Our October 2026 crawl finds Sign in with Apple on 10,499 live domains. A domain counts when the page we load carries Apple's sign-in script, its AppleID object, a link to Apple's authorisation page or a "Sign in with Apple" or "Continue with Apple" button. Apple includes the feature with its developer membership rather than selling it, so read the number as sites that offer the button. Below is the list of companies that use Sign in with Apple, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes Uber's driver portal, Indeed, Revolut, Wix, Real Madrid and Panasonic's European customer site.

Most of these sites pair it with Google's button. Google Sign-in runs on 65.3% of them, and 7,105 domains offer both today. Sign in with Apple ranks 8th of 54 technologies in Identity & Access (SSO/CIAM) with a 1.06% share, on about a twentieth of Google Sign-in's 213,670 domains. The companies behind it are small and young, though less tilted to micro-businesses than Google's: 48.75% have 1 to 10 staff and 31.55% were founded in the 2020s.

Sign in with Apple Usage Statistics

Sign in with Apple reads 5,826 domains in June 2026, 7,114 in July, 8,559 in August, 10,115 in September and 10,499 in October, up 80.2% in four months. Read that as a trend, not a like-for-like series: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection keeps reaching more pages and hostnames. August shows the second cause: 660 store subdomains of sahibinden.com, the Turkish classifieds site, were first detected that month. The climb slowed to 384 domains between September and October. Since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, 2,080 domains have dropped it; 142 of them still show it on another hostname, and about half of the rest were seen with it only once.

List of Companies Using Sign in with Apple

Who uses Sign in with Apple? This list of companies that use Sign in with Apple names 50 of the 4,464 matched companies. Each offered the button, or loaded Apple's sign-in script, on the page we crawled in October 2026. Many detections sit on a login hostname rather than a home page: auth.ted.com, signin.realmadrid.com, my.scouting.org, passport.amazon.jobs. We took two social casino sites off the list. Platforms that hand out subdomains inflate the domain count: 692 of the 10,438 cleaned domains are store pages on sahibinden.com and 144 are podcasts on podbean.com, each counted once per subdomain.

Sign in with Apple Market Share Among Identity & Access (SSO/CIAM)

What is Sign in with Apple's market share? 1.06% of Identity & Access (SSO/CIAM), 8th of the 54 technologies we track there, on 10,499 domains, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. Google Sign-in holds 21.53% on 213,670 domains, counted after its own page removed for-sale and gambling landers, so Google's button is on about 20 times as many sites. LinkedIn Sign-in (22,412) is about twice Apple's size, while Auth0 (6,095) and Microsoft's MSAL (3,055) are smaller. Our crawl reads websites, so sign-ins inside iPhone apps, where Apple's App Store rules apply, aren't in this share.

Expert Analysis: Sign in with Apple Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Elif Arslan
Elif ArslanCMO & Co-founder, TechnologyChecker

I expected Sign in with Apple to look like a smaller copy of Google's button. In our October 2026 crawl it looks more specific than that: a second login option on account pages. A domain counts here when the page we load carries Apple's sign-in script (appleid.auth.js), its AppleID object, a link to Apple's authorisation page, the appleid-signin-client-id meta tag, or a button that reads "Sign in with Apple", "Sign up with Apple", "Log in with Apple" or "Continue with Apple". I checked 60 random live domains in a browser, and 43 of the 49 pages that loaded past a bot wall showed one of those markers. That gives 10,499 live domains, 4,464 of them matched to a company, 8th of 54 in Identity & Access (SSO/CIAM).

Where the button sits

Many detections aren't home pages. Uber's is drivers.uber.com, Indeed's is profile.indeed.com, Revolut's is app.revolut.com, and TED and Real Madrid use auth.ted.com and signin.realmadrid.com. That changes how you count, because a platform that hands out subdomains shows up once per subdomain. 692 of the 10,438 cleaned domains are store subdomains of sahibinden.com, the Turkish classifieds site, and 144 are podcast pages on podbean.com. On both, the button comes with the platform's own login page, not from the store owner or the podcaster.

Sales signal: roll the list up to root domains before you count accounts. Those 836 rows collapse into two platforms.

Growth since June

The chart reads 5,826 domains in June 2026, 7,114 in July, 8,559 in August, 10,115 in September and 10,499 in October. That's an 80.2% rise in four months, and I wouldn't read it as adoption. The domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection keeps reaching more hostnames. August shows it: 660 of the sahibinden.com subdomains were first detected that month. Of the 10,746 domains live in our records, 4,226 were first seen in August or later.

Exits are small. 2,080 domains dropped it since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026. When I checked, 142 of them still showed it on another hostname, and about half of the rest had been seen with it only once, so I wouldn't call that number churn.

"Sites add Apple's button next to Google's, and they keep both. Four in five of the domains we've ever seen with the two buttons still run both." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: the pool is about 10,500 domains and grew by only 384 between September and October. Size the market on today's count, not on the June-to-October slope.

Who offers it

48.75% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 27.05% have 11 to 50. That's small, but less so than Google Sign-in, whose profile puts 64.47% in the smallest band. Age points the same way: 41.59% were founded in the 2010s and 31.55% in the 2020s, so 73.14% date from 2010 or later. There are 172 companies above 1,000 staff, and the named ones use it where customers log in. Uber has it for drivers, Indeed for job seekers, Amazon on its jobs site, Panasonic on its European customer portal and Wix on its account login. Older brands appear too: Shiseido (founded 1872), Real Madrid (1902) and Mahindra & Mahindra (1945).

Sales signal: at a large company, the owner of this button is whoever runs the login for one product. Find that team before you call the corporate web team.

