Companies Using StackAdapt
Our October 2026 crawl finds the StackAdapt pixel on 30,178 live domains. Advertisers put that pixel on their own sites to measure conversions and build retargeting audiences for campaigns they buy through StackAdapt. Publishers don't install it, so every domain here belongs to a brand that advertises, or has advertised, on the platform. Below is the list of companies that use StackAdapt, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes CVS Health, John Deere, Lyft, Wegmans and Fiserv.
StackAdapt was founded in Toronto in 2014, according to its about page, and it shows: Canada is its second country, with about one matched company for every eight in the United States. It ranks 26th in Ad Networks with 0.55%. Among the ad-buying platforms in that table it trails Criteo, The Trade Desk, AdRoll and Simpli.fi and sits well ahead of MNTN. One cluster needs a flag: hundreds of apartment and senior-living sites appear to load it under one shared account.

StackAdapt Usage Statistics
StackAdapt reads 23,250 domains in June 2026, 27,104 in July, 27,178 in August, 29,116 in September and 30,178 in October. The June to July step reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect StackAdapt with, and the set of domains we crawl turns over every month as dead sites drop out and new ones are added. From July to October the line added 3,074 domains. Pixels churn too: 8,905 domains have dropped it since we began tracking removals on 16 March 2026, and about one in nine of those still runs it on another hostname.

Which Countries Use StackAdapt the Most?
Which countries use StackAdapt the most? The United States, with 13,342 matched companies, then Canada (1,581), Australia (1,042), the United Kingdom (835) and New Zealand (229). Canada, StackAdapt's home market, is the tell. There's one Canadian company for every eight or so American ones, while The Trade Desk's September 2026 profile shows 1,225 Canadian to 37,560 American, about one in 31. Outside those five English-speaking countries none reaches 100: Germany has 85 and Singapore 70.
Share of the 18,127 StackAdapt domains we matched to a company record — 60.1% of the 30,178 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
StackAdapt Market Share Among Ad Networks
What is StackAdapt's market share? 0.55% of Ad Networks, 26th in the category, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. That table mixes tags publishers add to sell ad space with pixels advertisers add to measure what they buy. StackAdapt belongs to the second group, and among those buying platforms Criteo has 133,228 domains, The Trade Desk 78,343, AdRoll 47,355, Simpli.fi 38,858, StackAdapt 30,178 and MNTN 8,480.

StackAdapt Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use StackAdapt? Mostly small and mid-sized ones. 63.07% of matched companies with a known size have 50 or fewer employees (33.6% at 1 to 10, 29.47% at 11 to 50), and another 18.21% have 51 to 200. That's less micro than The Trade Desk's profile, where 42.51% sit at 1 to 10. 1,175 companies have more than 1,000 staff, among them CVS Health, Fiserv and Micron, and at big organisations the pixel often sits on one property, such as a careers site or newsroom.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (24.89%), but pre-1960 comes second at 18.11%, ahead of the 2000s (16.7%). Only 7.19% date from the 2020s. In our table, the old end is universities, health systems and manufacturers: the University of Pittsburgh (1787), the University of Manchester (1824), John Deere (1837) and MD Anderson Cancer Center (1944) all load the pixel.
What Industries Use StackAdapt the Most?
Retail leads with 5.02%, then Hospitals and Health Care (4.33%), Real Estate (4.31%), Financial Services (3.51%) and Construction (3.43%), based on our enriched company data. No industry reaches 5.1%, and the top ten add up to about a third of matched companies. Hospitals and medical practices (2.97%) together come to 7.3%, the largest cluster. StackAdapt's advertisers come from almost every sector.
Healthcare organisations using StackAdapt include CVS Health, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Ascension and Baptist Health on their careers sites. Universities on StackAdapt include Purdue's business school, the University of Toronto's Rotman School, Pitt's admissions office and the University of Manchester. Property companies using StackAdapt include hundreds of apartment and senior-living communities, many of them under one shared advertiser account.
StackAdapt Alternatives & Competitors
StackAdapt's real rivals are the other buying platforms whose pixels advertisers install, and many of its sites carry more than one. The Trade Desk runs on 14.4% of StackAdapt domains, and today 2,218 domains also run Simpli.fi, 1,975 run AdRoll and 648 run Criteo. None of these pairs passes our switching tests. About seven in ten domains ever seen with StackAdapt and The Trade Desk still run both, and the rate is similar for AdRoll, Simpli.fi and Criteo, so advertisers stack these platforms rather than swap them.

