Companies Using Bunny Fonts
Our October 2026 crawl finds Bunny Fonts on 147,470 domains, after we took out 25,957 maintenance, under-construction and coming-soon pages whose WordPress plugins load it. A domain counts when a page links a stylesheet or a connection hint from fonts.bunny.net. Bunny Fonts is free and has no accounts, so this is a count of websites, and much of it was put there by the tools the sites are built with: HighLevel's site builder is behind 17.26% of them. Below is the list of companies that use Bunny Fonts, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes Safaricom, Virginia Tech, Canva's merch shop, Ollie's Bargain Outlet and South Lanarkshire Council.
bunny.net launched the service in June 2022 as a privacy-first, drop-in replacement for Google Fonts, run by an EU company that keeps no logs. It ranks 7th in our Font Services category with 0.72% of it, about one domain for every 79 that load Google's font API. Its users lean European: about six American companies for every German one, where the Google Font API profile shows eight and a half.

Bunny Fonts Usage Statistics
How many websites use Bunny Fonts? 147,470 domains in October 2026, and the chart has that one point. October is the first month we counted Bunny Fonts without placeholder pages, so earlier totals aren't comparable and we don't chart them. Later points will move for more than adoption: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection widens over time. Since we began tracking Bunny Fonts on 16 March 2026, 61,562 domains have dropped it from at least one hostname; in a re-check, 5,258 of 61,564 such domains still loaded it on another hostname.

Which Countries Use Bunny Fonts the Most?
Which countries use Bunny Fonts the most? The United States, with 24,345 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (6,553), Germany (4,189), France (3,471), the Netherlands (3,469) and Australia (3,201). That's about six American companies for every German one; the Google Font API profile shows about eight and a half. Add up the nine European countries in our top 15 and they come to 25,856, more than the United States. These counts cover the 81,765 domains we matched to a company.
Share of the 81,765 Bunny Fonts domains we matched to a company record — 55.4% of the 147,470 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Bunny Fonts Market Share Among Font Services
What is Bunny Fonts's market share? 0.72% of Font Services, 7th in the category, on 147,470 domains in our October 2026 crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. The table isn't like-for-like. It mixes text-font services with icon sets: Font Awesome (6,093,539 domains, 29.68%) is the second row, and Ionicons, another icon set, is 6th, just above Bunny Fonts. Among text-font services, Google Font API leads with 11,623,583 domains (56.62%), about 79 for every Bunny Fonts domain, and Adobe Fonts has 1,269,015 (6.18%). Bunny Fonts sits well above MyFonts, a paid store, at 23,225.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Bunny Fonts Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Bunny Fonts? Small ones. 68.49% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 21.67% have 11 to 50, so 90.16% have 50 staff or fewer. The Google Font API profile shows 66.07% at the smallest band. There are 604 companies above 1,000 staff, and the named ones often run Bunny Fonts on a single property, such as Canva's merch shop, Notre Dame's alumni site or Crunch Fitness's privacy page.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
How old are companies that use Bunny Fonts? The largest group was founded in the 2010s (39.85%), and 26.83% were founded in the 2020s, against 20.43% on the Google Font API profile. Only 2.9% predate 1960. A service that launched in 2022 and arrives mostly through site builders and starter templates should skew young, and this one does.
What Industries Use Bunny Fonts the Most?
Advertising Services leads at 4%, LinkedIn's label for agencies, then Construction (3.79%), IT Services and IT Consulting (3.75%), Business Consulting and Services (3.66%) and Retail (3.64%), based on our enriched company data. No other industry reaches 3.8%. Agencies at the top fit the way Bunny Fonts spreads: HighLevel pitches its builder to agencies on its own homepage, which loads Bunny Fonts too.
Universities using Bunny Fonts include Virginia Tech on its professional-development site, the University of Notre Dame and Chicago Booth on their alumni networks, and Addis Ababa University on its admissions portal. Government sites on Bunny Fonts include South Lanarkshire Council, Hillingdon Council and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Retailers using Bunny Fonts include Ollie's Bargain Outlet, Canva's merch shop and Landry's online store.