Where the sites are, and what they do

The United States has 1,431 matched companies, the United Kingdom 282, India 228, Canada 167 and Germany 138. Poland is sixth with 117, ahead of France (114) and Spain (102). The US, UK, Canada and Australia (95) hold 1,975 of the 4,464 matched companies, 44.2%. South Korea shows only 62, but Naver Analytics, a Korean tool, runs on 3.24% of all Sign in with Apple domains, so I suspect Korean sites are under-matched to company records rather than rare.

By industry, Technology, Information and Internet leads at 10.72%, then Software Development (8.68%) and Restaurants (5.54%). With IT Services and IT Consulting (3.91%), software and internet businesses make up 23.31%. Restaurants and Food and Beverage Services (2.06%) add up to 7.60%, and the restaurant sites are often ordering pages, like Caribou Coffee's and Hungry Jack's, where a returning customer would rather not fill in a form. Financial Services is 4.72%, with Revolut, Qonto and Bitget on the list.

Sales signal: restaurant ordering and fintech logins are the two verticals where the button points to a consumer account base. Those are the lists to hand to loyalty, fraud and identity vendors.

Apple next to Google

Google Sign-in runs on 65.3% of Apple's domains, and 7,105 domains offer both buttons today. Of the 8,911 domains we've ever seen with both, 79.7% still run both, so the pair fails our switching tests: sites add buttons rather than trade them. LinkedIn Sign-in overlaps far less, with 49 domains running both today out of 150 ever seen with both. Google's button is on 213,670 domains, about 20 times Apple's 10,499, counted after its own page removed for-sale and gambling landers.

"I read Apple's button as the one a team adds second. When it's there, someone decided returning customers were worth a faster login." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: a site with both buttons already manages several login providers and may want them in one place. Auth0, whose Apple connection adds Sign in with Apple to an app or website, is on 6,095 domains in this category, yet only 9 run it beside a detectable Apple button today.

The stack around it

Google Analytics runs on 68.18% of live Sign in with Apple domains. Next.js is on 16.96% and WordPress on only 11.82%, Firebase on 9.94%, Vercel on 5.82%, and CleverTap, a mobile engagement platform, on 5.39%. That reads as product teams shipping web apps. Shops are rare: WooCommerce is on 1.83% and Shopify on 1.53%. Adobe Experience Manager, on 5.37%, marks the enterprise end, and Amazon Web Services hosts 19.86%.

Sales signal: pitch developer tools, mobile analytics and customer identity here, not themes or store plugins. A Next.js and Firebase team that already wired up Apple's sign-in is a technical buyer.

What Apple asks of developers

Apple set App Store rules for Sign in with Apple on 12 September 2019: new apps had to follow them straight away, and existing apps and updates by April 2020 (Apple developer news). In January 2024 it rewrote guideline 4.8 so it no longer names its own button, as 9to5Mac reported. The current App Store Review Guidelines say apps that use a third-party or social login, Google Sign-In among them, must also offer an equivalent login that limits data to name and email, lets users keep their email private and doesn't collect interactions for advertising without consent. Websites aren't bound by it. Apple lists Sign in with Apple among the capabilities included in the Apple Developer Program, which costs 99 USD per membership year (checked 12 October 2026).

Sales signal: the web count misses the iPhone side, where guideline 4.8 applies. Check a prospect's App Store listing before you pitch anything app-side.

What happens if you Sign in with Apple?

The site creates an account tied to your Apple Account. Apple's support page says apps and websites can ask only for your name and email at your first sign-in, and you can share a random relay address through Hide My Email instead of your real one. Two-factor authentication protects it, with Face ID or Touch ID on Apple devices. Checked 12 October 2026.

Is Sign in with Apple required?

Not by name. Apple's App Store guideline 4.8 says apps that use a third-party or social login, such as Google Sign-In, must also offer an equivalent login that limits data to name and email, lets users keep their email private and doesn't collect interactions for advertising without consent. Until January 2024 it named Sign in with Apple. Websites aren't covered. Checked 12 October 2026.

How much does Sign in with Apple cost?

Apple lists Sign in with Apple among the capabilities included in its Apple Developer Program, and the enrolment page prices the program at 99 USD per membership year, with prices varying by region. Firebase's guide to adding Apple sign-in also starts with joining that program, and Firebase runs on 9.94% of Sign in with Apple domains in our crawl. Checked 12 October 2026.

Is it better to Sign in with Apple or email?

For privacy, Apple's option shares less. Per Apple's support page, a site gets only your name and an email, which can be a random Hide My Email relay address, and Apple says it won't track or profile you as you use apps and websites. The trade-off is that the account depends on your Apple Account. Most sites still offer Google too: 65.3% of Apple's domains do.

Do sites that offer Sign in with Apple also offer Google sign-in?

Usually. Google Sign-in runs on 65.3% of the domains offering Apple's button in our October 2026 crawl, and 7,105 domains offer both. Of the 8,911 domains we've ever seen with both, 79.7% still run both, so sites add one button beside the other rather than swapping. Google's button reaches far more sites: 213,670 domains to Apple's 10,499.

Does Sign in with Apple work on websites?

Yes. Apple's support page says it works in any browser as well as on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, visionOS, tvOS and watchOS, and Apple publishes Sign in with Apple JS for the web. That script is one of the markers we detect. Our October 2026 crawl finds the feature on 10,499 live websites; sign-ins inside iPhone apps aren't something our crawl can see.

When did Sign in with Apple launch?

Apple introduced it in June 2019, as 9to5Mac recorded. On 12 September 2019 Apple's developer news set App Store rules for it: new apps had to comply straight away, existing apps and updates by April 2020. In January 2024 Apple rewrote guideline 4.8 to ask for an equivalent private login rather than naming its own button. Our crawl sees it on 10,499 domains today.