Expert Analysis: StackAdapt Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I spend a lot of time on ad-tech lists, and the first question on any of them is who pays. For StackAdapt the answer is clean. A domain counts here when its pages load StackAdapt's pixel from srv.stackadapt.com. Advertisers install that pixel to track conversions and build retargeting audiences, and publishers don't, so every one of the 30,178 live domains in our October 2026 crawl is an advertiser-side install. 18,127 are matched to a company. When I loaded the 50 sites in the table on 11 October, 34 fired the pixel; bot walls and timeouts blocked 10, and most of the other six now redirect away from the host we detected.
One pixel, one buyer? Usually
Each StackAdapt pixel reports an advertiser account ID. On five big-brand sites I checked, CVS Health, Mars's careers site, Lenovo's newsroom, Fiserv and Serco, every ID was different, which is what separate buyers look like. Apartments are the exception. Hyly.AI runs on 2.17% of StackAdapt domains and The Conversion Cloud on 2.13%, and both turn up on apartment and senior-living sites. On 7 of the 7 such property sites that loaded, the StackAdapt tag carried the same account ID. If that sample holds, one advertiser account, most likely an agency or marketing platform working for those properties, sits behind several hundred domains. Car dealers look different: of eight dealer sites on Shift Digital's tag manager, two loaded StackAdapt, each with its own ID. The biggest single owner in our data is Culligan, with 35 dealer domains, and the three Culligan sites that loaded the pixel shared one account.
Sales signal: dedupe a StackAdapt list by buyer as well as by domain. The apartment cluster appears to be one account with hundreds of sites, and pitching each property manager reaches people who never chose StackAdapt.
Growth, and how much of it is ours
The chart reads 23,250 domains in June 2026, 27,104 in July, 27,178 in August, 29,116 in September and 30,178 in October. The June to July step of 3,854 reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect StackAdapt with, and the set of domains we crawl turns over every month as dead sites drop out and new ones are added. After July the line kept rising, by 3,074 domains in three months. Exits are high too. 8,905 domains dropped the pixel between 16 March 2026 and October, close to three for every ten live today, and roughly one in nine of them still runs it on another hostname.
"Ad pixels come and go with campaigns, so StackAdapt's exit count looks alarming out of context. What matters is that the line kept rising through it." - Elif Arslan, CMO and Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: a domain that dropped the pixel may only be between campaigns. Treat recent leavers as lapsed advertisers worth a call.
Who buys StackAdapt
63.07% of matched companies with a known size have 50 or fewer employees, against 70.84% on The Trade Desk's profile, and StackAdapt has more mid-sized firms, with 18.21% at 51 to 200 staff. There's a real enterprise tail of 1,175 companies above 1,000 staff, and the pixel often sits on one property: Mars's careers site, Lenovo's and Toyota's newsrooms, Purdue's business school. No industry reaches 5.1%; retail leads at 5.02%, and hospitals plus medical practices add up to 7.3%. Age has two humps, the 2010s at 24.89% and pre-1960 at 18.11%, which takes in the University of Pittsburgh (1787), John Deere (1837) and MD Anderson (1944).
Sales signal: at large organisations the StackAdapt buyer is usually a single marketing team, whether recruiting, enrolment or brand. Find the property the pixel sits on and you've found the team that buys media.
A Canadian tilt
The United States has 13,342 matched companies and Canada 1,581, about one Canadian for every eight American. The Trade Desk's profile shows 1,225 to 37,560, about one in 31, on a much bigger base. Australia (1,042), the United Kingdom (835) and New Zealand (229) follow, and no other country reaches 100. StackAdapt has been based in Toronto since 2014, and its home market shows.
Sales signal: measured against US companies, a StackAdapt list is about three and a half times as Canadian as a Trade Desk list. Canadian agencies and martech vendors should start here; outside the English-speaking markets the list is thin.
Run side by side
Many StackAdapt advertisers buy through more than one platform. The Trade Desk runs on 14.4% of StackAdapt domains, and today 2,218 domains also run Simpli.fi, 1,975 AdRoll, 1,803 Amazon Advertising, 1,167 LinkedIn Ads, 960 MNTN and 648 Criteo. We tested each pair for switching and none passed. About 71% of domains ever seen with StackAdapt and The Trade Desk still run both; for AdRoll it's 66% and for Simpli.fi 74%.
"Seven in ten domains that ever ran StackAdapt and The Trade Desk together still run both. Advertisers add DSPs; they rarely trade one for another." - Elif Arslan, CMO and Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: pitch StackAdapt into accounts that already run The Trade Desk or AdRoll as an added channel. For rivals, the 14.4% overlap is a shortlist of advertisers already comfortable running more than one DSP.
The stack around the pixel
Across the 30,289 live domains left after removing for-sale pages, Google Tag Manager runs on 98.91% and Google Analytics on 97.52%. The ad tags beside StackAdapt show multi-channel buyers: the Facebook Pixel on 79.41%, DoubleClick Floodlight on 59.02%, the LinkedIn Insight Tag on 38.09%, Microsoft Advertising on 33.69%, TikTok's pixel on 19.51% and Reddit Ads on 14.02%. HubSpot runs on 19.02%, Marketo on 3.34% and 6sense on 2.16%, a B2B lead-generation slice beside the consumer advertisers.
