Companies Using CJ Affiliate

CJ has been selling affiliate tracking since 1998, so I expected a clean list of big advertisers when I pulled it from our October 2026 crawl. It took two cuts to get one. A domain counts when it loads CJ's advertiser site tag from mczbf.com. The tag turns up on 4,695 domains, and after removing gambling and redirect pages and a fleet of copied Bonanza pages, 2,570 live domains remain, 1,057 of them matched to a company, 23rd of 96 in Affiliate & Referral with 0.81%.

Why 4,695 became 2,570

Our title filter took out 843 pages, mostly Indonesian slot and lottery sites. The bigger problem was one account. CJ's tag address includes the advertiser's tag ID, and the ID that bonanza.com loads was on more than 1,100 other domains. Five of the six we opened were gambling sites built from copies of Bonanza's marketplace pages, with Bonanza's CJ, Microsoft, Pinterest and Floodlight tags still in them and titles that were blank or stale. That fingerprint matched 1,987 domains, 705 of them already caught by the title filter, so the cut removed 1,282 more. bonanza.com stays.

Accounts, not domains

Even after the cuts, one account often covers many domains. On the 1,731 domains where the tag ID is readable there are 818 IDs. Wyndham runs one across its hotel brands, Slack's covers slack.com and its short domains, and a VPN service runs one on 92 mirror domains. Misspelled domains of a department store and a flower retailer redirect to the real sites through CJ links whose tracking parameters name Corsearch, so they show up as extra advertiser domains.

Sales signal: one CJ account at a hotel group or retailer can sit behind a dozen rows. Prospect the account, not each domain.

No trend line yet

We began tracking CJ's site tag on 4 August 2026, so the usage chart has one point, October's 2,570. In those ten weeks 2,601 domains dropped it on at least one hostname, and 233 still run it on another. That count covers every domain the tag was seen on, the removed copies included, and the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, so I wouldn't read it as advertisers leaving CJ.

Sales signal: wait for two or three more monthly readings before you pitch CJ's churn as a trend.

Who the advertisers are

36.09% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 staff, 26.92% have 11 to 50 and 17.24% have 51 to 200. 91 have more than 1,000, 9.17% of those we could size, against 0.41% on GoAffPro's profile. Only 10.23% were founded in the 2020s. The names we verified are the kind of brands CJ has long sold to: Wyndham, Hawaiian Airlines, Steelcase and Herman Miller's stores, iRobot, Ghirardelli, Worldpay and Valley National Bank. Retail leads the industries at 12.96%, with technology, software and hospitality around 5% each.

Sales signal: CJ advertisers have affiliate managers and agency partners. Partnership tools, publisher-recruitment services and attribution products fit this base better than self-serve apps.

A Central European cluster

The United States has 560 matched companies. Then come the United Kingdom and Czechia, with 65 each, and Canada with 44. Slovakia, Poland and Hungary take Central Europe to 106. That's CJ's regional arm: per Wikipedia, its Czech and Polish offices are part of VIVnetworks, which covers Central and Eastern Europe. Dek, a Czech building-materials chain, and Generali Česká pojišťovna run the tag, and Shoptet, the Czech store builder, is on 4.44% of CJ domains.

Sales signal: for an agency or tool selling into Czech and Slovak ecommerce, CJ's advertisers there are a short, named list worth working by hand.

Beside other networks

Few CJ advertisers run a second network. 145 CJ domains also run AWIN today, out of 250 ever seen with both, 68 run impact.com and 23 run Rakuten Advertising. The Rakuten pair is the odd one: 126 domains have been seen with both, but only 23 still run both, and the moves go both ways, 25 from Rakuten to CJ and 18 the other way. None of these flows passes our switching tests.

Sales signal: the 126 domains ever seen with CJ and Rakuten are brands that have reviewed their network recently. Agencies offering network migration or programme audits should start there.

The stack around it

Google Tag Manager is on 95.49% of CJ domains and Google Analytics on 93.19%, and for several advertisers we checked, the CJ tag lives inside the tag manager rather than the page. Microsoft Advertising is on 54.75% and Floodlight on 43.35%, so these are brands buying paid search and display. OneTrust is on 17.2%, Tealium on 4.32%, and Shopify on only 16.3%, with Magento at 7.9%.

Sales signal: to confirm a CJ install, check the site's tag manager container as well as the page source.

What it costs

CJ publishes no advertiser price list. Its join page sends advertisers and agencies to a sales conversation and describes paying publishers for sales, leads or traffic. Its publisher page offers two payouts a month in dozens of currencies.
