Companies Using PrimeVue

Our October 2026 crawl finds PrimeVue on 14,498 domains, and 9,168 of them match a company record. Below is the list of companies that use PrimeVue, PrimeTek's Vue component library. We count websites carrying its markers, and confirmed users include ABN AMRO (abnamro.nl), DWS, Rheem and the University of Iowa.

One vendor shapes the count. 34.78% of these domains are school-district sites built on Apptegy's CMS (Thrillshare in our stack data), which loads PrimeVue on every district site we opened. That's why Primary and Secondary Education leads the industry chart at 14.04%. PrimeVue ranks #17 of 85 in UI & CSS Frameworks with a 0.11% share.

The count is cleaned. Our rule also matches CSS class names that PrimeNG (Angular) and PrimeReact share with PrimeVue, so we removed 6,845 domains where that shared CSS appeared without Vue.js or Nuxt.js. How We Counted, at the bottom of the page, has the detail.

PrimeVue Usage Statistics

Our October 2026 crawl counts 14,498 live PrimeVue domains after removing sites where PrimeTek's shared CSS appeared without Vue. October is the first month counted that way, so the chart has a single point; before cleaning, the same rule matched 21,397 domains. We won't read a trend into one point.

Exits are smaller. 3,828 domains have dropped the PrimeVue signal on at least one hostname since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026. That figure uses the uncleaned rule, and 1,297 of those domains still run the signal on another hostname, so it overstates sites that have left.

List of Companies Using PrimeVue

Our list of companies using PrimeVue covers 9,168 organisations matched from 14,498 domains. Among the brands that use PrimeVue named in the table, 25 of 50 are school sites on Apptegy's platform, which carry large LinkedIn followings and so rank high.

We opened every detection URL in the top 50. Of the 43 we could load, 38 ran PrimeVue and 5 were Angular apps running PrimeNG on a domain that also runs Vue; we replaced those and four other rows (details in How We Counted, below). When you review websites using PrimeVue at a large company, check the framework on the detected page before you pitch.

PrimeVue Market Share Among UI & CSS Frameworks

What is PrimeVue's market share? On our cleaned count PrimeVue holds 0.11% of the UI & CSS Frameworks category and ranks #17 of 85, behind Vuetify (0.17%, 23,155 domains), Kendo UI (0.20%) and Chakra UI (0.14%) and far behind Material UI (1.09%, 146,039 domains). The category puts Vue kits, React kits and CSS engines such as UnoCSS in one table, so the share mostly tells you scale, based on our crawl at TechnologyChecker.io.

PrimeVue Customers by Company Size & Age

Is PrimeVue only for small teams? Mostly, with a public-sector and banking tail. 44.78% of matched companies have 1-10 employees and 69.73% have 50 or fewer, based on 8,294 companies with a size band. Above 1,000 employees there are 394. In our named list those are often school districts on Apptegy's platform, such as Hillsborough County and Loudoun County, and banks running PrimeVue on customer sites, such as ABN AMRO and Raiffeisen Bank International.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

The age chart has a bulge at the old end: 17.9% of matched companies with a founding year (702) predate 1960. Education explains much of it: 393 of those 702 are schools, districts or universities. Districts founded in the 1800s, such as Loudoun County Public Schools (1870) and Hillsborough County's (1871), run on Apptegy's platform. The rest of the profile is young: 29.22% were founded in the 2010s and 21.14% in the 2020s.

What Industries Use PrimeVue the Most?

Education is the largest block. Primary and Secondary Education (14.04%), Education Administration Programs (12.97%) and Education Management (4.10%) add up to 31.11% of matched companies, close to the 34.78% of domains on Apptegy's school platform. Software Development (5.23%), Technology, Information and Internet (3.23%) and IT Services (3.14%) come next, which is where PrimeVue's own buyers sit: teams building Vue apps in-house or for clients, based on our enriched company data.

Financial services companies using PrimeVue account for 2.51%, and the ones we confirmed run it on customer-facing sites: ABN AMRO on abnamro.nl, DWS on funds.dws.com and Raiffeisen Bank International on bank.rbinternational.com. Medical practices using PrimeVue (2.70%), real estate companies on PrimeVue (2.16%) and retailers (2.06%) complete the top ten. In retail the surfaces vary: Hy-Vee runs PrimeVue on huddle.hy-vee.com and Paparazzi Accessories on its main store.