Bunny Fonts Alternatives & Competitors
A drop-in replacement for Google Fonts ought to remove it, and on many Bunny Fonts sites it hasn't. 58,847 Bunny Fonts domains also load Google's font API today, and 104,960 have carried both at some point since March 2026. Font Awesome shares 76,449 domains, but it's an icon set, so that pairing is expected. Adobe Fonts shares 3,627 and MyFonts 75. None of these pairs passes our switching tests, because more than half of the domains ever seen with both still run both. On those sites Bunny Fonts is an addition, not yet a replacement.

How We Counted Bunny Fonts Sites
A domain counts when a page carries a link element whose address contains fonts.bunny.net. That catches the stylesheet that loads the fonts, and also preconnect and dns-prefetch hints, which some platforms add on pages that don't load a font. Bunny Fonts has no account key, so we can't group domains by customer the way we do for paid services.
Our October 2026 crawl found the link on 174,422 live domains. We removed 1,002 whose page title marks them as for sale or gambling, and 25,957 maintenance, under-construction and coming-soon placeholder pages, matched by their title in any language. Most come from WebFactory's Maintenance and UnderConstructionPage plugins, which load Bunny Fonts on the placeholder screen; 10 of the 11 "Site is undergoing maintenance" pages we opened ran the first. That leaves 147,470 domains, the headline and the base for every chart on this page (147,472 for the stack percentages). 52 domains of one poker-site network slipped past the gambling filter and remain, under 0.1%.
We kept the platforms that load Bunny Fonts for their users, because the fonts really load: HighLevel's site builder (25,450 domains), Shopify stores (21,339; in our sample, mostly through the Consentmo and AirReview apps) and Brizy (12,756). Read those as sites whose builder chose Bunny Fonts, not owners who chose it themselves.
Expert Analysis: Bunny Fonts Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I run the crawler behind these numbers, and Bunny Fonts is a good example of a count that needs cleaning before anyone quotes it. A domain counts here when a page has a link element pointing at fonts.bunny.net: a stylesheet, or a preconnect hint. Our October 2026 crawl finds 147,470 domains once placeholder pages are out, 81,765 of them matched to a company, 7th in Font Services with 0.72%. Bunny Fonts is free and keyless, so there's no account ID to count. What I can count is who wrote the link.
What we took out first
Two popular WordPress plugins put a placeholder page in front of a site, and both load Bunny Fonts on it. WebFactory's Maintenance plugin, with over a million installs, replaced Google Fonts with Bunny Fonts in May 2022, and its UnderConstructionPage plugin uses it too. In 10 of the 11 "Site is undergoing maintenance" pages we opened, the plugin folder was /wp-content/plugins/maintenance/. Out of 174,422 live domains, we removed 25,957 whose title is a maintenance, under-construction or coming-soon placeholder in any language, and 1,002 for-sale or gambling pages.
Sales signal: the placeholders we removed are worth a list of their own. A placeholder is a site about to launch or relaunch, which makes it a warmer lead for a web agency or a host than a finished site.
Who puts the link there
The biggest single carrier is HighLevel. 25,450 domains, 17.26% of the 147,470, run HighLevel's builder, and all 12 HighLevel pages we opened from a random sample loaded their fonts from Bunny through the builder's own markup. Shopify stores are 14.47% (21,339 domains). Of the nine sampled stores that loaded it, seven did so through one of two apps, Consentmo's privacy app or the AirReview reviews app. Brizy adds 8.65%. Laravel puts it in its welcome page, so every new app that keeps the default font loads Bunny Fonts. These are real font loads, and we count them.
Sales signal: the person who picked Bunny Fonts is often not the site owner. If you sell a font or privacy product, the decision sits with platform and plugin teams; a site-by-site pitch reaches people who never made the choice.
Reading the chart
The chart has one point, October 2026, because that's the first month we counted Bunny Fonts without placeholders. When later months arrive, read them with care: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection widens too. Churn is already high. 61,562 domains have dropped Bunny Fonts from a hostname since we started tracking it on 16 March 2026, and in a re-check only 5,258 of 61,564 still loaded it somewhere else on the domain. Placeholders that became real sites, popups that were switched off and builders that changed a font setting all look like drops, and I can't split them yet.
