Companies Using Tabs Studio

I expected Tabs Studio to be the easy page in this batch. A store counts when it loads a script from tabs.stationmade.com, the address Station's app registers on install, and that's what our October 2026 crawl finds on 5,741 live domains, 2,122 of them matched to a company. The app ranks 3rd of 59 in Product Customization with 3.64%. Working out what the script means took longer, because it doesn't draw the tabs.

Installed is not the same as visible

The file at tabs.stationmade.com is 128 bytes long. All it does is set a flag saying the app is registered. Station's help centre says the tabs themselves need the app embed switched on in the theme editor, and that embed loads from Shopify's own servers. So our count is of stores with Tabs Studio installed. In the 45 days to mid-October, we saw the tabs.stationmade.com script on 4,653 of the 5,427 live domains where we record scripts. In a random sample of 120 stores I opened on 15 October, 113 loaded it, 42 of those also had the app embed on the homepage, and 7 were behind a password page. On 15 product pages we opened in a browser, Station's tabs showed on 10: on all 7 stores with the embed on the homepage, and on 3 of 8 without it.

Sales signal: treat the list as stores that installed a product-page app and kept it. If you sell theme or product-page work, the stores without the embed are the more interesting half, since the app is there but may not be doing much.

A short history

We began tracking Tabs Studio on 4 August 2026, so the chart has three points: 4,499 in August, 5,513 in September and 5,741 in October. Most of that climb is ours. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead stores dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection of the app widened in its first weeks. Churn so far: 670 domains dropped it on at least one hostname since August, and 152 of those still run it on another.

Sales signal: three months of data is too short to call a trend. Use the list as a current snapshot, and re-check stores before outreach, since password pages turn up in about one sample store in 17.

Small, young stores

75.57% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, against 65.88% on Kiwi Sizing's profile. Only 3 have more than 1,000 staff. Age points the same way: 28.23% were founded in the 2020s and 46.84% in the 2010s. The larger names use it on a side shop, as Shakespeare's Globe does on its theatre shop, nobilia on its care and accessories store, and Nasco Healthcare on its simulation and training store.

Sales signal: with three in four matched companies at 10 staff or fewer, the buyer is usually the founder or a small ecommerce team. They chose a $3 app, so pitch time saved on product pages.

Health, beauty and a Canadian streak

Retail leads the industries at 20.11%, but the cluster that stands out is health and beauty. Personal Care Product Manufacturing (5.55%), Wellness and Fitness Services (4.33%) and Retail Health and Personal Care Products (2.01%) add up to 11.89%, more than the two apparel labels combined (10.79%). The named list shows it: Indonesia's NPURE, ESQA Cosmetics and Nama Beauty, the Philippine acne brand Remedy and Ultimate Performance's supplements. By country, the United States has 692 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (274), Canada (175), Australia (157), Germany (108) and India (90). Canada is Wellmade's home.

Sales signal: beauty and supplement brands carry long, regulated product copy. A content or compliance service can see how each store already splits its copy before the first call.

No switching, plenty of stacking

Tabs Studio has no published switching rows. Its table neighbours sit on the same product page, so stores add them rather than swap: 111 domains run Tabs Studio and Kiwi Sizing today, out of 136 ever seen with both. Pairs with option apps such as Bold Options are smaller, and none of these pairs passes our tests for a switch.

Sales signal: for a size-chart or options vendor, Tabs Studio stores are a warm list. They already pay to improve product pages and know how to switch on an app embed.

The stack around it

Across the 5,669 live domains in our stack base, Klaviyo runs on 30.78% and Judge.me on 30.11%. Two tools appear more often than on Kiwi Sizing's stores: Instafeed (28.49% against 16.76%) and Mailchimp (15.77% against 8.56%). Google Analytics is on 69.45% and Privy on 7.3%.

Sales signal: a Tabs Studio store on Mailchimp is a reasonable prospect for a Shopify-first email tool, and Instafeed on 28.49% of stores means many of these brands put Instagram posts on the storefront.

Price and merchant ratings

Tabs Studio's App Store listing (15 October 2026) has a Free plan, Essential at $3 a month and Plus at $6, each paid plan with a 3-day trial. Merchants rate it 4.9 from 174 reviews (24 October 2026), and Shopify's summary says they praise quick support and the free plan. The app launched on 23 January 2018.

Sales signal: at $3 to $6 a month, cost is unlikely to drive a switch. Reviews praise the support and the free plan, so a rival tabs app has to beat a 4.9-star record there first.
