Companies Using Lead Forensics
Our October 2026 crawl finds Lead Forensics on 4,439 live domains, and its buyers are British and older than Leadinfo's or Leadsy's. Of the 3,514 domains we matched to a company, 1,695 are in the United Kingdom and 1,135 in the United States, and half the companies with a known founding year date from before 2000. Below is the list of companies that use Lead Forensics, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes Smiths Group, AlixPartners, Willmott Dixon and Ahlstrom.
Lead Forensics ranks 11th in Visitor Identification with 1.34% of the category. The 4,439 leaves out 542 retired Informa brand and event domains that forward to informa.com and load Informa's own Lead Forensics account; how we counted is at the bottom of the page. One more thing shapes the stack data: Lead Forensics' newer tracker loads Demandbase's partner tag under a single key of its own, which is why Demandbase shows on 29.26% of these sites.

Lead Forensics Usage Statistics
The chart starts at 4,439 domains in October 2026, the first month counted after removing Informa's 542 forwarding domains, so it has one point rather than a trend. Earlier monthly totals included those domains and aren't comparable. Any later movement should be read with two causes in mind: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones found, and our detection signals widen over time. Since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, 842 domains have dropped Lead Forensics on at least one hostname, and 116 of them still ran it on another when we re-checked in October.

Which countries use Lead Forensics the most? The United Kingdom, with 1,695 of the 3,514 matched companies (48.24%). The United States follows with 1,135 (32.3%), then Canada (98), the Netherlands (80), Germany (61) and Ireland (59). The UK, the US, Canada and Ireland together hold 85% of matched companies. Lead Forensics' pricing page lists one sales line in the US and one in the UK, and the map has the same two markets.
Share of the 3,514 Lead Forensics domains we matched to a company record — 79.2% of the 4,439 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Lead Forensics Market Share Among Visitor Identification
What is Lead Forensics's market share? 1.34% of Visitor Identification, 11th in the category, on 4,439 domains in our October 2026 crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. It is the smallest of the five company-identification tags in its competitor table, three places behind Leadsy (6,608) and well behind Leadinfo (24,503). Counted raw, with Informa's 542 forwarding domains in, it would read 4,981; we count Informa once.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Lead Forensics Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Lead Forensics? Mostly firms with 11 to 200 staff. 11 to 50 employees is the largest band at 39.73%, then 1 to 10 (27.86%) and 51 to 200 (23.32%), so 63.05% have between 11 and 200 staff. That is a heavier profile than Leadinfo's, where 44.61% have 10 or fewer. 78 companies have more than 1,000 staff, among them Smiths Group, Ahlstrom and Informa.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
Lead Forensics' buyers are older than Leadinfo's or Leadsy's. The 2000s (23.45%) and 2010s (23.34%) are nearly tied, the 1990s add 17.91%, and 50.31% of matched companies were founded before 2000. Only 2.88% date from the 2020s, against 18.22% on Leadinfo's matched set and 43.22% on Leadsy's. Smiths Group and Ahlstrom (both 1851) and Willmott Dixon (1852) are on the list.
What Industries Use Lead Forensics the Most?
IT Services and IT Consulting leads at 6.17%, with Advertising Services (5.96%) and Software Development (5.72%) close behind, based on our enriched company data. Then comes the industrial core: Construction (4.64%), Machinery Manufacturing (4.52%), Industrial Machinery Manufacturing (3.98%) and Appliances, Electrical and Electronics Manufacturing (2.94%), 16.08% together. Printing Services (2.04%, 68 companies) also makes the top ten.
Manufacturers using Lead Forensics include Smiths Group, Rite-Hite, Ahlstrom and Waupaca Foundry. Construction companies on Lead Forensics include Willmott Dixon in the UK and Pepper Construction in the US. Agencies using Lead Forensics include Critical Mass and George P. Johnson, which runs it on its Brazilian site.
Lead Forensics Alternatives & Competitors
On Lead Forensics sites the most common second tag is ZoomInfo, not Leadfeeder. 261 domains run Lead Forensics and ZoomInfo today, and 77.7% of the 336 ever seen with both still have both. Leadfeeder shares 166 domains, Leadinfo 92 and Leadsy 16. None of these pairs passes our switching tests, so this page has no migration table: sites that add a second tool mostly keep the first.

How We Counted Lead Forensics Customers
A domain counts here if a page on it loads a script from leadforensics.com. Lead Forensics' snippet puts the customer's account number in that address (secure.leadforensics.com/js/ followed by the number), so we can see whose account a site runs, not only that the tag is there. On 98 random domains from the final set, 85 loaded Lead Forensics in a browser, 6 sat behind bot walls and 7 didn't load it for us.
