Companies Using Paradox

Our August 2026 rollup counts 364 domains running Paradox, and 271 of them, 74.45%, resolve to an identifiable company. The companies using Paradox named further down include McDonald's, General Motors, ADP, T-Mobile, NIKE, Walgreens, BP, Cargill, Chipotle, 7-Eleven, Compass Group and Aramark.

A domain is counted when its page defines a Paradox-hosted endpoint, either _applybase or oliviaChatBaseUrl pointed at paradox.ai. That reads a live install rather than an account marker, and it puts the detection where the hiring happens. 63.9% of detections sit on a careers host and 49.6% on a hostname other than the apex, against 15.0% non-apex on our Amazon ALB profile and 3.5% on Nginx. What this page measures is the recruiting surface of large employers, not their corporate homepages.

The industry table names the product. Restaurants is the second-largest label at 29 of the 261 companies with a recorded industry, 11.11%, immediately behind Hospitals and Health Care at 12.26%. Both are hourly, shift-staffed workforces, which is the high-volume hiring problem Olivia is built for. McDonald's, Chipotle, Papa John's, Arby's, Inspire Brands, Dunkin' Donuts, Compass Group and Aramark are all on the named list.

Paradox ranks 23rd of the 77 technologies we track in HR & Recruitment on 0.59% share, a placement that says more about the category than about Paradox: the five largest entries hold 65.48% between them and none of them is a recruiting chatbot. The companies here run large and old. 27.99% of the 268 companies reporting a headcount employ more than 10,000 people, and 34.62% of the 208 with a founding year predate 1960. Below you can filter the websites using Paradox by size, country, industry and co-installed technology. Data current to our August 2026 rollup.

Paradox Usage Statistics

Paradox reads 270 domains on our June 2026 rollup, 327 in July and 364 in August. Three points cannot carry a trend, and this movement is our coverage widening rather than the product adding sites. Corpus-wide active detections went from 321.0M in June to 352.2M in August, up 9.7%, as dead domains fell out of the crawled set and newly found ones came in. On a population of a few hundred, a month of wider crawling can move the line more than the underlying installs do. The August figure, 364, is the one quoted at the top of this page. Separately, 37 domains have dropped Paradox since we began tracking in March 2026, which is 10.16% of the 364 counted here.

List of Companies Using Paradox

Our list of companies using Paradox on TechnologyChecker.io covers 34 of the 271 matched organisations, ordered by LinkedIn following. Read the hostnames before the names. 33 of the 34 were detected on a careers or jobs hostname: careers.mcdonalds.com, search-careers.gm.com, jobs.adp.com, jobs.nike.com, careers.bp.com, jobs.issworld.com, careers.mckesson.com and so on down the list. Hitachi Energy is the single exception, detected on www.hitachienergy.com, and Compass Group is the case where the careers site is a domain in its own right, compassgroupcareers.com, which is one reason the careers-host share (63.9%) runs ahead of the non-apex share (49.6%). Every named company except Dunkin' Donuts is recorded at 10,001 employees or more, so this list is the top of the distribution rather than the middle of it.

Which Countries Use Paradox the Most?

Which countries use Paradox the most? The United States holds 229 of the 265 companies we could place, 86.42%, with Canada second on 11, 4.15%, and the United Kingdom third on 7, 2.64%. The two North American countries together are 240 companies, 90.57%. Germany (4), Australia (3), Spain (2), Ireland (2) and Denmark (2) fill out the table, and those eight countries cover 260 of the 265, leaving 5 companies outside them, among them Hitachi Energy in Switzerland. Treat the country field as the head office rather than the hiring market: BP is filed to the United Kingdom, Johnson Controls to Ireland, ISS to Denmark and Fresenius Medical Care to Germany, and all four hire across many countries from the careers host we detected.

Paradox Market Share Among HR & Recruitment

What is Paradox's market share? Paradox holds 0.59% of HR & Recruitment and ranks 23rd of the 77 technologies in it, on 364 domains. Read what is in the category before you read the rank. The five entries above the rest are WP Job Openings (31.1%), Rippling (12.94%), BambooHR (9.13%), Paylocity (6.48%) and Teamtailor (5.83%), 65.48% of the category between them. A job-board plugin and an HR platform are detected on the ordinary business websites that run them, a large and easily crawled population. Paradox is detected on the careers hosts of very large employers, a small one. The share compares footprints inside one category label, not competitive position.

