Companies Using ShipStation
Our August 2026 crawl finds 180 domains using ShipStation, every one of them a store that publishes a link to its ShipStation-hosted returns portal. Brands that use ShipStation include Unrivaled, Tennier Industries, EF Collection and Fajate. Below is the full list of companies using ShipStation, with industry, size and country drawn from 88 enriched company profiles.
Read that 180 as a floor rather than a customer count. ShipStation's core job, importing orders and printing labels, happens inside a dashboard the merchant logs into, and it leaves nothing behind on the storefront. The one part of the product that does touch the public web is the branded returns portal, and only merchants who both enable it and link to it can be counted. Among the returns portals we can see this way, AfterShip's Returns Center appears on 1,706 domains against ShipStation's 180, and the top companies using ShipStation are overwhelmingly small Shopify merchants.

ShipStation Usage Statistics
How many websites use ShipStation? Our current crawl records 180 active domains in August 2026, up from 152 in June, the first month this signal was fully covered. Those three points are a coverage ramp settling into place rather than three months of adoption, and the +4 move from July to August is the first that reflects the market instead of our own onboarding. Counts here are not a like-for-like series over time: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly discovered ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The signal itself is unusually stable once seen. Across active domains the link is present on 99.6% of scans, because it is a plain anchor in the page rather than a script that has to load.

There are 180 companies and websites using ShipStation, sign up to download the entire ShipStation dataset.
Here are some of the most recognisable companies using ShipStation and brands using ShipStation in 2026:
- Unrivaled – the Miami-based women's professional basketball league, running the portal on its merchandise store
- Tennier Industries – Tennessee military and outdoor apparel manufacturer, and the only company in this set above 200 employees
- EF Collection – Los Angeles fine jewellery brand
- Fajate – Colombian shapewear group, and the largest single operator in our data with twelve storefronts on one ShipStation account
- Montana State Bobcats – university athletics merchandise store
- ACOPOWER – portable solar and power equipment brand, running eight country storefronts plus its LionCooler site from a single account
Which Countries Use ShipStation the Most?
Where are companies using ShipStation located? The base is heavily American: 68 of the 86 companies with a country on file are in the United States, or 79.07%, with Canada (5) and the United Kingdom (4) next. That fits a product whose label-buying economics are built around domestic US carriers. The sample is small enough that the tail, single companies in Latvia, Colombia, Mexico and the UAE, should be read as presence rather than as share.
ShipStation Market Share Among Shipping, Fulfillment & Returns
What is ShipStation's market share? It sits at 0.04% of the Shipping, Fulfillment & Returns category and ranks #64 of the 100 technologies we track there, which is a number worth reading carefully. That category holds three different kinds of thing measured three different ways: carriers such as UPS and FedEx, which we match by name where a store names them; post-purchase apps such as Redo and ReturnGO, which we match by the script they install; and branded portals such as ShipStation and AfterShip Returns Center, which we match by the link a store publishes. A single ranking across all three does not compare like with like. The comparison that does hold is against AfterShip Returns Center, which we detect exactly the same way ShipStation is detected, by an outbound link to a vendor-hosted returns page. On that shared footing AfterShip leads 1,706 to 180, a gap of roughly nine to one.
Top Competitors by Market Share
ShipStation Customers by Company Size & Age
Is ShipStation only for small businesses? On this evidence, almost entirely. 68.29% of the companies we matched have ten or fewer employees and another 26.83% fall in the 11 to 50 band, so 95.12% of the base sits under 50 people, from 82 companies with an employee count on file. Exactly one company in the set exceeds 200 staff: Tennier Industries, a Tennessee military apparel manufacturer in the 501 to 1,000 band. That shape is what you would expect from a self-service returns portal, which is a feature a small team switches on for itself rather than something an enterprise buys through procurement.