Before computing anything, we removed 542 domains that pass that test but are one customer counted many times. They are Informa's retired brand and event domains. Each forwards to informa.com and loads Informa's own account, number 817908. That is 10.9% of the 4,981 raw domains. We found 359 of them by their page title and the other 183 by the account number; the 7 we opened in a browser all landed on informa.com. informa.com itself stays in, as one customer.
Every chart and table on this page uses the remaining 4,439, and so do the competitor tables on our other Visitor Identification profiles; on that count Lead Forensics is 11th with 1.34%. A figure of 5,005 elsewhere is the count before this correction. Smaller groups of forwarding domains stay in, because each is under 1% and they are the companies' own sites: dsm-firmenich's account covers 43 product domains, DALI's 24, Trifast's 21 and Rite-Hite's 18. Because the correction changed the base, the usage chart starts in October 2026.
Expert Analysis: Lead Forensics Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Lead Forensics is the oldest-feeling tool in this group of pages, and the data backs the feeling. Our October 2026 crawl finds it on 4,439 live domains, 11th in Visitor Identification with 1.34% of the category. The buyers are British, mid-sized and established: half of the matched companies with a known founding year date from before 2000.
A domain counts when a page loads a script from leadforensics.com. I checked that in a browser on 98 random domains from the final set: 85 loaded Lead Forensics, 6 sat behind bot walls and 7 didn't, mostly forwarding domains whose destination didn't load it for us. The count is sound once one customer is taken out, and that customer is the first thing to explain.
One customer, 542 domains
Lead Forensics puts the customer's account number in the script address, so we can count accounts as well as domains. That is how the biggest distortion showed up. Informa, the events and publishing group, points its retired brand and event domains at informa.com, and every one of them loads Informa's account. Our title filter caught 359; the account number found 183 more, and the seven I opened all landed on informa.com. Together that is 542 domains, 10.9% of the 4,981 raw count, for one customer. We count Informa once, on informa.com, which takes the headline from 4,981 to 4,439 and the rank to 11th.
The rest of the census looks like ordinary customers. Before the cut, 4,118 domains showed a readable account number across 2,674 accounts; without Informa's 183 extra forwarders that is 3,935 domains on the same 2,674 accounts. The next-largest groups are small: dsm-firmenich's account covers 43 product domains, DALI's 24, Trifast's 21 and Rite-Hite's 18, each under 1% of the count.
"One publisher's forwarding domains were about one in nine Lead Forensics domains. Count accounts, not domains, and the tool looks like what it is: a few thousand mid-sized British and American sellers." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: roll the list up to account before you prospect. One Lead Forensics account is one buying decision, however many domains point at it.
Growth and churn
The usage chart starts at 4,439 in October 2026, because the Informa correction changed the base and earlier months included those domains. From here on, read movement with two causes in mind: the domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection widens over time. Since 16 March 2026, 842 domains dropped Lead Forensics on at least one hostname, and 116 of them still ran it on another hostname in October.
Sales signal: this is a stable pool of a few thousand domains, not a growth market. The leavers since March are the list for any rival with a cheaper or self-serve offer.
The Demandbase tag inside Lead Forensics
Demandbase shows on 29.26% of Lead Forensics domains in our stack data. That isn't a quarter of Lead Forensics customers buying an enterprise ABM platform. Lead Forensics' newer tracker defines Demandbase's partner tag with a single key, the same key in every account script I opened, loads tag.demandbase.com/partnertag.min.js and posts the answer to its own server. In our script records, 658 Lead Forensics domains load that partner tag; in my browser sample, 20 of 85 installs did. The older, shorter tracker doesn't.
Lead Forensics says it builds its IP database in-house. The partner call doesn't contradict that, but it shows the newer tracker asks Demandbase too. The same widget loader also imports BotD, FingerprintJS's open-source bot-detection library, from Lead Forensics' own CDN.
Sales signal: if you prospect Demandbase's install base from website tags, take Lead Forensics sites out first. Hundreds of those Demandbase detections are Lead Forensics' key, not a Demandbase contract.
Who buys it
11 to 50 employees is the largest band at 39.73%, then 1 to 10 at 27.86% and 51 to 200 at 23.32%. Leadinfo's buyers are smaller (44.61% have 10 or fewer staff) and Leadsy's smaller still. By age, only 2.88% were founded in the 2020s. Industries are spread thin, with IT Services and IT Consulting on top at 6.17%, but construction and three manufacturing groups add up to 16.08%. Smiths Group, Rite-Hite, Ahlstrom, Waupaca Foundry and Willmott Dixon are typical names; Willmott Dixon runs Leadinfo as well.