Paradox Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use Paradox? Large ones, with a thin middle. 75 of the 268 companies reporting a headcount employ more than 10,000 people, 27.99%, and 162 of them, 60.45%, employ more than 1,000. The same 10,001+ band is 1.61% on our Amazon ALB profile, so this base sits roughly seventeen times heavier in the largest employers. There is a second enterprise number on this page, counted a different way: 74 of the 364 detected domains, 20.33%, belong to companies with 8,000 or more employees. That one divides by domains and uses a different threshold, so it will not reconcile with the 27.99%, and both are correct on their own base. The small tail is real but light: 44 companies, 16.42%, employ 50 or fewer.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

Pre-1960 leads at 72 of the 208 companies with a founding year, 34.62%, more than double the 1990s in second place at 15.87%. 157 of the 208, 75.48%, were founded before 2000, and only 26, 12.5%, since 2010. The named list carries McKesson at 1833, Cargill at 1865, ADT at 1874, Johnson Controls at 1885, Bristol-Myers Squibb at 1887, Becton Dickinson at 1897, Walgreens, Nordstrom and ISS at 1901, BP at 1909, Lear at 1917, 7-Eleven at 1927, Aramark at 1939, ADP at 1949 and McDonald's at 1955. Companies founded in the 2020s are 4 of 208, 1.92%. Continuous hourly hiring at scale is an old company's problem, and these are the companies that have it.

What Industries Use Paradox the Most?

Hospitals and Health Care leads at 32 of the 261 companies with a recorded industry, 12.26%, and Restaurants is second at 29, 11.11%. Those two labels alone are 61 companies, 23.37%, and they describe one hiring problem: large hourly workforces with continuous turnover. Retail follows at 5.75%, then Construction (4.21%), Consumer Services and Hospitality (3.83% each), Financial Services (3.07%), Utilities (2.68%), and Facilities Services and Food and Beverage Services (2.3% each). The ten labels shown come to 134 companies, 51.34% of the 261, out of 64 to 80 distinct industries in the full set. Group the shift-staffed labels, Restaurants, Hospitality, Food and Beverage Services, Retail and Facilities Services, and they reach 66 companies, 25.29%.

Restaurant brands using Paradox are the row to stop on. Restaurants is 29 of 261 companies, 11.11%, and the named detections under it and its neighbouring food labels are McDonald's (careers.mcdonalds.com), Chipotle (jobs.chipotle.com), Papa John's (jobs.papajohns.com), Arby's (careers.arbys.com), Inspire Brands (careers.inspirebrands.com), Dunkin' Donuts (careers.dunkindonuts.com), Compass Group (compassgroupcareers.com) and Aramark (careers.aramark.com). Add Hospitality and Food and Beverage Services and the food block is 45 companies, 17.24%. Counts here are domains, so 29 understates the hiring behind it: a brand runs one careers host however many restaurants hire through it, and McDonald's, the largest company on the named list at 377,613 LinkedIn members, is a single row. Health care companies using Paradox take the largest single label at 12.26%, with Fresenius Medical Care, Elevance Health, LabCorp and McKesson named, plus Becton Dickinson under medical equipment and Bristol-Myers Squibb under pharmaceuticals. Retailers using Paradox are 5.75%, with NIKE, Kohl's, 7-Eleven, Whole Foods and Nordstrom named and Walgreens filed separately under retail pharmacies.

Paradox Alternatives & Competitors

WP Job Openings leads HR & Recruitment on 19,192 domains and 31.1% share. It is a WordPress plugin, so it is found on the small business sites that run WordPress, and reading it as Paradox's nearest competitor answers a different question. Rippling (7,983 domains, 12.94%), BambooHR (5,633, 9.13%), Paylocity (4,002, 6.48%) and Teamtailor (3,600, 5.83%) complete a top five holding 65.48% of the category. We group every HR and recruiting technology we detect under one label, which is why a job-board plugin, an HR platform and a recruiting chatbot share a table. The two profiles that measure the same surface as this one, the careers host of a large employer, are Radancy's TalentBrew and Phenom's hosted careers sites. Both of those serve the careers site itself rather than sitting on top of one somebody else built. Category counts are from our August 2026 rollup.

Paradox Customer Migration

There is no switching table on this page, and the emptiness is a result rather than a gap. We ran Paradox against each of the other 47 technologies in HR & Recruitment and every corridor came back at seven domains or fewer, most of them at one. The reason is the size of the pool: total churn is 37 domains dropped since March 2026, so even if every one of them had landed on a single competitor it would still be a small number split 47 ways. A corridor built on one or two domains puts a direction on noise, so we do not publish one. What can be said is the turnover rate: 37 against the 364 counted here is 10.16%, and a domain leaves this list when the Paradox endpoint stops being defined on the page, which can mean a contract ended or a careers site was rebuilt.

