Companies Using Parcel
Our October 2026 crawl finds code built with the Parcel bundler on 38,176 live sites. Parcel is a free, MIT-licensed build tool, so that is a count of websites running Parcel's output, not paying customers. Below is the list of companies that use Parcel, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes the World Bank's scorecard site, McGill University and Crown Castle, each loading Parcel output from a script on its own site.
The count is Parcel 1. Our rule reads parcelRequire, the global Parcel 1 creates; Parcel 2 renames it, and Parcel 1's last release, 1.12.5, shipped in March 2021. Many sites never built with it. WordPress runs on 50.8% of them, and in a random sample of 23 sites loading Parcel code, 19 got it from a plugin or a third-party script, such as an animation player, a social-sharing plugin or a cookie banner. Parcel ranks #7 in Developer Tooling with a 2.08% share.

Parcel Usage Statistics
Our current crawl counts 32,333 Parcel sites in June 2026 and 38,176 in October 2026, and nearly all of the change is one step: 5,740 domains into July, followed by 38,603, 38,341 and 38,176. Counts are not a like-for-like series over time: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The July step reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect Parcel with, rather than a surge in adoption.
Since August the count has slipped by 427 domains. Exits are easier to count: 6,432 domains have dropped Parcel since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026. When we rechecked on 13 October, 754 of 6,436 dropped domains (11.7%) still ran it on another hostname, so most of those exits are real.
List of Companies Using Parcel
Our list of companies using Parcel covers 19,283 organisations matched from 38,176 detected domains, a 50.5% match rate. Every size, industry and country percentage on this page describes that matched set.
We opened each of the 50 named brands that use Parcel in October 2026 and confirmed the Parcel 1 global on the page; rows we couldn't confirm, or whose company match was wrong, were replaced. 27 of the 50 were detected on a subdomain. Few of these websites using Parcel were built with Parcel by the company itself: Kaiser Permanente and BRP load it inside LottieFiles' animation player, five newsrooms (Mitie, Allied Universal, Lancashire County Council, ABS and 2K) inside a shared newsroom platform's cookie script, and Togg, Olimpica and Alkosto inside the Storyly stories widget.

Which Countries Use Parcel the Most?
Which countries use Parcel the most? The United States leads with 6,145 matched companies, 31.9% of the 19,283 we matched. France is second with 1,578, ahead of Germany (1,372) and the United Kingdom (1,154), and one supplier explains part of that: 1,191 live Parcel domains load scripts from Netty, which builds websites for French real-estate agencies with a Parcel-built bundle. Brazil (951), Canada (650) and Mexico (646) follow, based on our enriched company data.
Share of the 19,283 Parcel domains we matched to a company record — 50.5% of the 38,176 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Parcel Market Share Among Developer Tooling
What is Parcel's market share? Parcel holds 2.08% of the Developer Tooling category and ranks #7, based on our crawl of live domains at TechnologyChecker.io. Among the bundlers in its competitor table, Webpack leads with 38.18% (699,804 domains), Turbopack has 18.84% and Vite 5.2%. Read Parcel's figure as Parcel 1's installed base: our signal doesn't see Parcel 2 builds, and the Parcel 1 package hasn't shipped a release since March 2021.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Parcel Customers by Company Size & Age
Is Parcel only used by small companies? Mostly. 61.39% of matched companies have 1-10 employees and 85.01% have 50 or fewer, based on 17,703 companies with a published size band. Above 1,000 employees there are 372. At those, Parcel code often sits on a side surface rather than the main site: a newsroom such as news.mitie.com, an events hub such as events.docusign.com, or a careers site such as careers.informa.com.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
39.42% of matched companies with a known founding year were founded in the 2010s, followed by the 2000s (18.36%) and the 2020s (15.18%), so 72.96% date from 2000 or later. Organisations founded before 1960 are 5.84%. They include some of the largest names in our list, such as McGill University (1821), the US Postal Service (1776) and the World Bank (1944), all of them carrying Parcel code on at least one of their sites.
What Industries Use Parcel the Most?
Real Estate leads at 7.84% (1,296 companies), ahead of Retail (4.69%) and IT Services and IT Consulting (3.65%). Most of the real-estate lead looks like one supplier: of the 1,297 real-estate domains in our check, 861 run React and 848 run JSS, the same front-end signature as the Netty agency sites. Below Software Development (3.25%), no industry passes 3%, so apart from the real-estate cluster the base is spread thin, according to our enriched company data.