Company Age (Founded Decade)
What Industries Use ShipStation the Most?
What kinds of companies use ShipStation? Physical goods, and mostly things people try on. Apparel and fashion leads at 20.63%, general retail follows at 19.05%, and the two together account for four in ten of the 63 companies with an industry on file. Manufacturing (6.35%) and sports and recreation (6.35%) come next.
The industry mix reads as a returns-rate ranking more than a shipping-volume one. Apparel is the category where customers routinely order two sizes intending to send one back, which is exactly the workflow a branded returns portal exists to absorb. Jewellery (4.76%) and consumer electronics (3.17%) follow the same logic: high value per parcel, and a buyer who wants to see a returns policy before checking out.
The outliers are more interesting than the head. Sports and recreation at 6.35% is not general sporting goods but team merchandise, including a professional basketball league and a university athletics store, where a seasonal rush of sized apparel produces the same returns problem in a compressed window.
ShipStation Alternatives & Competitors
Who are ShipStation's competitors? For the part of ShipStation we can measure, the returns portal, the rivals are post-purchase apps rather than carriers. Redo (4,124 domains) and Loop Returns (3,530) lead, followed by AfterShip Returns Center (1,706), ReturnGO (1,375) and Returnflows (613). Only AfterShip Returns Center is detected the same way ShipStation is, so it is the one comparison that needs no adjustment. Redo, ReturnGO and Returnflows install a script, which is a more reliable thing to detect than a link and will tend to find installations that a link-based rule misses. Note that these tools are not mutually exclusive in practice: 8 ShipStation domains also run AfterShip Returns Center and 7 also run Loop Returns, which is usually a migration in progress or an old portal nobody unlinked.
| Technology | Domains | Market Share |

ShipStation Customer Migration
Across the churn we have observed directly there is almost nothing to report, and saying so is more useful than filling the table. We have watched 15 domains drop the ShipStation portal link since 13 June 2026, and of those exactly one moved to a returns product we track, Mulberry. One domain arrived from Redo. The other 14 did not switch to a competing portal at all; they simply stopped publishing the link. For a link-based signal that is the expected outcome, because a theme change or a footer redesign removes the evidence without the merchant cancelling anything. Treat these two rows as observations, not as a trend.
| Competitor | Gained | Lost | Net |
|---|---|---|---|
Redo | +1 | 0 | +1 |

Tech Stack of ShipStation-Powered Websites
Based on 182 active domains in our current crawl, this is a Shopify population with very little ambiguity: 69.78% also run Shopify and 62.64% run Shop Pay, against 17.58% on WooCommerce. Payments are stacked deep, with PayPal at 63.19% and Apple Pay at 59.89%, which is the signature of a checkout tuned for consumer conversion. The retention layer is the useful part for anyone selling here: Klaviyo appears on 37.36% and Klaviyo Reviews on 30.77%, so a merchant who has bothered to publish a returns portal has usually also invested in lifecycle email and review collection.

Expert Analysis: ShipStation Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

