Companies Using SnapWidget

SnapWidget is the kind of tool a marketing team adds on a Friday afternoon: make a widget, paste an iframe, and the website shows the latest Instagram posts. That makes it a useful signal of who cares about social content on their own site. A domain counts here when a page embeds an iframe from snapwidget.com or loads a script from it. Our October 2026 crawl finds 9,453 live domains, 4,570 of them matched to a company, 9th of 69 in Social Media & Content Curation. I opened the 50 named sites on 13 October and 44 showed a SnapWidget embed or script.

Thousands of small accounts, no platform behind them

Every SnapWidget embed carries a widget number in its address. On the 86 sites where we could read it, we found 98 widget numbers, and no two sites shared one. No theme or agency is spraying one widget across thousands of domains. The biggest group in the stack is South Korean: 635 domains run Cafe24, the Korean store builder, and the 12 Cafe24 stores we could load each had their own widget. WordPress is on only 23.53% of SnapWidget domains.

Sales signal: each row is a separate buyer who set up their own widget. Prospect them one by one, and expect a marketing coordinator or owner, not a developer.

Flat since July

The chart reads 8,053 in June, 9,098 in July and 9,453 in October. The June to July step reflects changes on our side, the domains we cover and the signals we detect SnapWidget with, and the set of domains we crawl turns over every month as dead sites drop out and new ones are found. After July the line moves 3.9%. 1,095 domains dropped SnapWidget on at least one hostname since 16 March 2026, and 162 of the 1,098 we rechecked still run it on another hostname.

Sales signal: treat this as a steady pool of about 9,500 sites, not a growing one. Re-pull monthly, because more than one domain in ten has dropped it on some hostname since March.

Schools, clubs, hotels and shops

63.43% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, and only 64 have more than 1,000 staff. Age is where SnapWidget stands out: 11.07% predate 1960, against 7.49% on AddToAny's profile. The named list explains it. Tulane runs a feed on its homepage, the University of Delaware on its admissions site, Riverside County Sheriff's Office has two widgets, and the city of Hampton, Virginia, has one on hampton.gov. Retail leads the sectors at 9.56%, with Spectator Sports (5%) and Hospitality (4.24%) next.

Sales signal: the buyer is whoever runs a public-facing site with an active Instagram account: admissions offices, club secretaries, hotel marketers, shop owners. Messages about recruiting students, members or guests will land better than anything technical.

A Brazilian lean, and an Asian blind spot

The United States leads with 1,541 matched companies, and Brazil is second with 574, more than twice the United Kingdom's 248. Australia (259) is ahead of the UK too. Our country chart can't show the Asian users, because few of their sites match a company record: 419 SnapWidget domains end in .kr and 575 in .jp, against 159 matched Japanese companies and too few Korean ones to reach the top 15. Naver Analytics, on 7.39% of SnapWidget domains, is another sign of the Korean group.

Sales signal: for anyone selling into Korean e-commerce, the Cafe24 stores here are a ready list of shops that already put social content on their storefront. Work from domains, not company names, because the company match is thin.

Rivals and the switching question

SnapWidget's competitors are other feed embedders: Tagembed on 8,573 domains, Juicer on 6,994, EmbedSocial on 6,148 and Curator on 4,343. They almost never share a site with SnapWidget. The largest overlap is with EmbedSocial: 10 domains ever seen with both, 6 running both today. That's too small to call a migration either way. Of the 937 domains that dropped SnapWidget on every hostname since March, 15 now run another widget tool we track, 14 of them Elfsight. Elfsight is the other name people compare, but it sells 90+ website apps and its profile's 176,213 domains count all of them.

Sales signal: rivals pitching SnapWidget users are competing against inertia, not against a recent choice. A site rebuild is the moment to reach them, since that's when widgets get re-chosen or dropped.

Widget health

An embed in the page isn't always a working feed. Of 64 SnapWidget embeds we could open in a browser in October 2026, 60 showed posts and 4 showed an error: two asked for the widget or subscription to be updated and two showed a 404 page inside the frame. SnapWidget's help centre says it shows placeholder images when it can't load a photo, for example after an access token expires. Its changelog records the move to Instagram's new API in November 2024, ahead of the Basic Display API's deprecation.

Sales signal: a broken widget on a homepage is an easy opener for a web agency or a rival feed tool. It's on the homepage for anyone to see, and quick to fix.

What it costs

SnapWidget's pricing page (13 October 2026) lists free widgets plus three paid plans for Pro widgets: Lite at $8 a month for one, Pro at $14 for 20 and Developer at $99 for 250, each with a 14-day trial. Pro widgets link photos straight to Instagram and refresh every five minutes, and hashtag widgets need Pro or above. Its terms are governed by South African law.

Sales signal: at $8 to $14 a month, SnapWidget is a card-on-file purchase. Rivals win these users on features or looks, since there's little price to undercut.