Geography is two markets. 1,695 of 3,514 matched companies are British (48.24%) and 1,135 American (32.3%). Canada, the Netherlands, Germany and Ireland follow far behind.
Sales signal: these are owner-managed industrial firms with a sales team on the phone. CRM, sales-training and outbound-calling services fit them better than self-serve software.
ZoomInfo on the same pages
The second tag on Lead Forensics sites is usually ZoomInfo. 261 domains run both today, and 77.7% of the 336 ever seen with both still do. Leadfeeder shares 166 domains, Leadinfo 92 and Leadsy 16. None of these pairs passes our switching tests.
"Lead Forensics customers who add a second tool pick ZoomInfo more than anything else, and three in four keep both. They're buying more data, not leaving." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: the 261 dual-tag domains pay twice for company identification. A consolidation pitch with a match-rate test is the obvious way in, for either vendor.
The stack around it
Google Analytics runs on 86.6% of the 4,439 domains and WordPress on 51.52%, with Elementor on 10.95% and the Divi theme on 4.03%. Salesforce (4.48%) is the most visible CRM tag. Lead Forensics Chat, on 3.11%, is the vendor's own chat widget.
Sales signal: WordPress agencies and Salesforce partners in the UK reach the core of this list.
What it costs
There is no price list. Lead Forensics' pricing page (14 October 2026) says the cost depends on website traffic, users are unlimited, and buyers start with a demo and a one-week free trial before a representative proposes a package.
Sales signal: quoted, traffic-based pricing means renewals are negotiated. Time a competing offer to the renewal, not to the trial.
Key takeaways
1. 4,439 live domains, 11th in Visitor Identification with 1.34%, after counting Informa once.
2. British (48.24%) and American (32.3%) buyers, half founded before 2000.
3. 2,674 accounts behind 3,935 readable domains (4,118 before Informa's 183 extra forwarders came out); no other group reaches 1%.
4. Demandbase on 29.26% of domains is Lead Forensics' own partner key.
5. ZoomInfo is the usual second tag, on 261 domains.

Older than most. Among matched companies with a known founding year, 23.45% date from the 2000s, 23.34% from the 2010s and 17.91% from the 1990s, and 50.31% were founded before 2000. Only 2.88% are from the 2020s. Smiths Group and Ahlstrom (both 1851) and Willmott Dixon (1852) are on the list.
What is the ideal customer profile for Lead Forensics?
A British or American B2B company with 11 to 50 staff, founded before 2000, in IT services, manufacturing, construction or marketing, with a WordPress site running Google Analytics. Manufacturing and construction together make up 16.08% of matched companies. The buyer usually has a field or phone sales team that follows up on identified visits.
What does Lead Forensics do?
Lead Forensics tells B2B sales teams which companies visited their website. A script on the site captures each visitor's IP address, Lead Forensics matches it against its own database of business IP addresses, and the dashboard shows the company, the pages viewed and contact details. Its newer tracker also queries Demandbase's partner tag and loads a chat widget.
How much does Lead Forensics cost?
Lead Forensics doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page says the cost depends on how much traffic your website gets, that users are unlimited and don't change the price, and that you start with a demo and a one-week free trial, after which a representative proposes a package. Checked 14 October 2026.
Is Lead Forensics legit?
Yes, it is a real product, founded in 2009 according to its LinkedIn record. We find its tracker on 4,439 live domains, under 2,674 different accounts where the account is visible, including firms like Smiths Group and AlixPartners. Whether it suits you is a different question: prices are quoted, not published, so ask about contract length during the one-week trial.
Lead Forensics vs Leadfeeder: which do companies use?
Both, sometimes on the same site. 166 domains run Lead Forensics and Leadfeeder today, and 71.2% of the 233 ever seen with both still do. Lead Forensics' matched companies are 48.24% British and older, with half founded before 2000. Lead Forensics quotes prices after a one-week trial, and ZoomInfo pairs with it more often than Leadfeeder does.
Why does Demandbase appear on Lead Forensics sites?
Because Lead Forensics loads it. Its newer tracker defines Demandbase's partner tag with the same key in every account script we opened, loads partnertag.min.js and sends the result to Lead Forensics' own server. 20 of 85 Lead Forensics installs in our sample did this. So Demandbase on 29.26% of these domains reflects Lead Forensics' data supply, not the sites' purchases.
Why does this page count Informa only once?
Informa, the events and publishing group, points hundreds of retired brand and event domains at informa.com, and each one loads Informa's own Lead Forensics account. We removed 542 of them, 10.9% of the 4,981 raw domains, so one customer doesn't fill the charts. informa.com itself stays in. The headline of 4,439 is what remains.
