Companies Using Recruitee
Our live crawl identifies 2,252 domains running Recruitee, resolving to 1,725 identifiable organisations. Named users include McLaren, BenQ, Vion Food Group, Julius Berger Nigeria, Ballast Nedam, Boulangerie Ange, Better Collective, Affidea and Van Mossel.
What we detect is a careers page. Recruitee publishes vacancies on the employer's own domain, so the signal lands on hosts like racingcareers.mclaren.com and www.boulangerie-ange.fr, and on Dutch careers subdomains such as werkenbij.vanmossel.nl. That shapes every number below. This page measures the recruiting surface a company puts on the public web, not seats in an HR system, and an employer whose hiring sits behind a login stays invisible to it.
The base is European from the inside out. The Netherlands accounts for 546 of the companies we could locate, 32.4%, and Germany 386, 22.91%, so two countries carry 55.31% of the located base. Belgium adds 7.42% and France 5.46%. The United States is third on 8.72%. Recruitee ranks 7th in HR & Recruitment with 3.65% share, below WP Job Openings (31.1%), Rippling (12.94%) and BambooHR (9.13%).
31 domains dropped Recruitee while running SmartRecruiters, and 24 of those moved in the last 30 days. We publish that corridor because only 16.7% of the domains that ever carried both signals still carry both, well inside the 40% ceiling we require. Applicant tracking is one of the few categories where a switch is really a switch: a company runs one careers page, so a new system replaces the old one instead of sitting beside it.

Recruitee Usage Statistics
Recruitee reads 2,010 domains on our June 2026 rollup, 2,243 in July and 2,252 in August, a gain of 12.04% across the window. Read that as a trend rather than a same-store comparison: the domain set we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly discovered ones coming in, and our detection signals widen over time. The August figure is the one quoted at the top of this page.

Which Countries Use Recruitee the Most?
The Netherlands leads with 546 located companies, 32.4% of the geographic base, and Germany follows on 386, 22.91%. Belgium adds 125 (7.42%) and France 92 (5.46%). The nine European countries in our top twelve account for 1,335 companies, 79.23% of the located base, while the United States reaches 147 (8.72%) and Canada 25 (1.48%). This is a Benelux product that expanded east and south rather than west.
Share of the 1,725 Recruitee domains we matched to a company record — 76.6% of the 2,252 we detect. Top 12 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Recruitee Market Share Among HR & Recruitment
Recruitee holds 3.65% of HR & Recruitment and ranks 7th. The rows above it are not all the same kind of product. WP Job Openings on 31.1% is a WordPress plugin that publishes a job list, while Rippling (12.94%), BambooHR (9.13%) and Paylocity (6.48%) sell a whole HR or payroll suite. Among tools built first as applicant tracking systems, Recruitee's nearest neighbours are Teamtailor (5.83%) and Personio (3.78%).
Top Competitors by Market Share
Recruitee Customers by Company Size & Age
1,625 of the 1,725 matched companies report a size band, and the distribution peaks in the middle rather than at the bottom. 33.17% employ 11 to 50 people and 25.54% employ 51 to 200, so 58.71% of the base sits between 11 and 200 staff. The 1-to-10 band is third at 24.74%, and only 77 companies, 4.74%, employ more than 1,000.

What Industries Use Recruitee the Most?
IT Services and IT Consulting leads at 6.48%, Software Development follows at 5.73% and Financial Services at 4.36%. No sector reaches 7%, and the ten rows here together account for 35.26% of the 1,605 companies with a recorded industry. Hospitals and Health Care (3.24%), Hospitality (2.87%) and Construction (2.37%) sit close behind the technology rows.
Technology companies using Recruitee are the largest cluster once related labels are added together: IT Services and IT Consulting (6.48%), Software Development (5.73%) and Technology, Information and Internet (3.05%) come to 15.26%. Healthcare providers on Recruitee are the second cluster, with Hospitals and Health Care (3.24%) and Medical Practices (2.18%) at 5.42% combined, and Dutch care organisations such as Rivierduinen and GGZ Oost Brabant appear in the named list below. Staffing and Recruiting at 2.18% is the row to watch, because those are agencies hiring on behalf of other employers.
Recruitee Alternatives & Competitors
WP Job Openings leads HR & Recruitment on 19,192 domains and 31.1% share, but it is a WordPress plugin that publishes vacancies, so it competes at the smallest end of the market. Rippling (7,983 domains) and BambooHR (5,633) are HR suites and Paylocity (4,002) is payroll first. The honest comparison is Teamtailor on 3,600 domains and Personio on 2,330: European, careers-page led, and selling to the same mid-sized employers.