Tech Stack of Paradox-Powered Websites

Paradox has no platform fingerprint, and that absence is the finding. The top row is core-js at 91.30%, then Google Tag Manager at 90.79% and Google Analytics at 85.42%: ordinary marketing tooling that would sit on any large employer's careers page. Compare the hosted careers sites in the same category, where TalentBrew reads jQuery at 100% and Kestrel at 84.25%, and Phenom reads Bootstrap at 99.78%, Day.js at 99.56% and Vue.js at 98.91%. Percentages that high across unrelated layers are a vendor build shipping to every tenant, not choices each employer made. Paradox has nothing at that level, because Olivia is added to a site somebody else already built. The clearest evidence sits inside its own table: Bootstrap at 43.22% next to Tailwind CSS at 37.08%, two competing CSS frameworks at similar weight, which is what a mixed population of host sites looks like and what a single vendor build never does. OneTrust (41.43%), reCAPTCHA (41.18%) and Microsoft 365 (33.25%) describe the employer running the page, not the product on it. Co-occurrence here is measured across the 391 domains our live crawl currently answers for Paradox, which is a slightly wider set than the 364 in the August rollup this page's headline uses, so a percentage in this table divides by 391 rather than by 364.

Expert Analysis: Paradox Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

David Thomson
David ThomsonCTO, TechnologyChecker

Restaurants is the second industry, and that is the product showing up in the data

The row I would put first on this page is the second one. Restaurants is 29 of the 261 companies with a recorded industry, 11.11%, just over a point behind Hospitals and Health Care at 12.26%. Two labels, 61 companies, 23.37% of the industry base, and both of them describe the same job: hiring hourly staff continuously, in volume, against constant turnover.

That is the workload Olivia is built for, so this is a product-market fit reading straight out of an industry table. The named list makes it concrete. McDonald's, Chipotle, Papa John's, Arby's and Inspire Brands under Restaurants; Compass Group and Dunkin' Donuts under Food and Beverage Services; Aramark under Hospitality; Cargill under food manufacturing. Widen it to every shift-staffed label, adding Retail and Facilities Services, and you get 66 companies, 25.29% of the 261. A quarter of the identifiable base hires the same way.

One caution about the size of that 29, and it runs in the direction people do not expect. Counts on this site are domains. A restaurant group runs one careers host no matter how many locations hire through it, so 29 restaurant domains sit on top of a hiring volume that no domain count can express. McDonald's is a single row in this table and 377,613 LinkedIn members, the largest company on the named list. Read the industry percentages as a description of who buys this, not of how much hiring it touches.

Restaurants and health care are 23.37% of the identifiable base between them. A recruiting chatbot ends up where hourly hiring never stops.

A widget leaves no fingerprint, which is how you can tell it is a widget

The co-occurrence table on this page is flat, and the flatness is the point. Paradox's top row is core-js at 91.30%, then Google Tag Manager at 90.79% and Google Analytics at 85.42%. Generic marketing furniture. Nothing here identifies Paradox.

Now set that against the hosted careers sites in the same category. TalentBrew reads jQuery at 100% and Kestrel at 84.25%. Phenom reads Bootstrap at 99.78%, Day.js at 99.56% and Vue.js at 98.91%. Numbers that high across unrelated layers are not a popularity contest among employers. They are one vendor's build shipping to every tenant, and the honest way to read those tables is as a description of the platform rather than of anyone's technology choices.

Paradox is the control case that proves it. If near-total co-occurrence were about the customers, it would show up here too, on the same kind of employer, on the same kind of page. It does not, because Olivia is added to a site that already existed and inherits whatever that site was built with. The tell sits inside Paradox's own rows: Bootstrap at 43.22% and Tailwind CSS at 37.08%, two CSS frameworks that rarely sit on the same build, at similar weight. That is a mixed population of host sites. A vendor build cannot produce it.

The deployment numbers say the same thing more quietly. 63.9% of Paradox detections are on a careers host and 49.6% on a hostname other than the apex, against 85.4% and 61.4% for TalentBrew and 89.1% and 69.1% for Phenom. Still far off the ordinary web, where Amazon ALB is 15.0% non-apex and Nginx 3.5%, so this is unambiguously recruiting infrastructure. But the 21 to 25 point gap on the careers-host share is the widget being free to land somewhere else: a main site, a campaign page, Hitachi Energy on www.hitachienergy.com.