Sales signal: a StackAdapt domain is a tag-managed site with paid media spread across several platforms. Attribution, consent and tag-governance vendors will find buyers here who already manage many ad tags.
The company and the price
StackAdapt was founded in Toronto in 2014 by Ildar Shar, Vitaly Pecherskiy and Yang Han. Summit Partners led a $300 million minority investment in 2022 and says it supported a further $235 million round led by Teachers' Venture Growth in 2025. It also says more than 40,000 brands use StackAdapt. There's no public price list on StackAdapt's site. In June 2026 Adweek reported that StackAdapt had dropped the $50,000 minimum it first set for ChatGPT ads, quoting its chief revenue officer: "We have no minimums."
Sales signal: 40,000 brands against 30,178 pixel domains suggests that many StackAdapt buyers run campaigns without a site pixel, or through an agency's account. On part of this list the agency owns the relationship.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses StackAdapt?
Advertisers from almost every sector. Our October 2026 crawl finds StackAdapt's pixel on 30,178 live domains, and no industry reaches 5.1% of matched companies. 63.07% have 50 or fewer staff, yet the list includes CVS Health, John Deere, Lyft, Wegmans, Fiserv and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Canada, StackAdapt's home market, is the second country after the United States.
How many customers does StackAdapt have?
Summit Partners, one of its investors, says more than 40,000 brands use StackAdapt. Our October 2026 crawl finds its pixel on 30,178 live domains, 18,127 matched to a company. Domains aren't brands: one account can run across many sites, as with the apartment sites we found sharing a single ID. Since March 2026, 8,905 domains have dropped the pixel.
What is StackAdapt's market share?
0.55% of Ad Networks, 26th in the category, on 30,178 domains in our live crawl. That table mixes publisher tags with advertiser pixels, so the useful comparison is the buying platforms: Criteo has 133,228 domains, The Trade Desk 78,343, AdRoll 47,355 and Simpli.fi 38,858. StackAdapt is fifth of those, with MNTN (8,480) well behind it.
What are the best alternatives to StackAdapt?
Start with the platforms StackAdapt advertisers already run beside it. The Trade Desk is on 14.4% of StackAdapt domains, and today 2,218 domains also run Simpli.fi, 1,975 AdRoll, 960 MNTN and 648 Criteo. Amazon Advertising (1,803) and LinkedIn Ads (1,167) are the other common pairings. Advertisers run these side by side: most domains ever seen with both still run both.
Which countries use StackAdapt the most?
The United States, with 13,342 matched companies, then Canada (1,581), Australia (1,042), the United Kingdom (835) and New Zealand (229). Canada is high for an ad platform: about one Canadian company per eight American ones, against about one per 31 on The Trade Desk's profile. StackAdapt is based in Toronto. Germany, the largest market outside those five, has only 85.
What size companies use StackAdapt?
Small and mid-sized ones, mostly. 33.6% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 29.47% have 11 to 50, so 63.07% have 50 or fewer. Another 18.21% have 51 to 200. That's less micro than The Trade Desk's profile, at 42.51% for 1 to 10. 1,175 companies have more than 1,000 staff, including CVS Health and Fiserv.
How old are companies that use StackAdapt?
The largest group was founded in the 2010s (24.89%), but organisations founded before 1960 come second at 18.11%, ahead of the 2000s (16.7%). Only 7.19% date from the 2020s. In our table the old end is universities, health systems and manufacturers, such as the University of Pittsburgh (1787), John Deere (1837) and MD Anderson (1944). These shares cover matched companies with a known founding year.
What is the ideal customer profile for StackAdapt?
The ideal StackAdapt customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (33.6%), then 11-50, Location: United States, then Canada, Australia, UK, Founded: 2010-2019 (24.89%), then pre-1960, Industry: Retail, healthcare, real estate, finance, Ad stack: Tag Manager site with Meta Pixel and Floodlight — based on our analysis of 18,127 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.
Is StackAdapt a DSP or SSP?
A DSP. StackAdapt is a demand-side platform: advertisers and agencies use it to buy ads programmatically across native, display, video, connected TV, audio, in-game and email, according to stackadapt.com. Publishers sell their inventory through SSPs instead. That's why the pixel we detect sits on advertisers' own sites, where it measures conversions and builds retargeting audiences.
What is StackAdapt used for?
Buying programmatic ads and measuring them. Marketers plan and run campaigns across channels in StackAdapt, then put its pixel on their own website to track conversions, build retargeting audiences and attribute results. On the 30,178 domains where we find the pixel it rarely works alone: the Facebook Pixel runs on 79.41% of them and LinkedIn's Insight Tag on 38.09%.

That covers self-serve ChatGPT campaigns; Adweek's report doesn't cover StackAdapt's other channels.

What is the StackAdapt pixel?
It's the tag advertisers add to their own site to measure StackAdapt campaigns. The script loads from tags.srv.stackadapt.com and reports each visit under the advertiser's account ID, which StackAdapt uses for conversion tracking and retargeting. Each large brand site we opened carried its own ID. The apartment and senior-living sites we opened all shared one, the mark of a single account running many properties.