"Bunny Fonts' count is mostly a record of which builders and plugins chose it. HighLevel's builder alone puts it on more than 25,000 domains." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: treat this list as fluid. With 61,562 drops in seven months, pull it fresh before every outreach run.
Who the companies are
68.49% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, and 26.83% were founded in the 2020s, against 66.07% and 20.43% on the Google Font API profile. Bunny Fonts sites are smaller and younger. The large companies on our list mostly use it on one property. Canva's is a merch shop, Estes Express Lines' a customer login, Safaricom's a campaign site, Perry Ellis's a privacy page. Universities arrive through their tools: Notre Dame and Chicago Booth through one alumni-community platform, Addis Ababa University and Universidad Militar Nueva Granada through Laravel apps that kept Figtree, the default font.
Sales signal: at a large organisation, find the team that owns the subdomain. It's usually marketing, alumni relations or a product team running a Laravel app.
A European tilt
The United States leads with 24,345 matched companies, but the nine European countries in our top 15 add up to 25,856. Germany has 4,189, about one for every six American companies, where the Google Font API profile shows one for every eight and a half. France (3,471) and the Netherlands (3,469) are fourth and fifth. That fits the story bunny.net tells about its own launch in June 2022: it built Bunny Fonts after a Munich court ruled against a site that shared visitors' IP addresses with Google's font service. The motive doesn't run through the whole stack, though. Google Analytics is on 47.09% of these domains.
Sales signal: for privacy, consent or EU-hosting products, the German and Dutch Bunny Fonts sites that aren't on a builder are a self-selected list. Somebody there has already made one privacy-driven change.
Bunny and Google together
A drop-in replacement ought to remove Google's font API. On many sites it hasn't. 58,847 Bunny Fonts domains still load Google Font API, and 104,960 have carried both since March. 76,449 also load Font Awesome, which is an icon set, so that pairing is expected. None of these pairs passes our switching tests, because more than half of the domains ever seen with both still run both. On those sites Bunny Fonts sits next to Google's API instead of replacing it.
"58,847 Bunny Fonts domains still call Google's font servers. For sites that switched for privacy, that half-finished job is the finding." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: privacy-audit and consent vendors have a ready opener: the site already uses a GDPR-minded font service and still sends font requests to Google.
The stack around it
Across the 147,472 clean live domains, WordPress runs on 55.95%, Elementor on 14.08% and Brizy on 8.65%. Cloudflare fronts 42.1%, and jsDelivr (10.59%) and cdnjs (10.38%) each sit around a tenth. Consent tools are thin: CookieYes 3.21%, Complianz 2.26%, Cookiebot 1.05%.
Sales signal: a WordPress site with Bunny Fonts and no consent banner is common here. Consent vendors and agencies selling privacy clean-ups can filter on exactly that.
What it costs
Nothing. bunny.net's Bunny Fonts page says "No account needed. Always free." bunny.net makes its money elsewhere, on its CDN and video streaming, and Bunny Fonts puts its name in front of developers who might need those.
Key takeaways
1. 147,470 domains after placeholder pages are removed, 7th in Font Services, about one for every 79 Google Font API domains.
2. Free and keyless, so the count is websites, and builders and plugins placed much of it.
3. HighLevel's builder carries 17.26% of the count, Shopify apps 14.47% and Brizy 8.65%.
4. Smaller, younger and more European than Google's font users.
5. 58,847 domains run Bunny Fonts and Google Font API together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Bunny Fonts?
Mostly small businesses whose site builder or plugin chose it, plus developers who swapped it in by hand. Our October 2026 crawl finds Bunny Fonts on 147,470 domains, and 68.49% of matched companies have 10 or fewer staff. Named users include Safaricom, Virginia Tech, Canva's merch shop, Ollie's Bargain Outlet, Estes Express Lines and South Lanarkshire Council, each checked on its own page.
How many customers does Bunny Fonts have?