Tech Stack of Recruitee-Powered Websites
Recruitee domains look like ordinary corporate websites rather than a distinct product ecosystem. Google Tag Manager appears on 71.52% of them, jQuery on 66.34%, Google Analytics on 62.85% and core-js on 56.46%. WordPress reaches 39.63% and Yoast SEO 25.58%, so roughly two in five of these careers pages sit next to a WordPress marketing site. The most useful row is Microsoft 365 at 36.52% against Google Workspace at 19.94%, a Microsoft-first workplace, which is what European mid-market employers tend to run.

Expert Analysis: Recruitee Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

The one corridor worth publishing
Most technology profiles on this site end their migration section with an apology. We look for domains that dropped one product while running a competitor, find a handful or a few thousand, then discover that most of those domains still run both and quietly kill the section. Recruitee is the exception in this batch. 31 domains dropped Recruitee while running SmartRecruiters, and of every domain that has ever carried both signals, only 16.7% still carries both. Our publishing threshold is 40% or below. This one clears it with room to spare.
24 of those 31 moves landed in the last 30 days, which changes how the number should be read. This is not settled history reported late. It is something happening now, on a small base, and a small recent number deserves another look next month rather than a conclusion today.
A 16.7% still-both share is what a real switch looks like. Most of what our raw queries return as switching is two products sitting side by side, and we throw nearly all of it away.
Why hiring software switches when payment software does not
The reason is structural, and worth stating because it explains why this section exists here and almost nowhere else. A company runs one careers page. When it adopts a new applicant tracking system, the new system takes over the URL candidates land on and the old one loses its only public surface. There is no version of that transition where both stay in place for long.
Compare the categories where coexistence is the norm. On our Recharge profile, 84.7% of the domains that ever ran both Recharge and Seal Subscriptions still run both. A merchant can put one subscription app on a product line and leave another running elsewhere. Analytics behaves the same way, because a second tag costs nothing and breaks nothing. Applicant tracking has no such slack, which is why a 31-domain corridor here carries more information than a four-figure overlap in payments.
The practical consequence for anyone selling into this market: a Recruitee domain seen next to a rival's signal is a live situation, because the two rarely sit together for long. In payments the same observation would mean nothing at all.
A European base, and not the usual one
The Netherlands accounts for 32.4% of the companies we could locate and Germany 22.91%, together 55.31% of the located base. Belgium adds 7.42% and France 5.46%. The United States is third at 8.72%, which for software of this size inverts the normal pattern. Nine European countries sit in our top twelve and carry 1,335 companies between them, 79.23% of the located base.
That shape is the product's advantage and its ceiling at once. Recruitee sells where it understands the hiring norms: Dutch and German employment practice, works councils, the two-language careers page. The named list makes it concrete. 12 of the 34 companies below are Dutch, and six of those twelve are care providers: Rivierduinen, Kwintes, GGZ Oost Brabant, Zozijn, Bartimeus and Affidea. Dutch care organisations hire constantly and in volume, and a careers page is the front door of that pipeline. Personio and Teamtailor are the other European systems we profile, and both concentrate the same way around their home markets.
The band that is missing
Put the size distribution next to almost any other self-serve software profile on this site and one band is conspicuously thin. 33.17% of matched Recruitee companies employ 11 to 50 people and 25.54% employ 51 to 200, so 58.71% sit in the middle. The 1-to-10 band is third at 24.74%. On our Recharge profile the same band is 64.44%.
A ten-person company does not need an applicant tracking system. It hires three people a year and runs the process out of a shared inbox. The tool starts paying for itself around the point where hiring becomes a habit rather than an event, and that threshold shows up in our data as the 11-to-50 peak. Above 1,000 employees the base thins fast, to 77 companies, 4.74% of the matched set, which is where the enterprise HR suites take over.
The 1-to-10 band is where most software lives and where applicant tracking does not. Hiring has to become continuous before software for it is worth buying.
Old companies buying new software
40.55% of matched companies were founded in the 2010s, which reads like any modern software base until you look at the other end of the curve. 21.49% were founded before 1990 and 9.27% before 1960. Ballast Nedam dates to 1877, Castolin Eutectic to 1906, Bartimeus to 1915, Keune to 1922, Vion's roots to 1934, Boggi Milano to 1939, Van Mossel to 1949.
Those are not digital-native buyers. They are established European employers who replaced a careers page an agency built for them, and they behave differently from a startup buyer: slower to choose, much slower to leave, and more likely to be won on the candidate experience in their own language than on anything in the API.
What this page measures, and what it does not
Detection here is a careers page. The signal sits on hosts like racingcareers.mclaren.com and www.boulangerie-ange.fr, and on Dutch careers subdomains such as werkenbij.vanmossel.nl and werkenbij.zozijn.nl. Five of the 34 named detections resolve to a careers-specific subdomain and a sixth, werkenbijbartimeus.nl, is a careers site registered as its own domain. So this counts public recruiting surface, not HR seats, spend or hires.