PrimeVue Alternatives & Competitors

Which libraries compete with PrimeVue? For Vue teams, Vuetify is the direct rival: 23,155 domains (0.17%) against PrimeVue's 14,498, and only 231 domains run both today. Material UI (1.09%) and Chakra UI (0.14%) are React libraries and UnoCSS (0.22%) is a CSS engine, so they share a category with PrimeVue rather than a buyer. Kendo UI (0.20%) runs alongside PrimeVue on just 32 domains.

These percentages are of 14,497 clean live PrimeVue domains. Vue.js runs on 99.54%, partly by construction, since the cleaning keeps Vue and Nuxt sites, and Nuxt.js on 56.78%, so most PrimeVue sites are server-rendered Nuxt builds, Apptegy's district sites included. Inertia.js (5.17%) and Laravel (1.59%) mark Laravel teams with a Vue front end. Amazon Web Services hosts 9.62% and Vercel 2.89%. Google Analytics is on 71.01%, and Apptegy's CMS (Thrillshare, 34.78%) appears more than three times as often as WordPress (10.17%).

How We Counted PrimeVue Sites

A domain counts here if a page on it carries a PrimeVue signal and it passes our cleaning. There are two signals. One is the style tag PrimeVue's theming engine writes into the page, a style element marked data-primevue-style-id, which only PrimeVue produces. The other is a set of CSS class names for toasts, calendars, dialog masks, menu items and sidebars (.p-toast and similar). PrimeTek uses the same class names in PrimeNG for Angular and PrimeReact for React, so that second signal can't tell the three apart.

Our rule matched 21,397 live domains. We removed 6,845 where the shared CSS appeared with no Vue.js or Nuxt.js anywhere on the domain. By our 13 October split, about 3,250 of those were Angular sites (PrimeNG), about 1,440 React sites (PrimeReact) and about 1,850 showed no framework we could detect. We also removed 60 domains whose titles mark them as for-sale or gambling pages. That leaves 14,498, and every chart, table and percentage on this page uses that clean set. A browser sample of 28 random sites from the uncleaned set had found 17 PrimeVue, 6 PrimeNG, 2 PrimeReact and 3 with no Prime library, which is why we cleaned.

Two limits remain. The filter works per domain, so a PrimeNG app on a subdomain still counts when the same domain runs Vue elsewhere; five of the 50 largest companies were like that, and we replaced them in the named list. And our UI & CSS Frameworks category table hasn't had this correction: it lists PrimeVue at 20,969 domains and 0.16%, which is why the two pages disagree. In the named list we also replaced two rows whose detection host no longer resolves, one that matched Raiffeisen Bank's Romanian subsidiary to the parent group and one matched to the wrong company. Rows we couldn't open because of bot protection or a sign-in wall stay in the table but aren't named in the text.

Expert Analysis: PrimeVue Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Mehmet Suleyman
Mehmet SuleymanCEO & Co-founder, TechnologyChecker

I spent years on crawling infrastructure at Bing before we built TechnologyChecker, and component libraries are among the hardest things to fingerprint well. PrimeVue shows why. As of our October 2026 crawl, TechnologyChecker.io detects PrimeVue on 14,498 domains after cleaning, and 9,168 of them match a company record, a 63.2% match rate. Two very different groups of users sit inside that number, and getting to it took a cleaning step. You need both in view before you build a list.

What the signal catches

Our rule has two parts: the style tag PrimeVue's theming engine writes into the page (data-primevue-style-id), which only PrimeVue produces, and a set of CSS class names such as .p-toast that PrimeTek also uses in PrimeNG for Angular and PrimeReact for React. When I split the uncleaned matches on 13 October 2026, 3,253 domains showed the shared classes on an Angular site and 1,439 on a React site, and a browser sample of 28 random sites found 17 PrimeVue, 6 PrimeNG and 2 PrimeReact. So we removed every domain where the shared CSS appears without Vue.js or Nuxt.js: 6,845 of 21,397, plus 60 for-sale or gambling pages. The 14,498 left are what this page describes.

