Companies Using EmbedSocial

I expected EmbedSocial to look like the other Instagram-feed embedders in our October 2026 crawl. It looks more like a widget for local businesses that want social proof on the homepage, with a surprisingly corporate top end. A domain counts here when a page loads EmbedSocial's script from embedsocial.com or carries its widget code, and the test holds up. A plain fetch of every live domain found EmbedSocial code on 92.3% of the 5,358 homepages that answered. That misses sites that add the script with JavaScript after the page opens, as Unum's careers site and MSIG Indonesia do. Of 28 random domains I opened in a browser, 24 of the 27 that loaded had EmbedSocial on the page and 20 showed a working widget. That gives 6,148 live domains, 4,046 matched to a company, 14th of 69 in Social Media & Content Curation.

What's actually on the page

EmbedSocial draws its widgets in an iframe served from embedsocial.com, so a browser shows which product a site bought. Of the 20 working widgets in my sample, 13 were social feeds only, with Instagram, Facebook and YouTube posts, 5 were reviews only, mostly Google reviews, and 2 put Google reviews next to a social feed. Four more sites loaded the script without showing anything on the page I opened. EmbedSocial's pricing page says widgets stop displaying when a subscription ends or the month's view allowance runs out, so some of those are probably lapsed or capped accounts.

Sales signal: a script-only site is a different conversation from one with a live feed. Check the page before you pitch, because an empty widget slot can mean an account that's already halfway out.

Flat since July

The chart reads 5,563 domains in June, 6,248 in July, 6,108 in August, 6,124 in September and 6,148 in October. The June to July step is ours: the domain set we crawl turns over each month as dead sites drop out and new ones come in, and our detection of EmbedSocial widened. Since July the total has moved inside a 140-domain band. That stability hides churn. 1,541 domains have dropped EmbedSocial since we began tracking it in March 2026. About 150 still run it on another hostname, and of the 1,391 that dropped it everywhere, 1,370 still showed other live technology in our crawl. Most leavers are working businesses.

Sales signal: treat EmbedSocial as a stable pool of about 6,000 domains with steady churn. The leavers are reachable, and they still have a reason to show reviews or posts.

Who the customers are

56.77% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 26.67% have 11 to 50, so 83.44% have 50 staff or fewer. Industries tell the same story. Retail (6.79%), Construction (4.77%), Medical Practices (4.25%) and Real Estate (3.99%) lead, and with Wellness and Fitness Services (3.21%) and Hospitals and Health Care (2.34%), the healthcare labels add up to 9.8%. Most look like local service businesses. Then there's the top end: 59 companies above 1,000 staff. Aramark runs two social feeds on aramark.com and Mitsubishi Electric one on its global site, and Paycor, Sun Chemical and UNOPS each show a feed on their main sites. Unum runs EmbedSocial on its careers pages, High Point University on its dining site.

Sales signal: the small-business majority buys on price and speed, often through whoever built the site. At large accounts, find the owner of the one property that carries the widget, usually the social media or recruiting team.

Where they are

The United States has 1,789 matched companies, the United Kingdom 368 and Australia 225. Brazil ties Canada on 158, ahead of the Netherlands (123), India (118) and Germany (104), and the five main English-speaking markets add up to 2,578. Brazil shows up among the named sites too: Liveoficial, the fitness and swimwear brand, and the city government of Ananindeua both run EmbedSocial. EmbedSocial lists offices in Skopje, Tokyo and Lisbon on its company page, yet Japan doesn't make our top 15 countries.

Sales signal: outside the English-speaking markets, Brazil is the one with enough EmbedSocial companies (158) to build a campaign around, and it needs Portuguese-language outreach.

The Trustindex cluster

Our switching tests found nothing between EmbedSocial and the feed tools in its category table. SnapWidget, for example, has 10 domains ever seen with both, and 6 still run both. The exit that matters is in reviews. 320 of the 1,391 domains that dropped EmbedSocial everywhere now run Trustindex, against 208 of the 6,120 domains that kept it. This looks like one decision. 317 are WordPress sites, 290 carry the same accessibility widget, UserWay, and all 14 in a random sample were dental or veterinary practices. 267 of them picked up Trustindex after EmbedSocial went, mostly in July and August 2026, which points to one agency or platform moving its clients' review widgets. In the other direction, 13 domains dropped Trustindex and kept EmbedSocial.

Sales signal: for EmbedSocial, agencies are the lever, since what looks like one agency's decision moved 320 sites. For rivals, the dental and veterinary practices still on EmbedSocial are the next target, and the agencies behind them are the people to call.

The stack around it

Across the 6,114 clean live domains we profile, WordPress runs on 32.16%, so two in three EmbedSocial sites use something else, such as Squarespace (4.73%), Duda (3.73%) or Webflow (3.16%). GoDaddy hosts 23.86%, against 5.45% for WP Engine and 3.5% for Hostinger, which fits a small-business base. Google Analytics is on 79.47%. Commerce is a minority: Shopify is on 5.5% and WooCommerce on 4.5%, even though EmbedSocial lists a Shopify integration on its paid plans.

Sales signal: pitch EmbedSocial users as website owners first. Agencies on Squarespace, Duda and Webflow reach 11.62% of these sites between them, about a third of WordPress's share, so a WordPress plugin channel alone misses most of the list.

What it costs

EmbedSocial's pricing page (checked 13 October 2026) lists a permanent Free plan with one source and 500 widget views a month. Pro costs $29 a month for 3 sources and 5,000 views, Pro Plus $49 for 6 sources and 20,000 views, and Premium $99 for 15 sources and 100,000 views; Enterprise is quoted. Yearly billing saves 20% and nonprofits get 50% off. Every plan has unlimited widgets, and they all draw on one view allowance.

Sales signal: view caps turn traffic growth into an upgrade conversation. A site that outgrows Pro's 5,000 views a month is choosing between EmbedSocial's next tier and a rival.