Real estate agencies using Parcel are mostly French offices on Netty-built sites, such as Cormorans Immo and Thalis Immobilier, which load a Parcel-built bundle.site.js. Bloggers using Parcel often get it from Hubbub, the NerdPress sharing plugin formerly called Grow Social, and 3,572 Parcel domains co-detect Mediavine, Raptive or Grow, tools that ad-supported publishers run. Universities using Parcel include McGill, whose theme bundle carries it, and the University of Arizona, whose shared footer component does on phonebook.arizona.edu.
Parcel Alternatives & Competitors
Parcel's table lists three bundlers, all far larger in our crawl: Webpack (38.18%), Turbopack (18.84%) and Vite (5.2%). They sit beside Parcel more than they replace it. Webpack runs today on 1,548 of the 2,006 domains where we've seen both, Turbopack on 187 of 339 and Vite on 27 of 40. A site can carry a plugin's Parcel 1 widget beside a Webpack or Next.js build, so read these as coexistence counts from our live crawl, not switches.
Parcel Customer Migration
Tech Stack of Parcel-Powered Websites
WordPress is the base layer: it runs on 50.8% of the 37,930 live domains in our stack analysis, with Elementor on 12.34% and Divi on 3.56%. On WordPress, Parcel arrives through plugins; in our sample that meant a social-sharing plugin, Lottie animation add-ons and a WooCommerce payment framework. Duda (6.4%) and Grow.me (4.66%) come next. jQuery runs on 82.64%, Swiper on 22.44% and Lodash on 19.88%, while React shows on 7.53% and Vue.js on 4.58%, so most of these sites are not JavaScript apps.

Expert Analysis: Parcel Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I read Parcel detections the way a sales team would, asking what a hit says about the company behind the domain. As of our October 2026 crawl, TechnologyChecker.io finds Parcel output on 38,176 live sites, and 19,283 of them match a company record, a 50.5% match rate. The short version: this is a count of Parcel 1 code still running on the web, and most of it was put there by someone other than the site owner.
What the signal catches
Our rule checks pages for parcelRequire, the global function Parcel 1's runtime creates. Parcel 2 adds a hash to that name; parceljs.org itself exposes parcelRequiree7ff, which our rule doesn't match. So the count is Parcel 1 output, and that version is finished. The parcel-bundler package says "Parcel v1 is no longer maintained", and its last release, 1.12.5, shipped on 16 March 2021. Parcel 2 has lived under the parcel package since 2.0.0 in October 2021 and reached 2.16.4 in February 2026. Our technology detection methods post covers how browser checks like this work.
Who put Parcel on the page
A bundler's runtime travels inside whatever it built. We opened 30 random live Parcel sites and traced the script carrying it on the 23 that loaded it. Only 4 served their own or their theme's Parcel build. 11 got it from a WordPress plugin: a social-sharing plugin on six content blogs, Lottie animation add-ons on three and SkyVerge's WooCommerce payment framework on two. The other 8 loaded it in a third-party script, such as LottieFiles' animation player, cookie-consent banners or a Korean store-marketing widget.
Across the full base the same carriers show up at scale. 2,621 Parcel domains co-detect SkyVerge, 2,301 co-detect LottieFiles, and 3,572 co-detect Mediavine, Raptive or Grow, the tools ad-supported blog publishers run. 2,175 load scripts from Keepgrow, a marketing app for Korean online stores, and 1,191 from Netty, the French real-estate site supplier. None of these carriers reaches 10% of the count on its own.
Growth trajectory
Our current crawl counts 32,333 Parcel sites in June 2026, 38,073 in July, 38,603 in August, 38,341 in September and 38,176 in October. Counts are not a like-for-like series over time: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The 5,740-domain step into July reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect Parcel with, rather than a surge in adoption. Since August the line has slipped by 427 domains.
Exits are measurable. 6,432 domains have dropped Parcel since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, equal to 16.8% of the October count. When we rechecked on 13 October, 754 of 6,436 dropped domains still ran Parcel on another hostname, so most exits are real. With no Parcel 1 release since 2021, a drop usually means a rebuild, a plugin update or a dead site.
"Parcel 1 stopped shipping in 2021, yet 38,176 live sites still run its runtime, mostly inside plugins and widgets their owners never chose. The code outlives the decision by years." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: Treat this as a shrinking legacy base. A Parcel hit in a company's own bundle marks a front end nobody has rebuilt since Parcel 1, a fair opening for agencies and migration work. A hit through a plugin says nothing about the site's developers.