Sales Signal: After cleaning, a PrimeVue detection is effectively a Vue detection. If you sell services around PrimeTek's libraries (theming, upgrades, support), remember that the 6,845 removed domains are largely PrimeNG and PrimeReact users facing the same licence change; they just aren't on this page.

Growth and exits

This page's chart starts in October 2026, the first month counted on the cleaned basis, so it has one point: 14,498. I won't infer a trend from it. When the series grows, read it with the usual caution. Counts are not a like-for-like series over time: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time.

Exits are easier to read. 3,828 domains have dropped the PrimeVue signal on at least one hostname since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, counted on the uncleaned rule, and 1,297 of those still run it on another hostname. That's churn we've watched happen, not a lifetime total.

"Over a third of PrimeVue's clean footprint is one school-website vendor, and almost a third of our raw matches turned out to be its Angular and React siblings. The library runs on all of those sites, but who chose it differs a lot." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales Signal: Size territories on the October count. A domain that appears for the first time isn't necessarily a new build, so don't trigger "just adopted PrimeVue" outreach from a first detection alone.

Who is behind the domains

The single largest block is K-12 education. 34.78% of clean PrimeVue domains (5,042 of 14,497) run on Apptegy's school-website CMS, which appears as Thrillshare in our stack data and is built with Nuxt and PrimeVue. All 48 Apptegy district sites I opened loaded PrimeVue, among them Loudoun County Public Schools and the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Apptegy made the library choice for them. The industry chart shows it: the three education categories add up to 31.11% of matched companies, and 17.9% of companies with a founding year predate 1960, 393 of those 702 being schools, districts or universities.

Across the whole matched base, 44.78% of companies with a size band have 1-10 employees and 69.73% have 50 or fewer. The enterprise tail is 394 companies above 1,000 employees. Among the 50 largest by LinkedIn following I could load 43 detection URLs: 38 ran PrimeVue and 5 were PrimeNG apps on domains that also run Vue, which I replaced. Confirmed PrimeVue users include ABN AMRO on abnamro.nl, DWS on funds.dws.com, Raiffeisen Bank International on bank.rbinternational.com and Rheem on rheem.com.

Sales Signal: Split the list before you work it. For ed-tech vendors, the Apptegy cohort is a clean list of US and Canadian districts on one CMS. For developer tooling and agencies, exclude the Apptegy domains and you're left with teams that chose PrimeVue themselves.

Industry and geography

The United States leads with 5,367 matched companies, about 2.9 times the next ten countries combined (1,849). Germany (338), the United Kingdom (275) and Brazil (257) follow, then the Netherlands (204) and France (196). Software Development (5.23%), Technology, Information and Internet (3.23%) and IT Services (3.14%) are the developer-led industries, 11.60% together, and Financial Services adds 2.51%.

Sales Signal: Germany, the UK and Brazil are the largest non-US markets for PrimeVue and close in size, so a European or Latin American agency selling Vue work has a similar pool in each.

Why this profile has no migration table

We ran the usual switching test and published nothing, on purpose. Most overlaps are coexistence: Material UI and PrimeVue run together on 310 domains today, UnoCSS on 291, Vuetify on 231, Chakra UI on 40 and Kendo UI on 32. Component libraries sit side by side in one codebase, or on different apps under one domain, so there's rarely an exclusive slot for one to take from another. The leaver counts that remain are no more than 33 domains for any rival, too few to call a direction.

"The event to watch on this list is PrimeVue 5's licence. Every commercial team on it has to decide whether to buy seats, stay on 4.x or move." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales Signal: Don't build a "leaving PrimeVue" campaign from churn data yet. The trigger is the licence change, and it will show up slowly, as teams pin 4.x or replace components over many months, not as a sudden drop in our counts.

The stack around it

Across the 14,497 clean domains, Vue.js appears on 99.54%, partly by construction, and Nuxt.js on 56.78%, so most PrimeVue sites are server-rendered Nuxt builds, Apptegy's included. Inertia.js (5.17%) and Laravel (1.59%) mark Laravel teams with a Vue front end. Hosting is spread out: Amazon Web Services 9.62%, Vercel 2.89%, Firebase 2.32%, Azure 2.14%, Netlify 1.15%. Microsoft ASP.NET shows on 2.70%.