ShipStation is the clearest example I have on this site of a gap between what a company sells and what a web crawler can see. Auctane's shipping platform is used by a very large number of merchants. Our August 2026 crawl finds it on 180 domains. Both of those statements are true, and reconciling them is the whole job of this page.
The reconciliation starts with the detection rule. We identify ShipStation when a page contains a link pointing at track.shipstation.com. There is no script, no cookie, no header and no JavaScript global, because ShipStation does not put any of those on a merchant's storefront. It does not need to. The product lives in a dashboard where a merchant imports orders from Shopify, Amazon and eBay, compares carrier rates, and prints labels. That work happens entirely between the merchant and the vendor. A crawler standing outside the shop window sees none of it.
A detection count answers the question the detection rule asks, not the question you wanted to ask. Here the rule asks: does this store publish a link to its ShipStation returns page? It does not ask whether the store uses ShipStation.
What the rule does catch is the one piece of ShipStation that faces the public: the branded returns portal. When we read the anchor text on the domains we detect, the picture is unambiguous. Of the 101 links whose text we could read cleanly, 92 say some version of return or exchange, phrases like Start a Return, Returns Portal and Submit Return or Exchange. Only 6 mention tracking, despite the hostname. Every URL sits on the same returns path. So this profile is not really a census of ShipStation users at all. It is a census of merchants who turned the returns portal on and then linked to it from their storefront, which is a strict subset of a strict subset.
That makes 180 a floor. I want to be precise about what kind of floor, because floors are still useful. This one is not a sample, because it is not random: it systematically over-represents merchants who care about post-purchase experience and under-represents everyone who prints labels quietly and sends customers to the carrier's own tracking page instead. If you are selling returns tooling, retention software or logistics services, that bias runs in your favour. If you are trying to size ShipStation's business, it does not.
The signal itself is unusually clean
Narrow is not the same as noisy, and this rule is remarkably precise. Across active domains, the link is present on 99.6% of scans. That is close to the highest determinism I have seen on this site, and the reason is structural: an anchor tag is static HTML. It cannot fail to load, it cannot be deferred behind a consent banner, and it cannot be blocked by an ad blocker. Compare that with a tag-based detection, where a third of sightings can vanish because a script fired late or a cookie banner suppressed it.
I re-checked the whole set against the live web rather than trusting the index. Of 182 domains, 166 still publish the portal link, 4 blocked the request outright, and 12 no longer show it. That is a 93% live-confirmation rate on responsive hosts, and it means the named companies further down this page are not archaeology.
Counting domains is not counting customers
Here is the finding I did not expect. Each portal link carries an opaque account token, which is effectively a tenant identifier. Reading those tokens across the confirmed domains gives 117 distinct ShipStation accounts behind 166 domains, a ratio of 1.42 to 1.
What makes that worth stating is how badly the obvious shortcut fails. If you cluster these domains by brand name, the way most technographic datasets do, you get 1.09 to 1 and conclude that domains and accounts are nearly interchangeable. The token says otherwise, because the largest operators deliberately trade under different names. One Colombian shapewear group runs twelve storefronts, cysm.com, fajate.com, colombiaysumoda.com and nine more, all on one account. That single merchant is 7% of our entire ShipStation footprint. ACOPOWER runs eight country domains plus a separate LionCooler brand on another single account. A merch fulfiler serves two unrelated bands from one portal.
Grouping by company name looks cleanest precisely when the names are the disguise. The only reliable way to count accounts is to find the vendor's own tenant identifier and count that.
Reading the category ranking honestly
ShipStation records 0.04% share and ranks #64 in Shipping, Fulfillment and Returns. I would not put much weight on either number, and it is worth explaining why rather than quietly publishing them. That category contains three different kinds of technology detected three different ways. Carriers such as UPS and FedEx are matched where a page names them, which measures who a store says it ships with. Post-purchase apps such as Redo, ReturnGO and Returnflows are matched by the script they install, which measures real installations. Portals such as ShipStation and AfterShip Returns Center are matched by an outbound link. Ranking all three on one axis compares a mention, an installation and a hyperlink as though they were the same evidence.
There is exactly one clean comparison available, and it is a good one. AfterShip Returns Center is detected by the identical rule shape, an outbound link to a vendor-hosted returns page, for an identical product. On that shared footing the split is 1,706 to 180, roughly nine to one in AfterShip's favour. Since both numbers are floors produced by the same mechanism, the ratio between them survives the caveat that neither absolute figure does. Among merchants who publish a branded returns portal, AfterShip's is far more common.
Who these merchants actually are
The population is tight and easy to describe. 95.12% of matched companies have fewer than 50 employees and 68.29% have ten or fewer. 79.07% are American. 69.78% run Shopify. Apparel and general retail together account for four in ten. The typical entry is a US Shopify store with a handful of staff selling clothing or accessories, and the reason it has a returns portal is that customers order two sizes and send one back.
The exceptions are the interesting part. Unrivaled, the women's professional basketball league, runs the portal on its merchandise store. Montana State's athletics shop does the same. Tennier Industries, a military apparel manufacturer and the only company here above 200 staff, sits oddly beside them. What connects a basketball league to a defence contractor is not shipping volume but returns rate: all three sell sized apparel in seasonal bursts.
What this is good for
At TechnologyChecker.io we would rather publish a small number we can defend than a large one we cannot. For prospecting, this list is genuinely high quality despite its size, because every entry is a merchant who has already decided post-purchase experience is worth configuring. Those are not cold names. The stack data sharpens it further: Klaviyo on 37.36% and Klaviyo Reviews on 30.77% mark the merchants who invest in retention rather than just fulfilment.
The discipline is in how you read an absence. A brand missing from this list is not a brand that avoids ShipStation. It is a brand whose ShipStation usage, if any, stays behind the dashboard where we cannot see it. Every count on TechnologyChecker.io answers the question its detection rule asks, and on this page that question is narrow enough that we say so before we say anything else.