The companies behind the domains
The matched base is small: 61.39% of companies with a size band have 1-10 employees, and 85.01% have 50 or fewer. Founding years lean to the 2010s (39.42%), and 72.96% were founded in 2000 or later. Real Estate leads industries at 7.84%, ahead of Retail (4.69%), IT Services (3.65%) and Software Development (3.25%), and no other industry passes 3%.
There are 372 companies above 1,000 employees, and in our named list 27 of 50 were detected on a subdomain rather than the main site. Five corporate newsrooms, for Mitie, Allied Universal, Lancashire County Council, ABS and 2K, load Parcel through the same newsroom platform's cookie script. DocuSign's event site runs on Swoogo and FT Forums on Bizzabo. A few large organisations do serve Parcel code from their own sites: the World Bank's scorecard, McGill University's theme and Crown Castle's main script. Parcel's homepage shows a "Trusted by" logo strip but no customer list, so I had nothing vendor-published to cross-check.
Sales Signal: At an enterprise, route by surface. A newsroom or events hit points to the communications team and its platform vendor, not to engineering.
Industry and geographic concentration
The United States accounts for 6,145 of 19,283 matched companies (31.9%). France is second with 1,578, and the reason is concrete: Netty's agency sites load a Parcel-built bundle.site.js, and 1,191 Parcel domains pull scripts from Netty. The same supplier explains the industry chart's lead: of 1,297 real-estate domains we checked, 861 run React and 848 JSS, Netty's front-end signature. Germany (1,372), the United Kingdom (1,154), Brazil (951) and Mexico (646) follow. South Korea doesn't make the top 15 countries even though 2,175 Parcel domains load Keepgrow scripts, so most of those stores have no company match.
Sales Signal: For real-estate software in France, a Parcel hit on an agency site is a strong hint that Netty built it. Filter Parcel plus the Real Estate industry plus France to get that list in one pass.
Why there is no migration table
We tested the switching corridors and published none. Parcel output coexists with other bundlers on the same site: Webpack runs today on 1,548 of the 2,006 domains where we've seen both, Turbopack on 187 of 339 and Vite on 27 of 40. A plugin's Parcel 1 widget can sit beside a Webpack-built theme for years, so a domain carrying both isn't mid-migration. When Parcel disappears, it's usually a plugin update or a rebuild, not a team choosing a rival bundler.
"You can't migrate away from a bundler you never chose. For most of these sites, Parcel leaves when a plugin vendor ships a new build." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: If you sell build tooling, the buyers behind most of this footprint are plugin and widget vendors. One conversation with a vendor still shipping Parcel 1 output reaches thousands of domains.
Technology ecosystem
WordPress runs on 50.8% of the 37,930 domains in our stack analysis, Elementor on 12.34%, Duda on 6.4% and Divi on 3.56%. jQuery is on 82.64%, core-js on 68.98%, Swiper on 22.44% and Lodash on 19.88%. React (7.53%) and Vue.js (4.58%) are thin, which fits the picture: most Parcel sites aren't single-page apps. Google Analytics is on 71.78% and GoDaddy hosts 10.73%.
Sales Signal: This is a WordPress-and-jQuery list with a Parcel artefact on top. Sell it WordPress services, plugin audits or performance work, not JavaScript framework tooling.
Key takeaways
- 38,176 live sites run Parcel 1 output; Parcel 2 builds aren't in the count.
- Parcel 1 has had no release since March 2021.
- In our sample, 19 of 23 sites got Parcel from a plugin or a third-party script.
- WordPress is the base platform (50.8%), with French real-estate agencies and Korean stores as separate clusters.
- In our named list, large companies often carry it on newsrooms, event sites and careers pages.
Sales applications
For targeting, filter Parcel on TechnologyChecker.io and keep companies detected on their main domain; those are the likeliest own builds. For outreach to them, be specific: "Your site still ships Parcel 1, which hasn't had a release since 2021. We move teams to a maintained build without a redesign." For competitive work, watch the plugin carriers. When one of them rebuilds, its sites will leave this list together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Parcel?
Websites of every size, but mostly small ones. Our October 2026 crawl finds Parcel 1 code on 38,176 live sites, including the World Bank, McGill University, Crown Castle and Kaiser Permanente. Many didn't build with Parcel themselves: WordPress runs on 50.8% of them, and plugins, animation players and widgets bundled with Parcel 1 carry it onto pages whose owners never chose it.