Sales Signal: Vercel (2.89%) and Netlify (1.15%) are small slices, so this isn't mainly a Jamstack crowd. Hosting and observability vendors will meet AWS as the incumbent, and the Inertia.js slice points agencies to Laravel shops that put a Vue front end on an existing back end.

The 2026 licence change

For most PrimeVue users this matters more than anything in our charts. PrimeTek announced PrimeUI, one licence for PrimeVue, PrimeNG and PrimeReact. PrimeVue 5.0.0 went out on npm on 15 July 2026 under that licence. Version 4.5.5, from April 2026, is the last MIT release, and PrimeTek says existing MIT versions stay MIT. The free Community licence covers organisations under $1M in revenue, with fewer than 5 developers and 10 employees and under $3M in venture funding. Everyone else needs Commercial, priced at $599 per developer until 31 December 2026 and $799 after, perpetual with a year of updates.

Set that against our size chart. Every company with 11 or more staff, 55.22% of those with a size band, is outside the Community terms for PrimeVue 5. School districts on Apptegy are a question for Apptegy, which builds and runs their sites.

Sales Signal: Commercial PrimeVue users face a buy-or-stay decision, and the $599 launch price ends on 31 December 2026. Agencies can offer 4.x pinning, upgrade or replacement projects, and other component vendors have a reason to call teams that would rather not pay per developer.

How to use this list

Start with PrimeVue, then remove domains running Apptegy's CMS; what's left is the in-house Vue base. Add a size filter of 11-200 employees to reach teams big enough to need a commercial licence; the 11-50 and 51-200 bands hold 39.82% of matched companies. Read the detection URL last. A main-site hit like ABN AMRO's suggests a design-system choice, while a sign-in or portal subdomain points to an internal app team.

A workable opener: "I saw [surface] is built on PrimeVue. With PrimeVue 5 now licensed per developer, teams are choosing between buying seats, pinning 4.x or switching. Here's how [product] helps whichever way you go."

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses PrimeVue?

Two groups, mostly. School districts on Apptegy's website platform make up 34.78% of PrimeVue domains, including Loudoun County Public Schools and Frisco ISD. The rest are teams building Vue apps, and 44.78% of matched companies have 1-10 employees. Named users we confirmed in a browser include ABN AMRO, DWS, Raiffeisen Bank International, Rheem, Hy-Vee and the University of Iowa.

How many customers does PrimeVue have?

We count websites, not customers. Our October 2026 crawl finds PrimeVue on 14,498 domains after cleaning, and 9,168 match a company record. The raw rule matched 21,397, but 6,845 of those showed PrimeTek's shared CSS with no Vue.js or Nuxt.js, which points to PrimeNG or PrimeReact, so we removed them. Since March 2026, 3,828 domains have dropped the signal on a hostname.

What is PrimeVue's market share?

PrimeVue holds 0.11% of the UI & CSS Frameworks category on our cleaned count and ranks 17th of 85, behind Vuetify's 0.17%. The category mixes React kits, Vue kits and CSS engines, so the share mostly tells you scale. Our category table still lists the uncleaned figure, 0.16%, which includes sites where PrimeNG and PrimeReact use PrimeTek's shared CSS class names.

What are the best alternatives to PrimeVue?

For Vue teams the usual comparison is Vuetify, on 23,155 domains in our crawl against PrimeVue's 14,498, and just 231 domains run both today. Teams that don't want PrimeVue 5's commercial licence have two other routes: stay on the MIT-licensed 4.x line, or move to another Vue library. Material UI and Chakra UI, also in our table, are React libraries.

Which countries use PrimeVue the most?

United States leads with 5,367 matched PrimeVue domains, followed by Germany (338), United Kingdom (275), Brazil (257), Netherlands (204). These are counts within the 9,168 domains we could match to a company record, not the full detected base.

What size companies use PrimeVue?

Mostly small ones. Of 8,294 matched companies with a size band, 44.78% have 1-10 employees and 69.73% have 50 or fewer. There are 394 above 1,000 employees, including banks such as ABN AMRO and DWS and large school districts on Apptegy's platform. Size matters more than usual here, because PrimeVue 5's free Community licence stops at fewer than 10 employees.

