Companies Using Klevu

I expected Klevu's page to be about a merger. It turned out to be about copies. Our October 2026 crawl finds Klevu's code on 18,409 live domains, and after two rounds of cleaning, 1,776 are real stores. The rest are expired domains serving copies of an old version of Mothercare Indonesia's Magento store, many of them now gambling sites. The section at the end of this page has the counts. What remains checks out: of 118 cleaned domains I opened at random, 78 loaded Klevu and only 2 that loaded showed no sign of it, and on 27 a test search went to Klevu's servers. Of the 50 companies listed here, 35 loaded Klevu and 15 blocked automated visits.

Why the raw count is wrong

When a store is copied wholesale onto an expired domain, its tags come along. The copied version of Mothercare Indonesia's store carried Klevu (the live store no longer does), so every copy carried it too, and several thousand copies turned the raw count into the 3rd-largest row in our Site Search table, at 17,241. On the cleaned count Klevu holds 1.06%, 14th of 58. Some of the gambling pages still call Klevu's servers with the account built into the copied store.

Sales signal: buy or build Klevu lists from the cleaned 1,776 only. A raw list of Klevu domains is mostly expired domains, and outreach to it will bounce or land on a casino.

A Magento and Shopify base

Magento runs on 52.08% of the cleaned domains, Shopify on 24.16% and BigCommerce on 8.9%. Klevu sells connectors for all three: its Shopify app launched in 2016, and its Magento extension supports Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.4. Klaviyo is on 41.33% of the domains, and Klevu's own Klaviyo integration script loads on about 120 of them.

Sales signal: Klevu stores are established merchants with a full marketing stack. Klaviyo-centred agencies and Magento or Shopify Plus partners will find well-qualified accounts here.

Two ways to load it, and no shared accounts

Only 639 of the 1,776 domains loaded a script from Klevu's own hosts, or called its search service, in the last 45 days of our crawl. The rest either serve Klevu's JavaScript from the store's own files, which Klevu's Magento module can do, or weren't caught loading it in that window; in a browser, stores of the first kind still send their searches to Klevu. That matters for anyone measuring Klevu from network requests alone, because they would miss the stores that serve it from their own files. Where the account key is visible in a script address, we found 33 keys on 43 domains, and the largest covers four sites of one drinks company. No key spans unrelated stores, which is what you would expect once the copies are gone.

Sales signal: a tag-scanner list of Klevu customers built from Klevu's script hosts will undercount Magento merchants. Combine it with module detection, as this list does.

Mid-sized, established buyers

32.57% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, 30.48% have 11 to 50 and 21.5% have 51 to 200. 46 companies have more than 1,000 staff. The ages lean established too: 22.11% were founded in the 2000s, 14.69% before 1960 and only 2.97% in the 2020s. The named list shows the type: Xerox, Teledyne FLIR and Sig Sauer on their shops, museums with stores such as The Met and the Royal Academy, and brands such as Fred Perry, Vera Bradley and Seasalt Cornwall.

Sales signal: at large companies the buyer is the e-commerce team behind one store, often a shop subdomain. Start there, not with central IT.

The US and UK, with a Finnish accent

The United States has 439 matched companies and the United Kingdom 286: together 725 of 1,007, 72%. Australia (37), Canada (36) and South Africa (32) follow. Finland, where Klevu is based, has 20, with Tokmanni the best-known name, and Sweden and Estonia add 18 and 14.

Sales signal: a vendor selling into Klevu's base needs English-language coverage first; the Nordic and Baltic rows are a small second market.

Athos Commerce and the overlap with rivals

In January 2025 Klevu combined with Searchspring under the Athos Commerce name, backed by PSG; Klevu then said it served over 3,000 brands. Our crawl still sees Klevu's own scripts and search endpoints on these stores. Rivals rarely share a domain with it: 37 domains run Klevu and ElasticSuite today (out of 68 ever), 12 run it with Algolia (22 ever), 10 with Searchanise (15 ever) and 7 with Doofinder (11 ever).

Sales signal: a merger is a natural moment for customers to review their contracts. For rival search vendors, Klevu customers up for renewal are a list to watch; for Athos Commerce, the Magento-heavy base is the group to look after.

What it costs

Athos Commerce's pricing page quotes every plan on request: Onsite Discovery (search, merchandising, personalisation), Offsite Discovery (product feeds) and Complete Discovery. Klevu's Adobe Commerce Marketplace listing, still live in October 2026, says the extension is free and subscriptions start at $199 a month with a 14-day trial. The Shopify app is free to install, with charges on top.

Sales signal: quote-only pricing means sales-led renewals, which is when buyers compare. Time competitive outreach to the renewal cycle.