How many websites use ShipStation?
Our August 2026 crawl finds ShipStation on 180 active domains. That figure counts stores that publish a link to a ShipStation-hosted returns portal, which is the only part of the product visible from outside. Order import and label printing happen in a dashboard that leaves no trace on a storefront, so the real customer base is larger than 180.
Why is the ShipStation count so much lower than its actual customer base?
Because we can only count what a website shows us. ShipStation is back-office software: a merchant logs in, imports orders and prints labels, and none of that touches the public site. The exception is the branded returns portal, which merchants link from their footer or menu. Our 180 counts stores that both enabled that portal and published the link.
What type of businesses use ShipStation?
Small physical-goods sellers. Apparel and fashion leads at 20.63% of the 63 companies with an industry on file, general retail follows at 19.05%, and manufacturing and sports merchandise tie at 6.35%. The common thread is sized or high-value items that customers return often enough to justify a self-service portal.
How big are the companies using ShipStation?
Very small. Of 82 companies with an employee count on file, 68.29% have ten or fewer staff and 26.83% have 11 to 50, so 95.12% sit under 50 people. Exactly one company in the set exceeds 200 employees: Tennier Industries, a military apparel manufacturer in the 501 to 1,000 band.
Which ecommerce platform do ShipStation users run?
Shopify, by a wide margin. Of the 182 domains in our current crawl, 69.78% also run Shopify and 62.64% run Shop Pay, against 17.58% on WooCommerce. That concentration reflects where ShipStation's returns portal integrates most cleanly, and it makes Shopify the practical qualifier for anyone building a prospect list from this data.
Where are companies using ShipStation located?
Overwhelmingly in the United States. Of 86 companies with a country on file, 68 are American, or 79.07%, followed by Canada with 5 and the United Kingdom with 4. That distribution follows the product's economics, since ShipStation's discounted label rates are built around domestic US carriers.
Who are ShipStation's main competitors?
For the returns portal specifically, the rivals are post-purchase apps rather than carriers. Redo leads at 4,124 domains, then Loop Returns at 3,530, AfterShip Returns Center at 1,706, ReturnGO at 1,375 and Returnflows at 613. AfterShip Returns Center is the closest comparison because we detect it the same way.
Is ShipStation losing customers to competitors?
We have no evidence of that. Since 13 June 2026 we have watched 15 domains stop publishing the ShipStation portal link, and only one of them adopted a competing returns product we track. The other 14 simply removed the link, which a theme change can do without the merchant cancelling anything.
How reliable is ShipStation detection?
Very, within its narrow scope. On active domains the portal link is present in 99.6% of scans, because it is a plain anchor tag in the page rather than a script that has to load and can be blocked. We also re-checked all 182 domains live while building this page and confirmed 166 of them.
Does one company ever run ShipStation on several domains?
Yes, and it matters for counting. Each portal link carries an account token, and reading those across the confirmed domains gives 117 distinct ShipStation accounts behind 166 domains, a ratio of 1.42 to 1. One Colombian shapewear group alone runs twelve storefronts under different brand names on a single account.
What else do companies using ShipStation have in their stack?
A conversion-focused Shopify setup. PayPal appears on 63.19% of domains and Apple Pay on 59.89%, while Google Analytics reaches 76.92% and Google Tag Manager 74.73%. The retention layer is the useful qualifier for sales teams: Klaviyo runs on 37.36% and Klaviyo Reviews on 30.77%, so these merchants already invest in lifecycle email and review collection rather than fulfilment alone.
Can I use this list for sales prospecting?
Yes, with the right framing. These are confirmed ecommerce merchants who have already invested in post-purchase experience, which qualifies them for returns, logistics and retention tooling. Because the list is a floor rather than a census, treat an absent brand as unknown rather than as evidence it does not use ShipStation.
Do merchants run ShipStation alongside other returns portals?
Sometimes. Of the 182 domains in our crawl, 8 also run AfterShip Returns Center and 7 also run Loop Returns. That usually means a migration in progress or an old portal that nobody removed from the footer, so a store appearing under two vendors is not necessarily paying for both.