Old, large and American

Three distributions on this page agree with each other. On size, 75 of the 268 companies reporting a headcount employ more than 10,000 people, 27.99%, and 162, 60.45%, employ more than 1,000. The same 10,001+ band is 1.61% on Amazon ALB. On age, Pre-1960 is the largest bucket at 72 of 208, 34.62%, and 75.48% of those companies predate 2000, against 1.92% founded in the 2020s. On geography, 229 of the 265 placed companies are in the United States, 86.42%, and adding Canada reaches 90.57%.

Note that the size and age figures divide by different bases, 268 and 208, because not every matched company reports both fields. There is also a third enterprise number counted on domains rather than companies: 74 of the 364 detected domains, 20.33%, belong to organisations with 8,000 or more employees. Three numbers, three denominators, and none of them should be compared with the others without saying which.

Put together they describe a specific buyer. Long-established employers, national in scale, with frontline workforces they have been recruiting for a century. McKesson at 1833, Cargill at 1865, ADT at 1874, Walgreens and Nordstrom at 1901, 7-Eleven at 1927, McDonald's at 1955. The international rows are the same shape of company filed to a different head office. BP, Johnson Controls, ISS and Fresenius Medical Care are all global groups, so the country column tells you where the registration sits, not where the hiring is.

What the rank of 23 and the empty migration table both leave out

Paradox ranks 23rd of the 77 technologies in HR & Recruitment on 0.59% share. That number will be quoted back as a competitive position, and it is not one. Our category holds everything we detect in HR and recruiting, so a WordPress job-board plugin at 31.1% and four broad HR, payroll and hiring products at 12.94%, 9.13%, 6.48% and 5.83% occupy the top five with 65.48% between them. Those products are detected on ordinary company websites, of which there are millions. Paradox is detected on the careers host of an employer with more than 10,000 staff, of which there are not. Footprint in this category is mostly a measure of how common the customer is.

The switching table is empty for a related reason, and I would rather explain the emptiness than fill it. We ran Paradox against each of the other 47 technologies in the category and every corridor returned seven domains or fewer, most of them one. The pool is the constraint: 37 domains have dropped Paradox since we began tracking in March 2026, 10.16% of the 364 counted now. Split 37 across 47 possible destinations and there is no corridor to publish, only noise with a direction painted on it.

One last caution about the chart above. The series reads 270 domains in June, 327 in July and 364 in August, and it is not a growth curve. Corpus-wide active detections moved from 321.0M to 352.2M over the same window, up 9.7%, as our crawl widened and the crawled set turned over. On a base of a few hundred domains, that ramp swamps anything the product did. Three points cannot carry a trend, and the honest use of this page is the August cross-section: who is running a recruiting chatbot right now, at what size, in which industries, and on which host.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses Paradox?

Our August 2026 rollup finds Paradox on 364 domains, and 271 of them resolve to an identifiable company. Named users include McDonald's, General Motors, ADP, T-Mobile, NIKE, Walgreens, BP, Cargill, Compass Group, Chipotle, 7-Eleven and Aramark. The typical user is a large employer with an hourly workforce: 27.99% of the 268 companies reporting a headcount employ more than 10,000 people, and the two leading industries are Hospitals and Health Care (12.26%) and Restaurants (11.11%) out of the 261 companies with a recorded industry.

How many customers does Paradox have?

We detect Paradox on 364 active domains as of our August 2026 rollup, and 271 of those, 74.45%, match to a company record. Counts are domains, not accounts or licences: an employer usually appears once, through a single careers host, however many locations hire through it. A further 37 domains have dropped Paradox since we began tracking in March 2026, which is 10.16% of the 364 counted here.

What is Paradox's market share?

Paradox holds 0.59% of our HR & Recruitment category and ranks 23rd of the 77 technologies in it, on 364 domains. This is a share of the domains we detect running something in that category, not a share of spending or of hires. The five largest entries hold 65.48% between them and are broad HR, payroll and hiring products plus a WordPress job-board plugin, all of them detected on ordinary business websites rather than on the careers hosts of large employers.

What are the best alternatives to Paradox?

By footprint in the same category the largest neighbours are WP Job Openings (19,192 domains), Rippling (7,983), BambooHR (5,633), Paylocity (4,002) and Teamtailor (3,600). Those are broad HR and job-posting products rather than conversational AI recruiting tools. The profiles that measure the same surface as this one, the careers host of a large employer, are TalentBrew and Phenom, and both host the careers site rather than adding an assistant to one that already exists.