None in the billing sense: Bunny Fonts is free and needs no account. Our October 2026 crawl finds it on 147,470 domains, 81,765 of them matched to a company, after we removed 25,957 placeholder pages that load it through WordPress plugins. Since 16 March 2026, 61,562 domains have dropped it from at least one hostname, a sign of how fast this list turns over.
What is Bunny Fonts's market share?
0.72% of Font Services, 7th in the category, on 147,470 domains in our October 2026 crawl. The category mixes text-font services with icon sets such as Font Awesome and Ionicons, so the ranking isn't like-for-like. Against Google Font API alone, which has 11,623,583 domains and 56.62%, Bunny Fonts has about one domain for every 79. It is well ahead of MyFonts, at 23,225.
What are the best alternatives to Bunny Fonts?
Google Fonts itself, if privacy wasn't the reason for the switch: 58,847 Bunny Fonts domains still load Google's font API as well. Self-hosting the same open-source font files keeps every request on your own server. For commercial typefaces, MyFonts sells per-font licences, and Adobe Fonts shares 3,627 domains with Bunny Fonts. Font Awesome, in the same category, is an icon set.
Which countries use Bunny Fonts the most?
The United States, with 24,345 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (6,553), Germany (4,189), France (3,471) and the Netherlands (3,469). That's a little smaller than the Google Font API profile, with 66.07% at 1 to 10. 604 companies have more than 1,000 staff, and the named ones often use Bunny Fonts on one subdomain, such as a merch shop.

What is Bunny Fonts?
Bunny Fonts is a free web-font service from bunny.net, launched in June 2022. Its API copies version 1 of the Google Fonts CSS API, so a site switches by changing the hostname to fonts.bunny.net. bunny.net says it keeps no logs and runs on EU-based systems. Our crawl counts a domain when a page links a stylesheet or connection hint from fonts.bunny.net.
Is Bunny Fonts free?
Yes. bunny.net's Bunny Fonts page says "No account needed. Always free." There's no key or account ID in the link either, which is why we can't group sites by account the way we do for paid tools. The 147,470 domains in our October 2026 crawl are websites, not subscribers, and many got Bunny Fonts from a builder or plugin that chose it.
Why not use Google Fonts?
The usual reason is EU privacy law. bunny.net says it built Bunny Fonts after a 2022 Munich court ruling against a site that shared visitors' IP addresses with Google's font service. That's the case for switching, but the switch is often partial: 58,847 Bunny Fonts domains in our October 2026 crawl still load Google's font API as well. This isn't legal advice.
Is Bunny Fonts GDPR compliant?
bunny.net says Bunny Fonts is hosted by BunnyWay d.o.o., an EU company, keeps no logs and passes no data to third parties, so it can't track your visitors. It doesn't make a whole site compliant, though. In our crawl, 47.09% of Bunny Fonts domains still run Google Analytics, and 58,847 still load Google's font API next to it.
Which WordPress plugins load Bunny Fonts?
Several popular ones load it on the front end. WebFactory's Maintenance plugin (1+ million installs) switched from Google Fonts to Bunny Fonts in 2022, and its UnderConstructionPage plugin (600,000+) uses it too; we removed 25,957 of their placeholder pages from our count. WPMU DEV's Hustle and Forminator load fonts from Bunny as well. WordPress runs on 55.95% of Bunny Fonts domains.
Why do HighLevel sites load Bunny Fonts?
Because HighLevel's site and funnel builder links page fonts from fonts.bunny.net. All 12 HighLevel pages we opened from a random sample did it from the builder's own markup, with Roboto, Lato, Inter and others. That puts 25,450 HighLevel domains, 17.26% of the 147,470 we count, on Bunny Fonts whether or not the owner ever chose it.
Do Laravel sites use Bunny Fonts?
Many new ones do, because Laravel puts it in the starter files. Laravel 12's welcome page loads Instrument Sans from fonts.bunny.net, and Laravel 11 and the Breeze starter kit load Figtree. Eleven of the 50 organisations on our list load one of those defaults. We detect Laravel itself on 1,829 Bunny Fonts domains, a floor, since Laravel is hard to see from outside.