How many customers does Parcel have?
Parcel is free, so it has users rather than customers. Our October 2026 crawl counts 38,176 live sites running Parcel 1 output, and 19,283 of them match a company record. The figure leaves out Parcel 2 builds, which our signal can't see, and it includes many sites that got Parcel inside a plugin or widget rather than from their own build.
What is Parcel's market share?
Parcel holds 2.08% of the Developer Tooling category and ranks #7, according to TechnologyChecker.io's crawl of live domains. Webpack leads the bundlers in its table with 38.18%, ahead of Turbopack (18.84%) and Vite (5.2%). Parcel's figure counts only Parcel 1 output, so it measures an older installed base rather than Parcel's share of new projects.
What are the best alternatives to Parcel?
The common alternatives are Vite, Webpack and Turbopack. In our crawl Webpack is on 699,804 domains, Turbopack on 345,255 and Vite on 95,246. Teams still on Parcel 1 have a closer option too: Parcel 2, published under the parcel package on npm, which the Parcel 1 package's own deprecation notice tells users to migrate to.
Which countries use Parcel the most?
The United States leads with 6,145 of the 19,283 companies we matched (31.9%). France is second with 1,578, partly because Netty, a supplier of French real-estate agency websites, ships Parcel-built code to its clients' sites. Germany (1,372), the United Kingdom (1,154), Brazil (951), Canada (650) and Mexico (646) follow, based on our enriched company data.
What size companies use Parcel?
Mostly very small ones. 61.39% of matched companies have 1-10 employees and 85.01% have 50 or fewer, out of 17,703 with a published size band. Only 372 have more than 1,000 employees. At those larger organisations, Parcel code often sits on a newsroom, events site, careers portal or marketing page, frequently inside a vendor's script and away from the main product.

Which is better, Parcel or webpack?
For a new project, it's a trade between convenience and control. Parcel's site promotes zero configuration, while Webpack is far more widespread, on 699,804 domains in our crawl against 38,176 running Parcel 1 code. Parcel 2 is the version to compare; Parcel 1 is deprecated. The two often share a site: Webpack runs on 1,548 of the 2,006 domains where we've seen both.
Which is better, Vite or Parcel?
Both aim at builds with little setup. Vite was designed around native ES modules in the browser and has the larger footprint: 95,246 domains in our crawl, against 38,176 running Parcel 1 code. Parcel 2's latest npm release is 2.16.4, from February 2026. The two rarely meet on one site: we've seen both on 40 domains, and 27 still run both.
What does Parcel do?
Parcel is a build tool. It takes a project's HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and assets, resolves their dependencies and outputs bundles for the browser, with a development server and hot reloading built in. Its website calls it the zero configuration build tool for the web. On a live site, Parcel 1 output leaves a parcelRequire global, which is what we detect.
Is Parcel free?
Yes. Parcel is open source under the MIT license, and its license file names Devon Govett as copyright holder, so there is nothing to pay. The cost that matters for the 38,176 sites we detect is migration: they run Parcel 1, whose npm package is deprecated in favour of Parcel 2, so moving to a maintained build takes developer time.
Is Parcel bundler dead?
No, but Parcel 1 is. The parcel-bundler package on npm carries the notice that Parcel v1 is no longer maintained, and its last release, 1.12.5, came out in March 2021. Parcel 2 lives on under the parcel package, with 2.16.4, published in February 2026, as its latest release. The 38,176 live sites in our crawl run Parcel 1 output.
How does TechnologyChecker.io detect Parcel?
Our crawler loads each page in a browser and checks for parcelRequire, the global function that Parcel 1 bundles create. Parcel 2 adds a project hash to that name (Parcel's own site shows parcelRequiree7ff), so our rule doesn't count Parcel 2 builds. A hit means some script on the page was bundled with Parcel 1, whether by the site or by a plugin vendor.
Which WordPress plugins use Parcel?
In our sample, Parcel 1 code reached WordPress sites through Hubbub, the NerdPress sharing plugin formerly called Grow Social, Lottie animation add-ons for page builders such as WPBakery and Divi, and SkyVerge's WooCommerce payment-gateway framework. Across the whole base, 2,621 Parcel domains co-detect SkyVerge and 2,301 co-detect LottieFiles. WordPress runs on 50.8% of the domains in our stack analysis.