Which countries use Paradox the most?

The United States holds 229 of the 265 companies we could place, 86.42%. Canada is second with 11 (4.15%) and the United Kingdom third with 7 (2.64%), followed by Germany (4), Australia (3), and Spain, Ireland and Denmark with 2 each. Those eight countries cover 260 of the 265, so 5 companies sit outside them. The country recorded is the head office, not the hiring market: BP, Johnson Controls, ISS and Fresenius Medical Care all hire well beyond the country they are filed under.

What size companies use Paradox?

Large ones. Of the 268 companies that report a headcount, 75 (27.99%) employ more than 10,000 people and 162 (60.45%) employ more than 1,000. For comparison, the 10,001+ band is 1.61% on our Amazon ALB profile. Counted a different way, 74 of the 364 detected domains (20.33%) belong to companies with 8,000 or more employees; that figure divides by domains and uses a different threshold, so it does not reconcile with the 27.99%. Companies of 50 or fewer are 44 of 268, 16.42%.

How old are companies that use Paradox?

Older than a software list usually runs. Pre-1960 is the largest bucket at 72 of the 208 companies with a founding year, 34.62%, and 157 of them, 75.48%, were founded before 2000. Only 26 (12.5%) were founded since 2010 and 4 (1.92%) in the 2020s. Named examples include McKesson (1833), Cargill (1865), ADT (1874), Johnson Controls (1885), Becton Dickinson (1897), Walgreens (1901), BP (1909), 7-Eleven (1927) and McDonald's (1955).

What is the ideal customer profile for Paradox?

A United States employer with more than 1,000 staff, most of them hourly, running its own careers host. In numbers: 86.42% of the 265 placed companies are in the United States, 60.45% of the 268 reporting a headcount employ more than 1,000, 75.48% of the 208 with a founding year predate 2000, and the leading industries out of 261 are health care (12.26%) and restaurants (11.11%). 63.9% of detections sit on a careers host rather than a corporate homepage.

What is Olivia, and how does it relate to Paradox?

Olivia is the conversational assistant Paradox makes for high-volume hiring. On this page the two are the same detection: what we look for is a page that defines a Paradox-hosted endpoint for the assistant, so a domain appears here when Olivia is wired up on it and leaves when it is not.

How does TechnologyChecker detect Paradox?

We match two JavaScript variables, _applybase and oliviaChatBaseUrl, against a paradox.ai endpoint. The page has to point the assistant at a Paradox-hosted origin, which makes this a live install signal rather than an account marker such as a DNS record that can outlive the contract that created it. When the endpoint stops being defined, the domain leaves the count. There is more on how signals like this are read in our note on technology detection methods.

Why do restaurant and health care brands show up so heavily on Paradox?

Restaurants is the second-largest industry on this page at 29 of 261 companies, 11.11%, behind Hospitals and Health Care at 12.26%. Both sectors hire hourly staff continuously and at scale, which is the workload a recruiting chatbot is bought for. Group Restaurants with Hospitality and Food and Beverage Services and the food block is 45 companies, 17.24%; add Retail and Facilities Services and the shift-staffed block reaches 66, 25.29%.

Where on a website does Paradox appear?

On the hiring surface. 63.9% of detections sit on a careers host and 49.6% on a hostname other than the apex, against 15.0% non-apex on our Amazon ALB profile and 3.5% on Nginx. 33 of the 34 companies named on this page were detected on a careers or jobs hostname, such as careers.mcdonalds.com or jobs.nike.com. Both figures run lower than on hosted careers sites such as TalentBrew (85.4% careers host) and Phenom (89.1%), because an assistant can also be dropped onto a main site or a campaign page. Hitachi Energy is detected on www.hitachienergy.com.

What technologies run alongside Paradox?

Nothing that identifies Paradox itself. The most common co-installed technologies are core-js (91.30%), Google Tag Manager (90.79%) and Google Analytics (85.42%), all generic. Bootstrap (43.22%) and Tailwind CSS (37.08%) appear at similar weight, and two competing CSS frameworks side by side is what a mixed set of host sites looks like. A hosted careers site produces the opposite pattern, with single libraries near 100% because the vendor ships them to every tenant.

Why is there no switching data for Paradox?

Because there was not enough of it to publish. We measured Paradox against each of the other 47 technologies in HR & Recruitment and every corridor came back at seven domains or fewer, most at one. Total churn is 37 domains since March 2026, so any corridor drawn from it would be one or two sites presented as a direction. The empty table is the measurement, not a missing one.
