Design Engineer
We're looking for a Design Engineer who lives at the intersection of design and code to craft polished, performant UI for our platform.
TechnologyChecker is building the definitive technology graph for revenue teams. Our platform provides technology stack detection, verified contact enrichment, and 20-year historical intelligence that helps sales and marketing teams identify prospects, analyze competitors, and optimize their go-to-market strategies. We're a remote-first team focused on accuracy, reliability, and delivering features that move revenue metrics.
The Role
We're looking for a Design Engineer who lives at the intersection of design and code. You'll take concepts from wireframe to production, build and maintain our component library, and ensure every interaction feels polished and intentional. This role bridges our design and engineering teams.
You'll own the visual quality of our product—from pixel-perfect implementations to thoughtful animations and micro-interactions that make complex data feel approachable.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain reusable UI components using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS with a focus on consistency and performance
- Translate designs into production code working closely with designers to ensure pixel-perfect implementations from Figma
- Own and evolve the design system including component documentation, usage guidelines, and accessibility standards
- Implement animations and micro-interactions that delight users and make complex workflows feel intuitive
- Optimize frontend performance including Core Web Vitals, bundle size, and rendering efficiency
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience as a frontend engineer or design engineer with a strong portfolio
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS with Tailwind CSS preferred
- Strong eye for design with attention to spacing, typography, color, and visual hierarchy
- Experience building design systems or component libraries used by multiple teams
- Comfortable working in Figma and collaborating closely with designers on implementation details
- Passionate about accessibility and web standards with knowledge of WCAG guidelines