How old are companies that use PrimeVue?

Among the PrimeVue domains we could match to a company with a known founding date, the largest group was founded in the 2010s (29.22%), followed by the 2020s (21.14%). That matched subset is drawn from 9,168 companies and is not representative of all 14,498 detected domains. This suggests PrimeVue is most popular among relatively young companies.

What is the ideal customer profile for PrimeVue?

The ideal PrimeVue customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (44.78%), Location: United States, then Germany and the UK, Founded: 2010s (29.22%), with an old school-district tail, Organisation: School districts and software teams, Front-end Stack: Vue.js, usually with Nuxt — based on our analysis of 9,168 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

What is PrimeVue used for?

Building Vue interfaces from ready-made components such as data tables, forms, date pickers, dialogs, menus and toasts. In our crawl it shows up on three kinds of site: school-district websites on Apptegy's CMS, business apps and portals behind a sign-in page, and company sites built with Nuxt. Vue.js runs on 99.54% of PrimeVue domains and Nuxt.js on 56.78%.

Is PrimeVue free to use?

It depends on the version. PrimeVue 4.x and earlier stay under the MIT licence, free for any use. PrimeVue 5, released in July 2026, ships under PrimeTek's PrimeUI licence. Its Community tier is free only for organisations under $1M revenue, with fewer than 5 developers and 10 employees and under $3M raised; everyone else needs the paid Commercial licence.

How much does PrimeVue cost?

PrimeVue 4.x costs nothing under MIT. For PrimeVue 5 and later, PrimeTek's Commercial licence is $599 per developer at the launch price, which runs to 31 December 2026, then $799 from 2027. It's perpetual with one year of updates, and extending updates costs $399 per developer per year. Larger organisations can ask PrimeTek for a site licence quote.

Is PrimeVue still open source?

The existing versions are. PrimeTek says every MIT-licensed release stays MIT, and 4.5.5 from April 2026 is the last of them on npm. From PrimeVue 5, released in July 2026, new major versions ship as compiled packages under the PrimeUI licence and are no longer released as open source. PrimeNG 22 and PrimeReact 11 follow the same model.

Which is more popular, PrimeVue or Vuetify?

Vuetify, on site count. Our October 2026 crawl finds Vuetify on 23,155 domains and PrimeVue on 14,498 after cleaning, category shares of 0.17% and 0.11%, and only 231 domains run both today. PrimeVue's total also leans on one school platform, with 34.78% of its domains on Apptegy, so Vuetify's lead among teams that chose a library themselves is wider than the raw gap.

Why do so many school district websites use PrimeVue?

Because their website vendor does. Apptegy's school CMS, which appears as Thrillshare in our stack data, builds district sites with Nuxt and PrimeVue, and 34.78% of PrimeVue domains run on it. The districts didn't choose the library. All 48 Apptegy sites we opened, including Loudoun County, Anne Arundel County and Round Rock ISD, loaded PrimeVue.

What is the difference between PrimeVue, PrimeNG and PrimeReact?

They're PrimeTek's component libraries for three frameworks: PrimeVue for Vue, PrimeNG for Angular and PrimeReact for React. They share themes and CSS class names, which is why page styling alone can confuse them. In a random sample of 28 sites our rule matched before cleaning, 6 were PrimeNG apps and 2 PrimeReact. Their next major versions share one PrimeUI licence.

How does TechnologyChecker.io detect PrimeVue?

With two signals and a cleaning step. The precise signal is the style tag PrimeVue's theming engine injects, marked data-primevue-style-id. The broad one is PrimeTek's CSS class names for toasts, calendars, dialogs and menus, which PrimeNG and PrimeReact use too. Domains with only the broad signal and no Vue.js or Nuxt.js are removed: 6,845 of 21,397 raw matches.

Are companies moving away from PrimeVue after the licence change?

Not visibly yet, though our cleaned series only starts in October 2026. PrimeVue 5 shipped in July 2026, and our October crawl counts 14,498 PrimeVue domains. Since March, 3,828 domains dropped the signal on a hostname, and 1,297 of them still run it on another. Teams on 4.x keep their MIT rights, so any shift will show up slowly.
