDataTables and a research-cohort charting plugin. The 11 sites without WordPress or Blogger were different. Ten of them called Google Charts from their own pages or scripts, among them the Linux Mint community site, Creditflux's CLO-i analytics service, a solar-monitoring portal and carbonintensity.org.uk.
Sales Signal: reach the WordPress slice through the plugin makers. The hand-coded slice belongs to the teams maintaining dashboards and data portals, and they are the group most likely to change libraries on their own.
Growth trajectory
Our current window shows 3,051 sites in June 2026, 3,492 in July and 3,611 in August, then 5,722 in September and 5,814 in October. That jump isn't adoption. Counts are not a like-for-like series: the domains we crawl turn over every month, dead sites out and new ones in, and our detection signals widen over time. 2,397 of today's sites were first seen in August 2026, and 2,161 of those are Blogger blogs. So blogs entered our crawl, rather than bloggers starting to chart anything. Exits are measurable as well: 672 domains dropped Google Charts since our tracking began in March 2026, and 176 of the 679 we re-checked still ran it on another hostname.
"The biggest group of Google Charts sites in our data is bloggers with a pageview counter. That tells you about Blogger, not about demand for Google's charting library." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: don't build a growth pitch on the September step. Treat the non-Blogger base as an installed base of a couple of thousand sites.
Who chose it
Only 338 of the 1,656 matched companies are Blogger blogs, so the company data mostly describes deliberate users, and they are small: 54.2% have 1-10 employees and 78.08% have 50 or fewer. The larger names use Google Charts on one data-heavy property. White & Case runs its M&A Explorer on it, the World Trade Organization its regional trade agreements database and Coor Group its annual and sustainability report; comScore, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and Magellan Aerospace load it on their main sites. Eight of the 50 organisations in our list are Turkish universities detected on AVESIS, an academic data system, and Medipol's AVESIS portal renders Google Charts when you open it.
Sales Signal: prospect the property, not the company. A law firm's deal tracker or an annual-report microsite is a small, owned dashboard with a developer behind it, and that developer is the buyer for charting or embedded-analytics work.
Industry and geography
Financial Services leads at 6.19% of matched companies and Non-profit Organizations follow at 3.27%; no industry reaches 7%. Oil and Gas (2.24%) edges out Software Development (2.18%), so the users are organisations publishing numbers more than software teams building products. The United States leads the country count with 329 matched companies, roughly twice India (156), then Brazil (114), the United Kingdom (66) and Italy (59). A free library with no sales team spreads wherever someone needs a chart, which is how Turkey (45) and Indonesia (39) reach the top 11.
Sales Signal: start with finance, energy and public-sector data pages in the US, India and Brazil. There, charts are part of what the organisation publishes.
Overlap with other charting libraries
Our switching table is empty for Google Charts because no corridor passed our tests, so I'll describe overlap instead. Today 132 domains run Google Charts alongside Chart.js, 44 alongside D3, 41 alongside Highcharts and 8 alongside ECharts. Against 5,814 sites those are small numbers. Two libraries on one site can mean charts built at different times; it isn't evidence of a move in either direction.
"There is no switching story here yet. The overlap with Chart.js is 132 domains, and most Google Charts sites are blogs whose owners picked a pageview gadget, not a library." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: a rival library should pitch the roughly 2,200 non-Blogger sites, and lead with control. Google's terms rule out a self-hosted copy, which matters to any team with intranet or offline requirements.
The stack around it
Because of Blogger, the Google Charts stack reads like a Google product list: Google AdSense on 58.84% of the 5,833 live domains, Google Analytics on 43.63%, Google Maps on 15.19%. WordPress reaches only 21.14% and Elementor 5.86%, while jQuery sits at 54.76% and Bootstrap at 17.86%. Tailwind CSS is on 4.92%, so modern component-based builds are a small minority here.
Sales Signal: the non-Blogger sites are jQuery-era builds. A rebuild or a new dashboard is an easier conversation with them than a straight library swap.
Key takeaways
- 5,814 sites in October 2026, #9 of 55 in charting with a 1.19% share.
- 61.58% are Blogger blogs that load Google Charts through the built-in pageview gadget.
- About 2,200 sites remain outside Blogger; on WordPress most get it from a map or table plugin.
- Deliberate users are small organisations and single data properties of larger ones: deal trackers, trade databases, annual reports.
- No measurable switching. The overlap with Chart.js is 132 domains.
Sales applications
Targeting: filter Google Charts on TechnologyChecker.io, exclude Blogger, then keep Financial Services, Investment Management and Non-profit Organizations. That leaves organisations publishing their own data.
Outreach: "Your [deal tracker / annual report] draws its charts with Google Charts, loaded from Google's servers. If you ever need those charts on an intranet or offline, Google's terms don't allow a hosted copy, and that's the problem we solve."
Competitive angle: the 132 sites already running Chart.js next to Google Charts maintain two charting codebases, which makes a consolidation pitch concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Google Charts?
