Companies Using LINE Tag

LINE Tag is the measurement script behind LINE's advertising, and the first thing our October 2026 crawl shows is where LINE lives. A domain counts here when a page loads the tag from line-scdn.net/n/line_tag/. That gives 11,128 live domains, 2,704 matched to a company, 13th of 82 in Attribution & Conversion Tracking with 0.19%. LY Corporation provides the tag, according to its LINE Tag Usage Guidelines, and in Japan it has sold LINE Ads and Yahoo! Ads as one product, LINE Yahoo Ads, since 1 April 2026.

Three markets, one tag

1,637 of the matched companies are Japanese, 371 Thai and 310 Taiwanese: 2,318 of 2,704, or 85.73%. The United States has 62. That map matters because the Japanese side of the list now buys LINE through the merged LINE Yahoo Ads, while the Thai and Taiwanese side works with LINE's local business units, which LY lists separately. The named Thai and Taiwanese users are big consumer brands: Taiwan Mobile, Lotus's, Bumrungrad hospital, Gogoro, FamilyMart Taiwan's online mart.

Sales signal: split the list by country before you pitch. A Japanese ads row now sits in a merged LY platform; a Thai or Taiwanese row buys LINE on its own.

Two buyers share the tag

LINE issues the same tag from two places. LINE Ads uses it to measure and retarget ads, and LINE Official Account Manager issues it so a business can see which chat messages led to sales. The snippet says which. In our browser sample, 30 of 67 tagged pages declared a LINE Ads tag and 21 an Official Account tag; the other 16 didn't show the snippet in the page, so we couldn't read the type. We read 51 tag IDs on 51 pages, all different, so no agency or platform is reusing one tag across sites.

Sales signal: the Official Account half of this list is a CRM and messaging audience, not an ads audience. Vendors of LINE chat tools, coupons and loyalty should start there.

Growth, and what it isn't

The chart reads 8,410 domains in August 2026, 10,765 in September and 11,128 in October. The step between August and September reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect the tag with, rather than a surge in adoption: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month. Since tracking began on 4 August 2026, 756 domains have dropped the tag on at least one hostname, and a re-check found 238 of 757 such domains still running it elsewhere on the site.

Sales signal: this is a steady base of about 11,000 sites in three markets, not a fast-growing segment.

Who the advertisers are

Size is spread evenly across the small bands: 26.19% of matched companies with a known size have 51 to 200 staff, 25.33% have 11 to 50 and 23.55% have 1 to 10. 183 have more than 1,000, including Philips and Celestica on their careers sites, NYK Line, Taiwan Mobile and Lotus's. The 2010s are the biggest founding decade at 32.89%, and 8.17% were founded in the 2020s. By industry, Retail leads at 7.32%, then Real Estate (4.29%) and IT services (3.99%), with Higher Education (3.19%) and Financial Services (2.69%) in the top ten: Assumption University, RMIT Vietnam, Kiatnakin Phatra Bank, AEON Thailand and Roojai.

Sales signal: Thai banks, insurers and universities don't show up among Yahoo! JAPAN Ads' top industries. Their LINE tags make them prospects for LINE-integrated CRM and service tools.

Running beside Yahoo, Meta and Google

6,018 domains run LINE Tag and Yahoo! JAPAN Ads' tag today, 54.2% of LINE's 11,104 clean domains. 9,302 also load Facebook Pixel, 4,109 Google Ads Conversion Tracking and 3,217 TikTok Pixel. None of these pairs looks like switching: most domains ever seen with both still run both. In Japan the Yahoo overlap is now one vendor's two tags, so the merged LINE Yahoo Ads account sits on top of two measurement scripts.

Sales signal: advertisers running both LY tags plus Meta and Google need cross-network attribution. Conversion-API and attribution vendors with LINE and Yahoo connectors have an obvious list here.

The stack around it

Across the 11,104 clean domains, Google Analytics is on 98.29%. Twitter Ads (30.24%), Microsoft Advertising (22.79%), the Japanese data firm Intimate Merger (14.48%) and Criteo (13.44%) show how many networks these advertisers buy from. WordPress is on 33.23%. Consent tools are rare for a tag whose guidelines require sites to notify visitors and obtain consent: OneTrust runs on 1.66% and Thailand's CookieWow on 0.55%. And 6.38% still call the Yahoo! JAPAN Tag manager that LY closed in June 2024.

Sales signal: LINE's guidelines put the notice and consent duty on the site, and few of these sites run a consent manager. That's a compliance opening, especially for Thai sites.

What it costs

The tag is free to install. LY for Business says LINE Ads has no fixed price, no initial cost and no minimum spend; advertisers set and cap their own budgets and pay once ads deliver.