The count also moves for two reasons that have nothing to do with Recruitee's sales team: the domain set we crawl turns over every month as dead sites drop out and newly discovered ones come in, and our detection signals widen over time. 2,010 domains in June, 2,243 in July, 2,252 in August is a trend line, not a same-store comparison. Our records since mid-March also show 275 domains that lost the signal, which is churn observed inside the current window rather than a lifetime total.
What to take from this
If you sell to Recruitee's base, you are selling to a Dutch or German employer with 11 to 200 staff that hires continuously, runs Microsoft 365 more often than Google Workspace (36.52% against 19.94%), and probably keeps a WordPress marketing site beside the careers page (39.63%). If you compete with Recruitee, the SmartRecruiters corridor is the only movement on this page worth acting on, and 24 of its 31 domains moved inside the last month. TechnologyChecker.io will keep watching whether that holds through the next rollup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Recruitee?
Our live crawl finds Recruitee on 2,252 domains, resolving to 1,725 identifiable organisations. Named users include McLaren, BenQ, Vion Food Group, Ballast Nedam, Boulangerie Ange and Julius Berger Nigeria. The typical user is smaller and European: 33.17% employ 11 to 50 people, and the Netherlands alone accounts for 32.4% of the companies we could locate.
How many customers does Recruitee have?
We detect Recruitee on 2,252 active domains as of our August 2026 rollup, of which 1,725 resolve to a company record. Counts are domains rather than accounts. One employer running both a main site and a careers subdomain can appear twice, and an employer whose careers page we never reach does not appear at all. Read the figure as deployed careers pages.
What is Recruitee's market share?
Recruitee holds 3.65% of our HR & Recruitment category and ranks 7th, on 2,252 domains. That rank mixes product types: WP Job Openings (31.1%) is a WordPress job plugin, while Rippling (12.94%) and BambooHR (9.13%) are broad HR suites. Against dedicated applicant tracking systems, Teamtailor (5.83%) and Personio (3.78%) are the near neighbours.
What are the best alternatives to Recruitee?
By deployment the alternatives are WP Job Openings (19,192 domains), Rippling (7,983), BambooHR (5,633), Paylocity (4,002), Teamtailor (3,600) and Personio (2,330). For a European mid-market employer, Teamtailor and Personio are the closest comparison. SmartRecruiters is smaller at 1,187 live domains, but it is the destination we actually observe Recruitee domains moving to.
Which countries use Recruitee the most?
The Netherlands leads with 546 located companies, 32.4% of the geographic base, followed by Germany on 386 (22.91%), the United States on 147 (8.72%), Belgium on 125 (7.42%) and France on 92 (5.46%). The nine European countries in our top twelve account for 1,335 companies, 79.23% of the located base.
What size companies use Recruitee?
33.17% of matched Recruitee companies employ 11 to 50 people and 25.54% employ 51 to 200, so 58.71% sit between 11 and 200 staff. The 1-to-10 band is third at 24.74%, which is unusual for self-serve software. Only 77 companies, 4.74% of the matched base, employ more than 1,000 people.
How old are companies that use Recruitee?
40.55% of matched companies were founded in the 2010s and 12.74% in the 2020s, so a little over half post-date 2010. The rest is older than a software base usually runs: 21.49% were founded before 1990, including 9.27% before 1960. Recruitee sells to established European employers as readily as to young ones.
What is the ideal customer profile for Recruitee?
A European employer with 11 to 50 staff, most often in the Netherlands, Germany or Belgium, founded in the 2010s, hiring often enough to need a careers page it can change without a developer. Sector matters less than tempo: technology, healthcare, hospitality and construction all appear, and no single industry passes 7%.
Do companies switch from Recruitee to another applicant tracking system?
Yes, and it is the one corridor we publish here. 31 domains dropped Recruitee while running SmartRecruiters, 24 of them within the last 30 days. We publish it because only 16.7% of domains that ever carried both signals still carry both, comfortably below the 40% ceiling we require before calling an overlap a migration rather than coexistence.
Is Recruitee mostly used in Europe?
Yes. The Netherlands (32.4%) and Germany (22.91%) alone are 55.31% of the companies we could locate, and the nine European countries in our top twelve reach 79.23%. The United States is third on 8.72%. Personio and Teamtailor, the other European systems we profile, are concentrated the same way; the American-led systems we track are not.
What does a Recruitee detection actually mean?
It means a careers page on that domain was built with Recruitee and we reached it in our live crawl, as at racingcareers.mclaren.com or www.boulangerie-ange.fr. It measures the public recruiting surface, not HR seats or spend. Careers pages behind a login, and hiring run entirely on a vendor-hosted domain, stay outside this count.
Why does Recruitee show real switching when payment and analytics tools do not?
Because a company runs one careers page. A second applicant tracking system has nowhere to sit, so adopting one usually means removing another, which is why the still-both share here is 16.7%. Payment and analytics stacks are additive: on our Recharge profile, 84.7% of domains that ever ran both Recharge and Seal Subscriptions still run both.