Mostly bloggers. Of the 5,833 live Google Charts domains in our stack analysis, 3,592 (61.58%) are Blogger blogs, where the built-in pageview counter loads Google's chart loader. The rest chose it or got it with a plugin. Organisations we verified in a browser include White & Case, the World Trade Organization, comScore, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, Coor Group and Magellan Aerospace, usually on one property.
How many customers does Google Charts have?
Google Charts is free, so it has users rather than customers. Our October 2026 crawl finds it on 5,814 sites. Six in ten are Blogger blogs that load it for a pageview sparkline, so far fewer organisations picked it on purpose. We matched 1,656 of the sites to a company record, and 338 of those are Blogger blogs. 672 domains dropped it since March 2026.
What is Google Charts's market share?
Google Charts holds 1.19% of the Charting & Data Visualization category on TechnologyChecker.io and ranks #9 of 55. That is a share of domains running a charting library, not of spending. Chart.js leads with 66.4% on 323,384 domains. Because most Google Charts sites are Blogger blogs drawing one sparkline, read the 1.19% as reach rather than as considered adoption.
What are the best alternatives to Google Charts?
By footprint, the main alternatives are Chart.js (66.4% of the category), Highcharts (5.2%), ApexCharts.js (4.79%), D3 (4.25%) and amCharts (2.1%). Chart.js is open source under the MIT licence, so you can bundle and host it yourself; D3 suits fully custom visualisations. Few sites combine them with Google Charts: 132 domains run it alongside Chart.js today and 44 alongside D3.
Which countries use Google Charts the most?
The United States leads with 329 of the 1,656 sites we matched to a company, followed by India (156), Brazil (114), the United Kingdom (66) and Italy (59). Turkey (45) ranks ninth, and eight Turkish universities in our top-50 list are detected on their AVESIS academic portals. Blogger blogs mostly don't match to a company, so these counts lean toward organisations.
What size companies use Google Charts?
Small ones, mostly. 54.2% of matched companies with a known size have 1-10 employees and 78.08% have 50 or fewer, based on our analysis of 1,656 enriched companies. Only 75 have more than 1,000 staff. Large users tend to run it on one property, such as White & Case's M&A Explorer, Coor Group's annual report site and the WTO's trade agreements database.
How old are companies that use Google Charts?
Among the Google Charts domains we could match to a company with a known founding date, the largest group was founded in the 2010s (38.7%), followed by the 2000s (20.67%). That matched subset is drawn from 1,656 companies and is not representative of all 5,814 detected domains. This suggests Google Charts is most popular among relatively young companies.
What is the ideal customer profile for Google Charts?
The ideal Google Charts customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (54.2%), Location: US, India or Brazil, Founded: 2010 or later (50.31%), Industry: Financial services, non-profits, Typical site: Blogger blog (61.58%) — based on our analysis of 1,656 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.
Is Google Charts free to use?
Yes. Google describes its chart tools as free, and its FAQ says the Visualization API is available for commercial use. The condition is hosting: Google's terms don't allow you to download and host the code, so pages load it from www.gstatic.com/charts/loader.js. That same arrangement lets Blogger switch it on inside a gadget without bloggers installing anything.
What are the limitations of Google Charts?
The main one is control of the code. Google's FAQ says its terms don't allow you to download, save or host the chart code, including on an intranet, so every page depends on loading it from Google. If you need charts inside a locked-down network or bundled into your own build, an open-source library such as Chart.js or D3 is the usual alternative.
What is Google Charts used for?
Drawing interactive charts in web pages with JavaScript. In our crawl the largest single use is small: Blogger's pageview counter draws a sparkline with it on 3,592 blogs. Deliberate uses include the WTO's regional trade agreements database, White & Case's M&A Explorer, Coor Group's annual report and Turkish university research portals on AVESIS.
Why do so many Blogger blogs use Google Charts?
Because Blogger puts it there. Blogger's Stats gadget, which shows a pageview counter, includes a script tag for Google's chart loader and a small sparkline beside the count. On four of the five Blogger blogs we opened, that gadget loaded it; the fifth used a Dynamic Views template that loads it from Blogger's own script. The blogger picked a pageview gadget and got the library with it.
Is Google Charts better than Chart.js?
They suit different needs. Google Charts is free but must load from Google's servers; Chart.js is open source under the MIT licence and can be bundled into your own code. On reach Chart.js is far ahead, with 323,384 domains against 5,814 for Google Charts in our October 2026 crawl. Only 132 domains run both today, so most sites settle on one library.
How do I use Google Charts?
Load the loader script from www.gstatic.com/charts/loader.js, call google.charts.load with the package you need, such as corechart, then draw your chart into a div from a callback set with google.charts.setOnLoadCallback, as Google's quick start shows. Google's terms require loading it from Google rather than hosting a copy. Blogger's Stats gadget includes that same loader file, which is how 3,592 blogs in our crawl carry it.
How does TechnologyChecker.io detect Google Charts?
We count a site when its page sets the JavaScript globals the Google Charts library creates once a chart renders. A page that only references the loader without drawing a chart may not be counted. Blogger blogs qualify because their pageview gadget draws a real sparkline. On that rule we detected Google Charts on 5,814 sites in October 2026.
